Baltimore Ravens OT Eugene Monroe (concussion) said he expects to play in the Week 5 game against the Cleveland Browns after sitting out since Week 1 because of a concussion. Monroe wore a darkened visor during practice Wednesday, Oct. 7, to help with his sensitivity to the sunlight.

Baltimore Ravens DE Chris Canty (calf) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 7. OG Marshal Yanda (ankle) was limited during practice, while OT Eugene Monroe (concussion) fully participated in practice.

Fantasy Tip: Owners will have to check on Gillmore's ($3,400, 6.8% of cap) status later in the week to see if he will be able to play in Week 5 against the Cleveland Browns. Gillmore has played well in the first part of the season but would be a risky option since he is returning from injury.

Fantasy Tip: There is no timetable for Perriman's ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) return, so owners should continue to avoid him until he is able to return to the practice field.

Fantasy Tip: Smith ($6,900, 13.8% of cap) has not been ruled out for the Week 5 game against the Cleveland Browns at this point, but it looks like he will miss at least one game. Owners should have other options ready if Smith is inactive for the game.

Fantasy Tip: Taliaferro ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) has not done much in his limited snaps this season and should not be an option if he is active for the Week 5 game against the Cleveland Browns.

Baltimore Ravens WR Steve Smith (back) is week-to-week with microfractures in his back, but he hasn't been ruled out for Week 5 against the Cleveland Browns yet, according to head coach John Harbaugh. Harbaugh also said Smith won't need surgery and that his injury is a matter of pain tolerance. Smith won't be back on the field until he proves he can "really function, protect himself, play hard and fast."
Fantasy Tip: Harbaugh backtracked on his statements over the weekend saying that Smith ($6,900, 13.8% of cap) would be out. However, it looks unlikely that he'll be able to return against Cleveland, so you should ignore him in daily formats. Kamar Aiken ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) is the deep sleeper you should take a look at on FantasyScore, and Chris Givens ($2,000) could surprise, too, if Smith doesn't play.

Fantasy Tip: Givens ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) is talented, and the team is thin at receiver, but it's a shot in the dark on FantasyScore against the Cleveland Browns.

Fantasy Tip: Smith ($6,900, 13.8% of cap) wouldn't be a good play against the Cleveland Browns on FantasyScore. Aiken ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) could be a flyer worth making in his place, however.

Fantasy Tip: Gillmore missed the last game because of the injury but has received a few extra days of rest since the team played Thursday, Oct. 1. Owners should monitor his practice participation to receive a better idea of his status.

Baltimore Ravens WR Breshad Perriman (knee) is still trying to recover from his posterior cruciate ligament sprain. Head coach John Harbaugh said it is one of the longest rehabs he has seen for this injury but is not blaming Perriman.
Fantasy Tip: There is still no definite timetable for Perriman, so owners should continue to monitor his situation. Kamar Aiken probably is the best fantasy option for owners in Week 5 with Steve Smith not expected to play.

Baltimore Ravens RB Justin Forsett carried the ball a season-high 26 times in Week 4, and the Ravens ran the ball 19 times and threw the ball 15 times after WR Steve Smith (back) exited with a back injury.
Fantasy Tip: With Smith already ruled out against Cleveland, Forsett will be a very attractive option at FantasyScore against a shaky Cleveland run defense.

Fantasy Tip: With Smith already ruled out, Kamar Aiken becomes a potential value pick in Week 5, but Justin Forsett could be the biggest beneficiary if the Ravens decide to lean more on the ground game.

Fantasy Tip: Owners will need to monitor Smith's ($6,900, 13.8% of cap) practice participation to see if he has a chance to play in Week 5. Owners should have other options ready in case Smith is not able to play, because he has played well in the first four games of the season.
