Fantasy Tip: Bautista ($5,500, 11.0% of cap) was hitless over his previous 29 plate appearances entering the game, so it was a nice slump-busting afternoon for the slugger. Look for him to parlay the success into a nice hot streak and continue to view him as a solid outfield option in all fantasy formats.

Fantasy Tip: Donaldson ($6,000, 12.0% of cap) had a .200/.278/.308 slash line over his past 16 games with a single home run and four RBI, so the big stat line is a nice bounce back for seasonal owners. In favorable matchups, and especially against southpaws, Donaldson is an excellent FantasyScore target.

Fantasy Tip: Entering the game Wednesday, Reyes ($4,500, 9.0% of cap) had 19 runs, nine doubles, four home runs, 20 RBI, seven stolen bases and a .275/.318/.423 slash line over his 33 games since returning from the disabled list Modnay, May 25. He is second-tier shortstop option in the majority of formats and worth targeting at FantasyScore when the Blue Jays land in a favorable matchup.

Fantasy Tip: Smoak ($3,500, 7.0% of cap) has been playing sparingly of late, and before Wednesday, he had just four starts and 21 plate appearances dating back to Saturday, June 13. His playing time limits his seasonal value, but he is a worthwhile FantasyScore option when in the lineup, especially with the Blue Jays pacing the league in runs.

Fantasy Tip: Encarnacion ($5,400, 10.8% of cap) is also up to 50 RBI for the season, so returning another monster year in the home run and RBI columns looks likely for 2015. Still, he is sporting a .240/.322/.476 slash line and fantasy owners wouldn't mind some improvements there, especially in the batting average. FantasyScore players can start Encarnacion with confidence in favorable pitching matchups.
Wed, 01 Jul 2015 10:32:42 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Sanchez ($4,600, 9.2% of cap) appears that he could be headed for a relief role when he's ready to come off the DL. That would kill any fantasy value he has remaining. In deep mixed and AL-only leagues, continue holding him until it's more clear what Toronto plans to do with him.
Wed, 01 Jul 2015 09:29:19 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Bautista ($5,500, 11.0% of cap) has seen his average drop to .236 (57-for-242) as a result, but he still has 15 home runs and 50 RBI on the season. The power is still there, but it looks like we're starting to see a decline in his skills at age 34. Until he starts to show some signs of life in his bat, you should consider avoiding him on FantasyScore.
Wed, 01 Jul 2015 09:25:03 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Smoak ($3,500, 7.0% of cap) has become somewhat of a forgotten man for the Blue Jays, and he had just 10 hits in 47 at-bats (.213) in the month of June with two home runs and nine RBI. However, he does have four of his five homers on the year against right-handers and has gone deep once in 11 career at-bats off Porcello. Smoak is a low-end sleeper pick if you're looking to stand out from your competitors.
Wed, 01 Jul 2015 07:46:56 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Carrera ($2,200, 4.4% of cap) has a solid .294 average, but he has just six extra-base hits. There's not a lot of substance there to use on FantasyScore.
Wed, 01 Jul 2015 07:46:31 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Goins ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) has an average matchup against Rick Porcello, but his .220-2-23 doesn't move the FantasyScore meter.
Tue, 30 Jun 2015 20:15:55 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Estrada ($6,300; or 12.6% of cap) had carried a no-hitter into the eighth inning in each of his past two outings, but this was a terrible outing for FantasyScore players.

Toronto Blue Jays SP Aaron Sanchez (back) might return to the bullpen when he is healthy enough to come off the 15-day disabled list, manager John Gibbons said Tuesday, June 30. Sanchez posted a 1.09 ERA in 24 relief appearances in 2014.
Fantasy Tip: Sanchez would only have FantasyScore appeal if he returns to the rotation, so monitor the situation closely.
Tue, 30 Jun 2015 12:46:34 -0700
Toronto Blue Jays C Russell Martin is not in the starting lineup Tuesday, June 30, against the Boston Red Sox. C Dioner Navarro is batting seventh. In addition, 3B Josh Donaldson is at designated hitter and 3B Danny Valencia is at third base.
Fantasy Tip: The lineup switches are in part because Martin ($5,100, 10.2% of cap) gets a night off after playing the entire week at catcher. Navarro ($2,500, 5.0% of cap) is 3-for-15 in the last seven days and isn't really worth picking up at the moment. Valencia ($2,600, 5.2% of cap) has lost a significant chunk of playing time and has little fantasy value.
Mon, 29 Jun 2015 20:13:17 -0700
Toronto Blue Jays SP Marco Estrada is scheduled to pitch Tuesday, June 30, against the Boston Red Sox. He has taken a no-hitter into the eighth inning in each of his past two starts, and won each of his past four decisions while staying unbeaten since May 22.
Fantasy Tip: Estrada ($6,300; or 12.6% of cap) has emerged as a must-start FantasyScore option thanks to his amazing run lately, perhaps the best of his career.
Mon, 29 Jun 2015 20:12:34 -0700
Fantasy Tip: It's unclear if Sanchez ($4,600; or 9.2% of cap) will return to the rotation or a middle relief role, so avoid him in FantasyScore until his role becomes clear and he can prove his health in an appearance or two without any setbacks.
