Free-agent RB Ray Rice (Ravens) had his legal record cleared of the domestic violence charge after finishing a pretrial diversion program as part of the conditions of his sentencing for the 2014 legal matter.
Fantasy Tip: Rice hasn't worked out for any teams since being cut by the Ravens and is probably done in the NFL due to the toxicity of his situation.

The 2016 free-agent class of left tackles is deep and talented, as it currently projects. The following players are entering the final year of their existing contracts: Washington Redskins OT Trent Williams, New England Patriots OT Nate Solder, Indianapolis Colts OT Anthony Castonzo, Seattle Seahawks OT Russell Okung, Cincinnati Bengals OT Andrew Whitworth, Oakland Raiders OT Donald Penn, Pittsburgh Steelers OT Kelvin Beachum and Buffalo Bills OT Cordy Glenn.

The upcoming group of potential free-agent wide receivers includes four of the positions most dominant players, including Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant, Denver Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas, Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green and Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones, according to Spotrac.com. All four players are engaging in contract discussions on some level with their current teams.
Fantasy Tip: While it looks impressive on paper, the reality of any of these guys hitting the open market seems extremely low, let alone the idea of all four of them at the same time. Nevertheless, each one has something extra to play for in 2015, which only helps their fantasy value, all things being equal. Each player makes for a fine WR1 to build a fantasy team around.

The NFL's rule change to move back point-after attempts should result in approximately 70 misses, netting out near a 94% accuracy rate, as the NFL hopes, according to the Detroit Free Press' Dave Birkett. NFL place kickers attempted 1,230 extra points in 2014 and missed only eight kicks.
Fantasy Tip: Fantasy footballers need to check their league's scoring rules, since some systems deduct points for missed PATs. A miss is too random to predict, but expect a few of them to come from kickers in cold-weather cities late in the system.

NFL owners approved a proposal from the competition committee Tuesday, May 19, that will see PATs being kicked from the 15-yard line and two-point conversion attempts taken from the two-yard line.
Fantasy Tip: Fantasy owners will need to put a bit more effort into selecting their kicker every week. In the real world, there's bound to be shorter leashes on kickers, who'll now be held accountable for missing the extra point. On the flip side, tight ends could see increased production as teams may elect to pass from the two-yard line instead of risking a missed kick.

Free-agent WR Santana Moss (Redskins) is not ready to hang up his cleats and retire this offseason. "I'm a free agent right now, you know how they do us old guys," Moss said. "I'm going on my 15th year. Right now my agent is talking with some teams to see what's going to be my best scenario. Right now I'm just chilling, just enjoying life, and enjoying this off time." The Washington Redskins are unlikely to re-sign him, though, after drafting two wide receivers late in this year's draft.

Free-agent RB Steven Jackson (Falcons) said he would like to keep playing but will only do so for a contender. "I want to be part of a winning team because when I do hang up my cleats, I can see a lot of people holding that over my head when a lot of it was out of my control," Jackson said.
Fantasy Tip: Even if a contender ends up signing Jackson, he isn't likely to have a major role. The best-case scenario would be for Jackson to handle some work around the goal line.

Former New England Patriots TE Aaron Hernandez has been indicted for the alleged shooting of a witness regarding the 2012 double homicide in Boston. The witness was allegedly shot in the face by Hernandez. The charge carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison. Hernandez has already been found guilty of first-degree murder in the slaying of Odin Lloyd and faces a life sentence in prison without the possibility of parole.

Free-agent RB Ahmad Bradshaw (Colts) pleaded no contest and paid a fine to settle a misdemeanor count of marijuana possession in Ohio. He paid $351 in fines under the plea agreement, and his Ohio driving privileges were suspended for six months. NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said the league will review Bradshaw's case "under our policies."
Fantasy Tip: It's unclear if Bradshaw will face punishment from the league, and he already wasn't attractive to teams on the open market after suffering a broken leg in 2014. Bradshaw could still land with a team before the 2015 season, but he's unlikely to have much, if any, fantasy value.

Louisiana State OT La'el Collins, who was projected to be a first-round pick in last week's draft, is not considered a suspect in his connection to a double-murder investigation. He has met with private investigators and "fully cooperated with investigators and is still not considered a suspect."
