Bills | LeSean McCoy has struggled vs. AFC East

Tue, 07 Jul 2015 16:22:19 -0700

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy hasn't seen a lot of action against AFC East teams in his career. However, when he has played against them, he hasn't seen much success. In four career games against AFC East opponents, McCoy has averaged only 62.8 rushing yards per game and 3.8 yards per carry. He has, however, scored seven times in those four games.

Fantasy Tip: The AFC East usually boasts one of the best defensive conferences in the league every year. McCoy will have plenty of opportunities to improve on those yardage numbers in 2015 as he'll play against the three divisional opponents twice each. While he has struggled in the past, he should still be regarded as a low-end RB1.

Bills | MarQueis Gray likes new offense

Mon, 06 Jul 2015 16:01:53 -0700

Buffalo Bills TE MarQueis Gray said he likes the team's new offense because of the way it uses the tight end. "This offense right here is tight end heaven," Gray said. "We move around so much that we really play receiver, slot, we play everything but running back. You could line up at any of those spots that's the best part about this offense."

Bills | Matt Cassel could receive extension

Sun, 05 Jul 2015 07:17:43 -0700

Buffalo Bills QB Matt Cassel is a candidate for a contract extension if he wins the starting job during training camp. He is scheduled to count $4.75 million against the salary cap this season.

Fantasy Tip: Cassel will be part of a quarterback competition during training camp and the preseason. He struggled at times during offseason workouts, but there does not appear to be a favorite for the starting job. Cassel would not be more than a No. 2 quarterback in deeper leagues if he is able to win the job.

Bills | Sammy Watkins should be ready for camp

Sun, 05 Jul 2015 07:11:50 -0700

Buffalo Bills WR Sammy Watkins (hip) is expected to be ready for the start of training camp after he was limited during offseason workouts.

Fantasy Tip: Watkins is working his way back from offseason hip surgery and will be the team's No. 1 receiver this season if he is healthy. Watkins' fantasy value will be affected by the new run-first offense but could still be a middle- to late-round option in most fantasy leagues.

Bills | Fred Jackson favorite for No. 2 RB job

Sun, 05 Jul 2015 07:11:16 -0700

Buffalo Bills RB Fred Jackson is expected to be the leading candidate for the No. 2 running back job entering training camp. Jackson will have to contribute on the field if he wants to stay with the team since he does not play special teams.

Fantasy Tip: Jackson should be the favorite since he is the most experienced running back behind LeSean McCoy. Jackson should receive a solid amount of reps during the preseason and could be a late-round option in drafts this season if he wins the job.

Bills | EJ Manuel afraid to cut it loose?

Sat, 04 Jul 2015 17:53:02 -0700

Buffalo Bills QB EJ Manuel was called "timid" by former FS Ronde Barber. He holds the ball," Barber said. "He's scared to deliver it when he needs to."

Fantasy Tip: Manuel has a chance to start Week 1 for the Bills, but even as the starter, he is a fringe QB2 at best in Buffalo's run-heavy attack.

Bills | Percy Harvin looking to improve

Fri, 26 Jun 2015 15:49:47 -0700

Buffalo Bills WR Percy Harvin said he has been working with wide receivers coach Sanjay Lal this offseason in hopes of becoming a more complete wide receiver. "I feel that it's time for me to put it all together," Harvin said. "I feel like I have the coaching staff and support here in Buffalo to get that done. The owners here are unbelievable. Everything here spells success for me. The world has yet to see me explode like I'm about to."

Fantasy Tip: Harvin has not seen regular playing time as a wide receiver over the past few years and has been used more in gadget plays. Harvin could have a solid role in the offense this season and could be a late-round option in deeper leagues.

Thu, 25 Jun 2015 10:18:17 -0700

Bills | Bryce Brown may be on bubble

Tue, 23 Jun 2015 14:52:07 -0700

Bills | Fred Jackson expects to compete for job

Tue, 23 Jun 2015 14:27:11 -0700

Buffalo Bills RB Fred Jackson said he expects to compete for a roster spot during training camp. "We'll see what happens with me getting cut or not," Jackson said. "I'll go out and do whatever I can to make sure that doesn't happen. We've got to compete every year. This year is no different than any other year. I've got to go out and compete for my job."

Fantasy Tip: Jackson likely will be the No. 2 running back this season unless he really struggles during training camp. LeSean McCoy likely will receive a majority of the carries, but Jackson should have a role in the offense. Jackson could be a late-round option in drafts as a handcuff to McCoy or depth at running back.
