Newsome said, "At some point I'm coming back home. I'm coming home. And what I do when I get here I don't know. But I am coming home. You know what? I want to watch Alabama football, sit in the stands and have a good time, go to basketball games. I want to come out here and watch the golf team. That's what I want to do after I win me two more Super Bowls." Newsome was elusive about his interest in the athletic director position for the school.

"Their background matters," Harbaugh said. "We want to bring guys in here that are what we consider Ravens. So, any player that we bring in here, we've got to be convinced that he's a man of integrity, a high-character guy, and that our players can respect him in the locker room. That's going to be true whether it's in a draft or free agency or any guys we choose to re-sign. "I'm on schedule, which is about six to eight months from January, which is when I had my surgery. Hopefully, I can get on the early part of that, which would be around September. Right now, everything feels good. Most likely, I'll miss all of training camp," Yanda said. He likely will be placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list prior to the start of training camp.
