Toronto Blue Jays OF Chris Colabello will start at first base and hit fifth in the order Sunday, Aug. 2, against the Kansas City Royals and RHP Edinson Volquez. 1B Justin Smoak comes out of the lineup.
Fantasy Tip: Colabello ($4,000, 8.0% of cap) has a three-game hit streak, including a pinch-hit single Saturday. Colabello isn't the Blue Jays' best FantasyScore option, but he'll be hitting in an excellent position to drive in runs.

Fantasy Tip: Revere ($4,200, 8.4% of cap) went 0-for-5 in his Blue Jays debut, but he'll now be in a position to hit in front of the like of Tulo and Josh Donaldson. As long as Revere can start getting on base, is fantasy value will soar.

Fantasy Tip: Bautista ($6,000, 12.0% of cap) still has plenty of power, but he is batting just .223 this year. Make sure he draws a favorable matchup or is riding a hot streak before paying his hefty price tag at FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: Kawasaki has not done much at the plate in his limited playing time with Toronto this season. He likely will be a bench player while he is with the team and is not a fantasy option.

Toronto Blue Jays SS Troy Tulowitzki is not in the starting lineup against Kansas City Royals SP Yordano Ventura Saturday, Aug. 1. 2B Ryan Goins will start at shortstop and is batting ninth in the lineup.
Fantasy Tip: Tulowitzki ($5,400, 10.8% of cap) probably will return to the lineup in the next day. Goins ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) has three hits in his last five games and probably should be avoided by owners on FantasyScore.

Toronto Blue Jays C Russell Martin is not in the starting lineup against Kansas City Royals SP Yordano Ventura Saturday, Aug. 1. C Dioner Navarro will start at catcher and is batting sixth in the lineup.
Fantasy Tip: Martin ($4,600, 9.2% of cap) likely is receiving a day off and should return to the lineup soon. Navarro ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) hit only .192 in limited playing time in July and probably is not the best option for owners on FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: It is not known if Revere ($4,200, 8.4% of cap) will stay in the leadoff position, but it would help his fantasy value if he did. Revere is coming off a solid July and should be a starting option for owners on FantasyScore.
Sat, 01 Aug 2015 08:04:12 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Revere ($4,200, 8.4% of cap) was acquired by the Blue Jays at the trade deadline and will be in the lineup most of the time. He has seven hits in his last six games and could be a solid starting option on FantasyScore.
Sat, 01 Aug 2015 07:42:43 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Both players are being moved because the team added Ben Revere ($4,200, 8.4% of cap), who should see solid playing time and could be an option on FantasyScore. Valencia ($2,900, 5.8% of cap) and Carrera ($2,600, 5.2% of cap) could join other teams in the near future, but owners should avoid them for the time being.

Fantasy Tip: Encarnacion ($5,400, 10.8% of cap) does have 19 home runs and 56 RBI, but otherwise he's been a bit of a disappointment for the Blue Jays with a .238 average (81-for-341), and he's hitting .227 in the month of July. In his first game back after sitting out several games against ace Cueto, Encarnacion isn't the most appealing FantasyScore player to choose from.

Updating an ongoing story, Toronto Blue Jays OF Ben Revere will bat at the bottom of the batting order and platoon in left field, according to manager John Gibbons. Gibbons did not reveal who Revere would platoon with, though.
Fantasy Tip: Don't fret hitting in the bottom of the lineup because Revere ($4,200, 8.4% of cap) will still be batting in front of Toronto's best hitters. He receives a modest upgrade with the move to the Jays, although, he might receive fewer at-bats, which could mitigate the boost his new surroundings provide. It is somewhat of a wait-and-see situation. Expect one of Danny Valencia ($2,900, 5.8% of cap) and Chris Colabello ($4,000, 8.0% of cap) to be the platoon partner.

Fantasy Tip: Price ($9,100, 18.2% of cap) can be started with confidence in the majority of matchups, and expect the lefty to have a solid debut outing with the Jays Monday. Just note, the Twins have been scoring a lot of runs of late, which adds a degree of risk for FantasyScore players looking to spend up for Price.

Fantasy Tip: The Blue Jays are clearly all in in 2015 after trading for Troy Tulowitzki and David Price earlier this week. Expect Revere ($4,200, 8.4% of cap) to hit leadoff in Toronto. Moving from baseball's worst team to the best offensive team in the bigs should do wonders for Revere's fantasy value in all formats. The move will also allow Tulowitzki to return to a lineup spot he's more accustomed to in a run-producing position. Danny Valencia and Chris Colabello figure to lose out on playing time with Revere in the picture.
Fri, 31 Jul 2015 09:51:44 -0700
Fantasy Tip: That's music to Travis' ($4,900, 9.8% of cap) owners' ears, and it's definitely reason to hang onto him in all leagues, especially since he's likely to return to the leadoff role in a revamped Toronto lineup when he's healthy. Ryan Goins will take over for Travis in the meantime, but he only has value in the deepest of leagues and isn't attractive in daily formats.
Fri, 31 Jul 2015 09:27:02 -0700
Fantasy Tip: It's Travis' second DL trip for the same shoulder. It's unclear how much time he'll miss this time around, but be patient and stash him in all leagues for now. Ryan Goins ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) will see the bulk of the starts at second base in Travis' absence, but Goins is a weak fantasy option only for those in the deepest of leagues if you're desperate for middle infield help.
