Free-agent RB Stevan Ridley (knee) is expected to receive clearance to return to the field at some point in May. Ridley has met with the Miami Dolphins and New York Jets but is not scheduled to meet with any more teams at this point.
Fantasy Tip: Ridley is working his way back from an anterior cruciate ligament injury, so he could be limited during offseason workouts if he signs with a team. He likely will be able to find a backup job with a team but likely will not be a great fantasy option in 2015.

Florida State QB Jameis Winston has been secretly followed by representatives of NFL teams in order for teams to keep an eye on him, according to his quarterback coach George Whitfield Jr. "They've staged people," Whitfield said. "Yeah, there are teams that have staged people on different flights he had, just to kind of be in the midst -- a fly on the wall. No [Jameis wasn't aware of it], but I had a team official tell me that. They were aware of another team that said they wanted to do that."
Fantasy Tip: Winston has had some off-field issues over the past few years, so teams likely will take a closer look at him leading up to the draft. Winston is considered the favorite to be selected with the first overall pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He likely would compete for the starting job but should not be considered as more than a No. 2 fantasy quarterback if he wins the job.

Fantasy Tip: Mariota could be the first or second overall pick to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers or Tennessee Titans. Rookie quarterbacks are usually risky players to draft, especially if one is considering them to be their starter. Draft Mariota as a backup if you're going to draft him.

Florida State QB Jameis Winston weighed in at 231 pounds at his school's pro day Tuesday, March 31, which was the same weight he was at during the NFL Scouting Combine last month. Tampa Bay Buccaneers general manager Jason Licht said the reports that Winston had gained weight after the season ended are false. The Buccaneers are expected to take Winston with the No. 1 overall pick, but they aren't ready to firmly say that Winston will be their pick.
Fantasy Tip: Winston is almost a surefire lock to be the top overall pick in this year's draft to the Bucs. He'll be worth a late-round flier in standard fantasy football drafts if he's starting in Week 1, but he'll be a shaky QB2 option.

Former Florida State QB Jameis Winston originally said he may stay home during the NFL Draft. However, Winston said Tuesday, March 31, that he might be going to the draft. Winston said the main reason he may not attend the draft is to spend time with more people who impacted his path to the NFL.

Former Florida State QB Jameis Winston reportedly struggled with throwing on the run during his pro day Tuesday, March 31. However, Winston did throw better on deep passes from the pocket and on throws in the red zone.
Fantasy Tip: Winston still has time to prove he can throw from anywhere and from any speed. He is still considered to be the top option for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with the No. 1 overall pick. However, he probably won't be starting fantasy quarterback material just yet.

Free-agent LB Lance Briggs (Bears) still thinks he can "perform at an elite level." He'll turn 35 years old this November. Briggs played in only eight games in 2014 before going on Injured Reserve with a groin injury. Briggs has drawn interest this offseason from the San Francisco 49ers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Dallas Cowboys.

Florida State QB Jameis Winston is expected to the sixth quarterback selected No. 1 in the NFL Draft in the last 10 years, and NFL media analyst Lance Zierlein said Winston is his No. 5 quarterback in the last five years. Analyst Gil Brandt called Winston "an elite talent" and one of the top-10 quarterbacks in the last decade. Winston has been compared to former Oakland Raiders QB JaMarcus Russell and Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger, and analyst Daniel Jeremiah isn't concerned about Winston being a bust like Russell.
Fantasy Tip: Winston is widely speculated to be going to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with the top overall pick in the draft. Winston will have a good shot to start in Week 1 over Mike Glennon, too. In his rookie season, Winston is worth a late-round selection as a QB 2 with upside in standard leagues, but nothing more.
