Fantasy Tip: If Goodwin can stay healthy he could earn the No. 3 wide receiver job in Buffalo. That's a big if, though, as Goodwin has only played in 24 games over the last three seasons. He is at best only a late-round flier in standard leagues.

Fantasy Tip: It's definitely a positive step in Watkins' recovery. If he doesn't aggravate his foot injury then he should be fine for the start of the regular season. He's snugly in WR2 territory.

Fantasy Tip: Gillislee played pretty well when he was given the opportunity last year, averaging 5.7 yards on 47 carries. He will be competing with Jonathan Williams, Reggie Bush and others, but he's worth a look in the later rounds of deeper leagues, especially for those who are drafting LeSean McCoy.

Updating a previous report, Buffalo Bills RB Karlos Williams was beginning to gain the weight he had lost, demonstrating to the team he was not serious about football, a source said Saturday, Aug. 20.
Fantasy Tip: It might be a while before Williams re-surfaces, if he does at all. He has plenty of talent and NFL ability, but until he gets his conditioning under control he'll likely be on the unemployment line and off the fantasy radar.

Fantasy Tip: McCoy's rushing total is a bit sobering, but neither team did much on the ground. Still, the elusive 28-year-old is a low-end RB1 in all leagues when healthy and his ability to contribute in the passing game is a big reason why. In theory, Karlos Williams' release on Saturday should lock him "Shady" into a 20-touch-per-game workload and perhaps free up some more touchdown opportunities after he managed only five combined scores a season ago.

Buffalo Bills RB Reggie Bush has been considered the favorite to serve as the direct backup for RB LeSean McCoy since the former was signed earlier this month, even before the release of Karlos Williams, according to ESPN.com's Mike Rodak.
Fantasy Tip: This is a bit of an upset since it was thought Karlos Williams, Mike Gillislee and rookie Jonathan Williams were vying for the job. At the moment, however, only Jonathan Williams is available to compete with Bush. For now, owners need to consider Bush the handcuff to own in Buffalo and a player worthy of a late-round fantasy draft pick, especially given McCoy's recent off-field indiscretions and injury history.

Fantasy Tip: There should be another update on Gillislee's status shortly. In the wake of Karlos Williams' release earlier in the day and this injury, rookie Jonathan Williams has a chance to make a move in his quest to secure No. 2 duties behind LeSean McCoy.

Fantasy Tip: Watkins should still be good to go for the regular season opener as long as he doesn't suffer any setbacks. He's comfortably in WR2 territory as the Bills' only legitimate receiving threat.

Fantasy Tip: The 23-year-old Williams collected 517 rushing yards and averaged 5.6 yards per carry during his rookie season but was suspended for four games after violating the NFL's substance abuse policy and showed up at camp grossly overweight. Chances are that another NFL club will take a flier on him because of his potential, making him worthy of consideration in the later rounds of traditional drafts. RBs Reggie Bush, Mike Gillislee and Jonathan Williams should see slight increases in fantasy value backing up starter LeSean McCoy and should also be viewed as late-round considerations.
