NFL | Amari Cooper makes more visits

Sat, 25 Apr 2015 12:14:31 -0700

Alabama WR Amari Cooper has visited the Chicago Bears, Washington Redskins, New York Giants and Tampa Bay Buccaneers in addition to his other pre-draft visits. Cooper has visited every team drafting in the top 10 except for the Oakland Raiders.

Fantasy Tip: Cooper is considered the top wide receiver prospect in this year's draft class. It's tough to determine Cooper's value at this point, and we'll have a clearer picture a week from now, but a player with his talent could potentially achieve at least WR3 status.

NFL | Jameis Winston compared to QB bust

Fri, 24 Apr 2015 14:57:40 -0700

Florida State QB Jameis Winston has been compared to former NFL QB JaMarcus Russell by one longtime NFL executive. "Lack of focus by JaMarcus is what I see in Winston," the personnel man said. "They're physically talented, but during the course of a game they kind of lose their focus and just put the ball up for grabs. I see the body. I see the lack of focus. I see the same coach and system. Only Winston's not as good an athlete and his arm isn't as strong as JaMarcus'."

Fantasy Tip: Winston is believed to be the leading candidate to be selected first overall in the 2015 NFL Draft, but he will enter the league with some off-field issues. Winston likely will compete for the starting job but likely will only be a No. 2 fantasy quarterback next season.
