Toronto Blue Jays RP Brett Cecil (calf) suffered a left calf injury while trying to chase down Texas Rangers 1B Mike Napoli during a rundown in the eighth inning of Game 2 of the American League Division Series Friday, Oct. 9. He had to be helped off the field by the trainer and manager John Gibbons said that Cecil suffered a "pretty significant tear."
Fantasy Tip: Based on Gibbons' characterization of the injury, it appears likely that Cecil will miss the remainder of the postseason.

Toronto Blue Jays SP Marcus Stroman allowed four runs (three earned) on five hits over seven innings in a no-decision against the Texas Rangers in Game 2 of the American League Division Series Friday, Oct. 9, with two walks and five strikeouts.
Fantasy Tip: Stroman ($7,600, 15.2% of cap) carried a 4-3 lead into the eighth inning of his first postseason start but the bullpen was unable to hold the lead after he exited the game with the tying run on base. He is unlikely to start again in this series but is worth considering for FantasyScore lineups if the Jays advance to the ALCS.

Toronto Blue Jays 1B Chris Colabello is starting at first base and is hitting sixth against Texas Rangers SP Cole Hamels in Game 2 of the division series Friday, Oct. 9. 1B Justin Smoak will start on the bench against the lefty.
Fantasy Tip: Colabello ($5,200, 10.4% of cap) is a sneaky under-the-radar FantasyScore pick with all four divisional games going Friday. He hit .308/.364/.571 with a .935 OPS and seven of his 15 home runs off southpaws this season.

Fantasy Tip: Joey Bats ($6,000. 12.0% of cap) left Game 1 with a leg ailment in the ninth inning. He's 3-for-9 (.333) lifetime off Cole Hamels and is an upper-tier outfielder on FantasyScore.
Fri, 09 Oct 2015 06:35:33 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Donaldson ($6,200. 12.4% of cap) left Game 1 after taking a knee to the head on a slide. He draws Cole Hamels today, and Donaldson hit .299-9-25 in 117 at-bats against lefties. He's a good start on FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: For as dominant as Price ($8,500, 17.0% of cap) has been in the regular season throughout his career, his postseason numbers are shockingly bad. He is 1-6 with a 4.79 ERA through 11 career playoff games, including six starts. Price was pitching on 11 days' rest, so rust could have been a factor Thursday.

Updating previous reports, Toronto Blue Jays 3B Josh Donaldson (head) and OF Jose Bautista (hamstring) are expected to be fine for Game 2 of the division series against the Texas Rangers Friday, Oct. 9. Donaldson passed his concussion tests. Bautista is dealing with right hamstring tightness. Both injuries are mild.
Fantasy Tip: The entire Blue Jays organization just let out a sigh of relief. Both Donaldson ($6,200, 12.4% of cap) and Bautista ($6,000, 12.0% of cap) are strong picks on FantasyScore tomorrow against another left-handed pitcher.
Thu, 08 Oct 2015 15:18:49 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Keep an eye on Bautista's ($6,000, 12.0% of cap) injury as we learn more. It didn't look too serious initially, and reporters suggested it may have been a cramp. Regardless, this could be a huge blow to Toronto's offense coupled with the injury to Josh Donaldson (head). If both Bautista and Donaldson are out for Game 2, starting Cole Hamels ($7,900, 15.8% of cap) on FantasyScore will be much more acceptable.

Fantasy Tip: Donaldson ($6,200, 12.4% of cap) appeared to hit his head hard during a collision at second base while he was sliding. Check back for updates and official announcements from the team, but it is likely Donaldson is being tested for a concussion. Stay tuned.

Fantasy Tip: Price's ($8,500, 17.0% of cap) luck could change today with a high-scoring offense at his back at home, where he has pitched very well since being traded this summer. He's the most expensive pitcher on FantasyScore today, but he's worth paying up for against the Texas Rangers.
Thu, 08 Oct 2015 09:17:07 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Tulo ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) has a lofty .407-1-4 line in 27 at-bats against Yovani Gallardo. However, he played just two games since Sept. 12 because of a shoulder injury. He's a risky play on FantasyScore in a light pool.

Toronto Blue Jays SP Marcus Stroman will start in Game 2 of the division series against the Texas Rangers Friday, Oct. 9. SPs Marco Estrada and R.A. Dickey will pitch in Games 3 and 4, and it's unknown who will start Game 3.
Fantasy Tip: It's a miraculous accomplishment for a pitcher that tore the ACL in his knee earlier this year. The risk surrounding Stroman ($7,800, 15.6% of cap) is clear, as he's made only four starts this season, although the results were very encouraging with five runs allowed and 18 strikeouts in 27 innings last month. He's also extremely fresh, making him a risk/reward selection in the divisional round.
Tue, 06 Oct 2015 09:59:20 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Price ($9,600, 19.2% of cap) will be facing a very solid Texas ballclub in a hitter's environment, but the fact that he is well rested should make FantasyScore gamers more comfortable paying up with him. Price also has the majors' highest-scoring offense behind him.
Sun, 04 Oct 2015 07:36:47 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Two innings would give Buehrle ($6,900, 13.2% of cap) his 15th consecutive 200-inning season, which is an incredible mark. Don't rule him off the playoff roster just yet until it is official, either. Still, he is an unadvised fantasy option Sunday, though. For his career, Buehrle stands with 214 wins and a 3.81 ERA.
Sat, 03 Oct 2015 20:24:35 -0700
Fantasy Tip: It is best to avoid Buehrle ($6,900, 13.8% of cap) at FantasyScore if he does start since he is unlikely to pitch deep into the game on such short rest. Hutchison ($3,600, 7.2% of cap) wouldn't be much better considering his struggles on the road this season.
