Ravens | John Harbaugh wants Anquan Boldin back

Tue, 28 Mar 2017 17:34:17 -0700

Free-agent WR Anquan Boldin's (Lions) possible future with the Baltimore Ravens is in the hands of general manager Ozzie Newsome, according to head coach John Harbaugh. Harbaugh said he would love to have his former receiver back in Baltimore.

Fantasy Tip: Boldin is one of the best available free agents, but he will turn 37 years old later this year. The Ravens do lack depth at wide receiver, but Boldin would be no more than a flex consideration in PPR leagues if he did sign with his former squad.

Ravens | Dennis Pitta takes pay cut

Wed, 22 Mar 2017 06:50:58 -0700

Updating a previous report, Baltimore Ravens TE Dennis Pitta took a $2.5 million pay cut over the next two seasons. He will make $2.5 million in base salary in 2017 along with a $500,000 roster bonus. He was previously scheduled to earn $5.5 million. This gives Baltimore an additional $2.5 million in cap space in 2017 and 2018.

Fantasy Tip: Pitta led all tight ends with 86 catches last year. Coming off of two serious hip injuries with his career in limbo, it was an outstanding feat. His 729 yards not withstanding, his 8.5 yards per catch and two touchdowns left a lot to be desired. He's a low-end TE1 in standard formats, but he'll receive a slight boost in PPR leagues entering his age-32 season.
