Fantasy Tip: Martin ($3,600, 7.2% of cap) started slow but is hitting .311 (14-for-45) with three home runs and 10 RBI since April 19. A spot in the heart of Toronto's order makes him more attractive as a run producer at FantasyScore tonight.

Fantasy Tip: Saunders ($2,200, 4.4% of cap) will get three days off to bring his knee back up to speed, so do not put him in your lineup for Tuesday or Wednesday.

Fantasy Tip: Bautista ($5,800, 11.6% of cap) appears to be getting a simple off night, so remove him as an option. Encarnacion ($5,800, 11.6% of cap) carries a similar price tag and is a decent replacement for your FantasyScore lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Saunders ($2,200, 4.4% of cap) had his knee drained, and the Yankees are throwing righthander Michael Pineda, so that's a double reason for Saunders to be on the sidelines. Take him out of your lineup for Tuesday and keep an eye on his condition.

Fantasy Tip: Colabello got off to a red-hot start in 2014 with the Minnesota Twins and then dramatically cooled off to the point where he was demoted. He's starting this game, but his fantasy value is minimal at the moment.

Fantasy Tip: Travis has emerged as a reliable option at just $5,200 (or 10.4% of cap) in FantasyScore. Pretty good for a guy who had never been above the Double-A level before this season.

Toronto Blue Jays C Dioner Navarro (hamstring) is eligible to return from the 15-day disabled list during the team's current homestand, but it appears he will require more time for his hamstring strain to heal.
Fantasy Tip: Avoid Navarro ($2,100; 4.2% of cap) in FantasyScore until he can officially return and prove his health in a game or two. Even then, he will still be behind Russell Martin ($3,600; 7.2% of cap) on the depth chart.

Toronto Blue Jays SS Jose Reyes (rib) is expected to have an MRI Sunday, May 10, or Monday, May 11, to check the progress of his injured left rib. "If it has (improved) and he feels good, then we'll get him going," general manager Alex Anthopoulos said Monday, May 4.
Fantasy Tip: It is uncertain if Reyes will require a minor-league rehab assignment or not. FantasyScore owners have a while to wait until Reyes can return. Ryan Goins ($2,400; 4.8% of cap) continues to fill in at short, while 2B Devon Travis ($5,200; 10.4% of cap) is atop the lineup in Reyes' normal leadoff spot.

Toronto Blue Jays OF Jose Bautista (shoulder) remains limited to designated hitter duties, and the team isn't expected to have him back in the field for at least another week. He has yet to resume throwing due to his sore right shoulder. "He's still quite sore. We're going to re-evaluated it here at the end of the (New York Yankees) series," general manager Alex Anthopoulos said Monday, May 4.
Fantasy Tip: Joey Bats ($5,800; 11.6% of cap) has been fighting through injury since April 21. With Bautista hogging up DH it is costing 1B Justin Smoak ($2,200; 4.4% of cap) at-bats, as Edwin Encarnacion ($5,800; 11.6% of cap) remains the primary first baseman.
Mon, 04 May 2015 21:17:14 -0700
Toronto Blue Jays 1B Justin Smoak has had limited at-bats in recent games, not due to poor performance but because OF Jose Bautista (shoulder) is limited to designated hitter duties and 1B Edwin Encarnacion is the primary first baseman.
Fantasy Tip: Smoak ($2,200; 4.4% of cap) should be avoided in FantasyScore until Bautista is finally able to throw and move back out into the field opening up ABs for the former Mariner.

Toronto Blue Jays OF Michael Saunders (knee) is having fluid in his knee drained Monday, May 4, and is not in the starting lineup, according to general manager Alex Anthopoulos. Saunders will be available off the bench, though. OF Ezequiel Carrera is starting in right field and hitting ninth in the batting order against New York Yankees SP Chase Whitley.
Fantasy Tip: Carrera is a weak FantasyScore play tonight against the Yankees, especially while hitting at the bottom of the lineup.
Mon, 04 May 2015 13:35:16 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Thole ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) has become Dickey's personal catcher at this point, so this is no surprise. Consider Thole a low-end catching commodity at FantasyScore tonight.
Mon, 04 May 2015 13:22:46 -0700
Toronto Blue Jays OF Jose Bautista (shoulder) won't resume throwing until later this week, according to general manager Alex Anthopoulos. Bautista isn't expected to return to outfield duties until next week, at the earliest.
Fantasy Tip: With Bautista ($5,800, 11.6% of cap) mainly serving as the designated hitter while his shoulder recovers, Justin Smoak ($2,700, 5.4% of cap). Smoak last started a game April 26. Continue to avoid him at FantasyScore. Bautista remains in consideration for a daily lineup spot each and every night.

Toronto Blue Jays RP Miguel Castro, who opened the year as the team's closer, was optioned to Triple-A Buffalo Sunday, May 3. Castro leads the club with four saves, but he gave up two runs in 1 1/3 innings Sunday and has a 10.13 ERA with two losses and two blown saves in his last seven outings.
Fantasy Tip: Castro struggled after initially being handed the closer's role, and he'll likely work on his mechanics in the minors. With him out of the picture, Aaron Loup figures to move up to the eighth-inning setup role for closer Brett Cecil. Roberto Osuna is another reliever that could pitch in high-leverage situations late in games. Cecil is the man right now and should be owned everywhere, but this closing situation is far from stable.

Fantasy Tip: Pompey earned the starting job but promptly hit .183 with 22 strikeouts in 83 at-bats. Remove him from your options immediately in daily leagues and stash him on your bench in deeper yearly leagues. As for an immediate replacement in Toronto, look at Kevin Pillar ($2,200, 4.4% of cap), who has had some great defensive plays in the outfield.
