Free-agent TE Jermichael Finley (neck) has received interest from some teams but likely will not play in 2014, according to sources. Finley is finalizing a $10 million disability insurance policy that likely would be paid to him in a few months if he does not play this season. Finley is still not able to pass a physical at this point.

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly said Wednesday, Sept. 24, that he was surprised free-agent RB LaMichael James (49ers) was still available on the open market. He coached James at the University of Oregon. "I think LaMichael's a hell of a football player," Kelly said. "I think maybe the timing had something to do with it because people's rosters may have been set. But I know him first-hand, I got an opportunity to catch him. I love the kid. He's an awesome football player, he's an awesome person."

The San Diego Chargers and Buffalo Bills are dealing with 24 mph winds during their Week 3 game.

Fantasy Tip: Strong winds likely will affect the passing and kicking games for both teams. Philip Rivers, EJ Manuel and all of the receivers should be considered risky plays because of the heavy winds.

NFL | Ray Rice to say tape was edited

Free-agent RB Ray Rice (Ravens) will argue during his appeal hearing that the tape that was released of his domestic violence incident was edited, according to a source. Rice has been suspended indefinitely for the incident.

Fantasy Tip: Rice will not be allow to play this season unless he has his suspension lifted or reduced, but it is hard to see a team signing him at this point. Rice is not an option in any league at this point.
