Fantasy Tip: The Blue Jays could still use a fourth or fifth starter, and they've been linked to names such as Andrew Cashner of the San Diego Padres and Jonathan Niese of the New York Mets.

Fantasy Tip: Travis ($4,900, 9.8% of cap) could wind up back on the DL for this shoulder problem. Make plans to be without him in a worst-case scenario, but keep him stashed in all formats. Ryan Goins isn't much of a fantasy replacement, aside from the deepest of AL-only leagues if you need middle infield help.

Fantasy Tip: Travis may need to go back on the disabled list after reinjuring the same shoulder that cost him a DL stint earlier this year. He deserves to be held onto in all leagues. Goins ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) is a light-hitting utility infielder with no offensive upside, making him a pick to avoid in daily games.
Thu, 30 Jul 2015 14:08:58 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Navarro ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) isn't very strong against left-handed pitchers this season, going 4-for-19 (.211) with none of his two home runs, so he's not the strongest of catching options to choose from tonight on FantasyScore.

Toronto Blue Jays 1B Edwin Encarnacion (finger) remains out of the lineup Thursday, July 30. OF Chris Colabello is starting at first base again and is hitting cleanup against Kansas City Royals SP Danny Duffy.
Fantasy Tip: Colabello ($4,000, 8.0% of cap) has tailed off a bit at the plate of late, but he's still hitting .310 (18-for-58) with four of his nine home runs against southpaws this season. He's not a terrible choice as a value pick on FantasyScore tonight.

Detroit Tigers SP David Price is involved in a deal the Toronto Blue Jays have agreed to. SP Daniel Norris is part of the package headed to Detroit. The deal has been agreed upon, but it's unknown where the stage of the medicals are.
Fantasy Tip: Price ($9,100, 18.2% of cap) may take a small hit with the move to the hitter's park in Toronto. However, he remains a surefire SP1 on FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: A move north of the border would be a move back to the American League East for Price. He is a tremendous pitcher, but playing with that kind of offensive support would be huge for FantasyScore purposes.

Toronto Blue Jays SP R.A. Dickey picked up the win Wednesday, July 29, against the Philadelphia Phillies. Dickey pitched eight full innings, giving up seven hits and two unearned runs, while striking out four.
Fantasy Tip: Dickey ($5,000, 10.0% of cap) has gone at least six innings in four consecutive starts, while allowing two runs or fewer in each. Dickey's low strikeout rates keep his ceiling low, but he's been a safe FantasyScore option of late.

Fantasy Tip: Tulo ($5,400, 10.8% of cap) hit a home run in his second at-bat of the game, and he finished 3-for-5 with two doubles, three runs scored and three RBI. With Devon Travis expected to go on the disabled list, Tulo can be expected to stick at the top of the Jays' lineup.

Toronto Blue Jays 2B Devon Travis (shoulder) could be headed back to the disabled list, although an MRI exam showed no significant damage in his strained left shoulder Wednesday, July 29. The Blue Jays won't make a move with him until Thursday, July 30. "It's similar to the last time, a strain in that area," said manager John Gibbons. "He'll take it easy and get all his treatment and then we'll probably have a little better idea (Thursday)." 2B Ryan Goins is expected to continue filling in at second base with Travis out.
Fantasy Tip: It's a shame for Travis ($4,900, 9.8% of cap) owners, since he homered in his first game back in the leadoff spot after the trade of Jose Reyes. Stash Travis in all leagues. Goins ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) is a weak second base option at FantasyScore and should only be picked up in the short term in AL-only leagues if you are desperate for help in the middle infield.

Toronto Blue Jays 1B Edwin Encarnacion (finger) was scratched from the lineup with a jammed left middle finger Wednesday, July 29, but precautionary X-rays came back negative. OF Chris Colabello is replacing Encarnacion in the lineup.
Fantasy Tip: Encarnacion may need to sit out a few days, so check to make sure he's in the lineup the next few games before putting him into your lineups. Colabello ($4,000, 8.0% of cap) has cooled off a bit lately, but he's still hitting .313 (71-for-227) on the season and could be a nice under-the-radar play against the struggling Rick Porcello.
Wed, 29 Jul 2015 14:15:12 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Williams is a very hittable pitcher that Toronto should have success against tonight, including Valencia ($2,900, 5.8% of cap). Valencia probably won't be on many people's radar, but he could be a nice value pick and a great source of salary cap relief.

Toronto Blue Jays 2B Devon Travis (shoulder) is not in the starting lineup against Philadelphia Phillies SP Jerome Williams Wednesday, July 29. 2B Ryan Goins will start at second base and is batting ninth in the lineup.
Fantasy Tip: Owners will need to keep an eye out on Travis' ($4,900, 9.8% of cap) status to see when he will be able to play again. Goins ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) has received limited playing time this month and is not a great option for owners on FantasyScore.
Wed, 29 Jul 2015 13:46:50 -0700
Toronto Blue Jays OF Jose Bautista (hamstring) will serve as the designated hitter against Philadelphia Phillies SP Jerome Williams Wednesday, July 29, and is batting third in the lineup. OF Ezequiel Carrera will start in right field and is batting seventh in the lineup.
Fantasy Tip: Bautista ($6,000, 12.0% of cap) is dealing with a hamstring injury, so he will be not be in the field for the game. He is a risky option on FantasyScore because of the injury but could still be a starting option. Carrera ($2,600, 5.2% of cap) is hitting only .139 this month, so owners may want to look for better options to use.
Wed, 29 Jul 2015 13:30:08 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Tulowitzki ($5,400, 10.8% of cap) will be playing his first game since being acquired by the Blue Jays. He is one of the better offensive shortstops in baseball and should be a solid option on FantasyScore.
