Fantasy Tip: Stroman ($7,600, 15.2% of cap) wasn't bad but wasn't great in his start earlier in the series, allowing four runs (three earned) on five hits in seven innings against the Rangers. For a guy with only four starts in the regular season due to injury, it's tough to put your money on him in a winner-take-all playoff game on FantasyScore.

Toronto Blue Jays SP Marco Estrada limited the Texas Rangers to one run and five hits over 6 1/3 innings, with four strikeouts and no walks, in a 5-1 victory on Sunday, Oct. 11. The win cut Toronto's deficit to two games to one in the American League Division Series.
Fantasy Tip: Estrada ($7,300, 14.6% of cap) did what David Price and Marcus Stroman couldn;t do and that's win. Granted, the bullpen did Stroman no favors, but Estrada looked sharp at times in his postseason debut. He should be a part of the starting rotation and someone to look forward to in 2016. If he gets another start in this postseason, take the chance in FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: Tulowitzki ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) had been in a slump since returning to the Toronto lineup after missing 19 games due to injury. Whether it is the warm Texas air or something else that agrees with him, he may be back in action. He is worth the pickup in FantasyScore if starting.

Fantasy Tip: Dickey ($6,700, 13.4% of cap) may have David Price available out of the bullpen, so there is a chance Dickey will only pitch a few innings. At this rate, you may want to avoid using him in FantasyScore postseason play.

Toronto Blue Jays C Russell Martin is not in the starting lineup Sunday, Oct. 11, for Game 3 of the American League Division Series against the Texas Rangers. C Dioner Navarro will bat seventh against Rangers SP Martin Perez.
Fantasy Tip: Martin ($5,000, 10.0% of cap) has a higher batting average against the left, but 18 of Martin's 23 homers have come against right-handed pitching. Navarro ($3,300, 6.6% of cap) has a similar average (.278-3-5 against lefties), so he may be a decent option if you're trying to save some cap room.

Fantasy Tip: Colabello ($5,200, 10.4% of cap) is hitting a lot like he did when he started 2014 with the Minnesota Twins. He eventually faded there. So far, he's looking like a solid option for FantasyScore lineups with a .304 average in the last week.

Updating a previous report, Toronto Blue Jays RP Brett Cecil (calf) will miss the remainder of the postseason due to a torn left calf muscle. The injury will not require surgery and he should be able to fully recover by just resting.
Fantasy Tip: Cecil should be completely healthy by the time spring training rolls around. Ryan Tepera will replace Cecil on the Jays' postseason roster, with Aaron Loup likely to assume the role as Toronto's top left-handed reliever.

Toronto Blue Jays RP Brett Cecil (calf) suffered a left calf injury while trying to chase down Texas Rangers 1B Mike Napoli during a rundown in the eighth inning of Game 2 of the American League Division Series Friday, Oct. 9. He had to be helped off the field by the trainer and manager John Gibbons said that Cecil suffered a "pretty significant tear."
Fantasy Tip: Based on Gibbons' characterization of the injury, it appears likely that Cecil will miss the remainder of the postseason.

Toronto Blue Jays SP Marcus Stroman allowed four runs (three earned) on five hits over seven innings in a no-decision against the Texas Rangers in Game 2 of the American League Division Series Friday, Oct. 9, with two walks and five strikeouts.
Fantasy Tip: Stroman ($7,600, 15.2% of cap) carried a 4-3 lead into the eighth inning of his first postseason start but the bullpen was unable to hold the lead after he exited the game with the tying run on base. He is unlikely to start again in this series but is worth considering for FantasyScore lineups if the Jays advance to the ALCS.

Toronto Blue Jays 1B Chris Colabello is starting at first base and is hitting sixth against Texas Rangers SP Cole Hamels in Game 2 of the division series Friday, Oct. 9. 1B Justin Smoak will start on the bench against the lefty.
Fantasy Tip: Colabello ($5,200, 10.4% of cap) is a sneaky under-the-radar FantasyScore pick with all four divisional games going Friday. He hit .308/.364/.571 with a .935 OPS and seven of his 15 home runs off southpaws this season.
Fri, 09 Oct 2015 07:52:52 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Joey Bats ($6,000. 12.0% of cap) left Game 1 with a leg ailment in the ninth inning. He's 3-for-9 (.333) lifetime off Cole Hamels and is an upper-tier outfielder on FantasyScore.
Fri, 09 Oct 2015 06:35:33 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Donaldson ($6,200. 12.4% of cap) left Game 1 after taking a knee to the head on a slide. He draws Cole Hamels today, and Donaldson hit .299-9-25 in 117 at-bats against lefties. He's a good start on FantasyScore.
Thu, 08 Oct 2015 17:28:02 -0700
Fantasy Tip: For as dominant as Price ($8,500, 17.0% of cap) has been in the regular season throughout his career, his postseason numbers are shockingly bad. He is 1-6 with a 4.79 ERA through 11 career playoff games, including six starts. Price was pitching on 11 days' rest, so rust could have been a factor Thursday.

Updating previous reports, Toronto Blue Jays 3B Josh Donaldson (head) and OF Jose Bautista (hamstring) are expected to be fine for Game 2 of the division series against the Texas Rangers Friday, Oct. 9. Donaldson passed his concussion tests. Bautista is dealing with right hamstring tightness. Both injuries are mild.
Fantasy Tip: The entire Blue Jays organization just let out a sigh of relief. Both Donaldson ($6,200, 12.4% of cap) and Bautista ($6,000, 12.0% of cap) are strong picks on FantasyScore tomorrow against another left-handed pitcher.
Thu, 08 Oct 2015 15:18:49 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Keep an eye on Bautista's ($6,000, 12.0% of cap) injury as we learn more. It didn't look too serious initially, and reporters suggested it may have been a cramp. Regardless, this could be a huge blow to Toronto's offense coupled with the injury to Josh Donaldson (head). If both Bautista and Donaldson are out for Game 2, starting Cole Hamels ($7,900, 15.8% of cap) on FantasyScore will be much more acceptable.
