Carolina Panthers DB Robert Lester, Cleveland Browns TE Gerell Robinson, Dallas Cowboys DT Ken Bishop and LB Korey Toomer and Miami Dolphins DT Deandre Coleman cleared waivers and became free agents Monday, Oct. 20.

Free-agent RB Ray Rice (Ravens) could be reinstated by the NFL by mid-November after a scheduled appeal hearing, which would allow him to sign with another team. There is no guarantee a team would sign him right away, though.
Fantasy Tip: Rice's situation is worth watching, but he probably isn't worth rostering except in deep leagues.

Free-agent OG Jason Pinkston (lung) said he has been medically cleared to start working out and would like to try to play again in the NFL. Pinkston suffered a blood clot in his lung during the offseason and was waived by the Cleveland Browns with an injury settlement.

Free-agent RB Ray Rice's (Ravens) case is expected to be completed by the end of this month, according to a league source. Once Robert Mueller's investigation is completed, the report could be done before November.

The National Football League plans to bring one, or as many as two, franchises to the Los Angeles area as soon as the 2016 season. If it happens, the move would occur within the next 12-24 months and may involve some combination of the St. Louis Rams, the Oakland Raiders and/or the San Diego Chargers.
