Toronto Blue Jays SP Marco Estrada earned his second victory of the season on Wednesday, May 25, against the New York Yankees. Estrada, who hadn't won since April 10, allowed four hits and three runs in seven innings.
Fantasy Tip: Well, that was overdue. In the seven starts he made between his first and second victories, Estrada worked fewer than six frames just once and yielded one earned run four times. With any kind of support Estrada could have five wins by now and is doing enough with strikeouts and ratios to remain viable even without the Ws.

Toronto Blue Jays 2B Devon Travis was in the starting lineup on Wednesday, May 25, marking the first time he played in the majors since July 28, 2015. He batted eighth and went 1-for-4 with a run scored.
Fantasy Tip: Travis opened eyes with his .304-8-35 line as a rookie and could find himself at the top of the order before too long. There's a lot of upside here, making Travis someone you should stash away before someone else does.

Toronto Blue Jays C Russell Martin hit a pair of home runs against the New York Yankees on Wednesday, May 25. They were Martin's first two home runs of the season after he hit 23 with the Jays in 2015.
Fantasy Tip: Martin inexplicably entered play on Wednesday with one extra-base hit in 122 at-bats before finding the cheap seats twice. Maybe this will get Martin going, as the veteran has long been a consistent source of power at the position -- 17.6 HRs, 63.4 RBI over his previous five campaigns. Keep an eye on him.

Updating a previous report, Toronto Blue Jays SS Troy Tulowitzki (quadriceps) felt better than expected Wednesday, May 25, after leaving the game early with a quadriceps injury Tuesday, May 24. The Blue Jays will be cautious with him, and Tulowitzki is considered day-to-day.
Fantasy Tip: Tulowitzki was just starting to turn it around at the dish with eight runs, three home runs, 10 RBI and a .313/.358/.604 slash line through his past 13 outings, so the injury comes at an unfortunate time. Expect Ryan Goins to take care of the 6 with Tulowitzki out, but it doesn't sound like Tulowitzki will miss much time, and Goins is a low-end fantasy option in all formats. Check back for updates.

Fantasy Tip: Travis returned a .304/.361/.498 slash line through 238 plate appearances last season, and setting the table for a potent offense stands to make him a strong option at the keystone going forward. Travis should be owned in all fantasy formats now that he is healthy and back with the big club.

Fantasy Tip: Travis figures to send Darwin Barney back to the bench, and he enters one of the most potent lineups in baseball. Travis hit .306 in nine rehab games, and there's no reason to wait to start him if you own him. He'll be a midrange option in DFS.

Toronto Blue Jays SP R.A. Dickey allowed four runs on five hits in 6 2/3 innings against the New York Yankees Tuesday, May 24, to suffer his sixth loss of the season. He struck out seven batters and walked two during the game.
Fantasy Tip: Dickey has seen his ERA drop one run from the start of the month but still has a 4.60 ERA after allowing nine runs in his last two starts. He is scheduled to pitch against the Boston Red Sox in his next start, which makes him a risky option for owners.

Toronto Blue Jays 2B Devon Travis (shoulder) has performed well during his rehab assignment, but there is no official timetable for his return. There is a chance that Travis could be activated from the 15-day disabled list in time for the game against the Boston Red Sox Friday, May 27. Manager John Gibbons said Travis will be a candidate for the leadoff spot when he returns.
Fantasy Tip: Travis has missed the entire 2016 season but may be able to return in the near future. Travis posted solid numbers in 2015 and should be a decent option in deeper fantasy leagues. Ryan Goins will continue to start at second base until Travis returns but is not a strong fantasy option.
Tue, 24 May 2016 17:48:31 -0700
Fantasy Tip: This comes at a bad time because Tulowitzki was just starting to string together a hot streak with eight runs, three home runs, 10 RBI and a .313/.358/.604 slash line through his latest 13 games. Stay tuned for updates.

Fantasy Tip: Thole has become the knuckleballer R.A. Dickey's personal catcher, so don't be alarmed that Martin is out today. Neither catcher has done much with the bat this year, though, so consider Thole one to avoid in all daily formats. He's batting .158 with six hits (one home run) in 38 at-bats.

Toronto Blue Jays 1B Justin Smoak is not in the starting lineup Tuesday, May 24. OF Jimmy Paredes is serving as the designated hitter and is batting sixth against New York Yankees SP Nathan Eovaldi. 1B Edwin Encarnacion is starting at first base and hitting third.
Fantasy Tip: Paredes has made a strong impression in his early days with the club and is hitting .400 (4-for-10) with a home run and two RBI. If he keeps it up, he could continue taking at-bats from Smoak. Paredes doesn't have much pop, though, and is mainly a depth piece in AL-only leagues.

Fantasy Tip: Donaldson's home run was his second in the last three games, although he isn't exactly out of the woods yet in regards to the hitting slump that has caused his average to drop from .292 at the beginning of May to .250. The reigning AL MVP could turn it on at any time and should be expected to do so. The Blue Jays have an off-day on Monday, but Donaldson on Tuesday will face New York Yankees right-hander Nathan Eovaldi, who has yielded two home runs in 10 career at-bats against him.

Fantasy Tip: It turned out to be the only hit in five at-bats for Bautista, who finished the four-game series 5-for-17 with three homers and six RBI - all out of the leadoff spot. The six-time All-Star is still sporting an unsightly .230 average as most of the entire Blue Jays' offense appears to be in a funk. Still, the power potential makes Bautista impossible to sit in any league and his resume suggests his batting average will pick up soon enough. Keep him active in all leagues.
Sun, 22 May 2016 10:46:03 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Barney has at least one hit in four of his last five games and should be an attractive starting candidate in daily fantasy leagues.
Sun, 22 May 2016 07:59:38 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Travis is 9-for-27 with seven RBI through the first seven games of his rehab assignment. The 25-year-old is worth stashing in most fantasy formats due to his power potential and his overall performance during his rookie campaign last year.
