Fantasy Tip: A move north of the border would be a move back to the American League East for Price. He is a tremendous pitcher, but playing with that kind of offensive support would be huge for FantasyScore purposes.

Toronto Blue Jays SP R.A. Dickey picked up the win Wednesday, July 29, against the Philadelphia Phillies. Dickey pitched eight full innings, giving up seven hits and two unearned runs, while striking out four.
Fantasy Tip: Dickey ($5,000, 10.0% of cap) has gone at least six innings in four consecutive starts, while allowing two runs or fewer in each. Dickey's low strikeout rates keep his ceiling low, but he's been a safe FantasyScore option of late.

Fantasy Tip: Tulo ($5,400, 10.8% of cap) hit a home run in his second at-bat of the game, and he finished 3-for-5 with two doubles, three runs scored and three RBI. With Devon Travis expected to go on the disabled list, Tulo can be expected to stick at the top of the Jays' lineup.

Toronto Blue Jays 2B Devon Travis (shoulder) could be headed back to the disabled list, although an MRI exam showed no significant damage in his strained left shoulder Wednesday, July 29. The Blue Jays won't make a move with him until Thursday, July 30. "It's similar to the last time, a strain in that area," said manager John Gibbons. "He'll take it easy and get all his treatment and then we'll probably have a little better idea (Thursday)." 2B Ryan Goins is expected to continue filling in at second base with Travis out.
Fantasy Tip: It's a shame for Travis ($4,900, 9.8% of cap) owners, since he homered in his first game back in the leadoff spot after the trade of Jose Reyes. Stash Travis in all leagues. Goins ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) is a weak second base option at FantasyScore and should only be picked up in the short term in AL-only leagues if you are desperate for help in the middle infield.

Toronto Blue Jays 1B Edwin Encarnacion (finger) was scratched from the lineup with a jammed left middle finger Wednesday, July 29, but precautionary X-rays came back negative. OF Chris Colabello is replacing Encarnacion in the lineup.
Fantasy Tip: Encarnacion may need to sit out a few days, so check to make sure he's in the lineup the next few games before putting him into your lineups. Colabello ($4,000, 8.0% of cap) has cooled off a bit lately, but he's still hitting .313 (71-for-227) on the season and could be a nice under-the-radar play against the struggling Rick Porcello.

Fantasy Tip: Williams is a very hittable pitcher that Toronto should have success against tonight, including Valencia ($2,900, 5.8% of cap). Valencia probably won't be on many people's radar, but he could be a nice value pick and a great source of salary cap relief.

Toronto Blue Jays 2B Devon Travis (shoulder) is not in the starting lineup against Philadelphia Phillies SP Jerome Williams Wednesday, July 29. 2B Ryan Goins will start at second base and is batting ninth in the lineup.
Fantasy Tip: Owners will need to keep an eye out on Travis' ($4,900, 9.8% of cap) status to see when he will be able to play again. Goins ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) has received limited playing time this month and is not a great option for owners on FantasyScore.

Toronto Blue Jays OF Jose Bautista (hamstring) will serve as the designated hitter against Philadelphia Phillies SP Jerome Williams Wednesday, July 29, and is batting third in the lineup. OF Ezequiel Carrera will start in right field and is batting seventh in the lineup.
Fantasy Tip: Bautista ($6,000, 12.0% of cap) is dealing with a hamstring injury, so he will be not be in the field for the game. He is a risky option on FantasyScore because of the injury but could still be a starting option. Carrera ($2,600, 5.2% of cap) is hitting only .139 this month, so owners may want to look for better options to use.
Wed, 29 Jul 2015 13:30:08 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Tulowitzki ($5,400, 10.8% of cap) will be playing his first game since being acquired by the Blue Jays. He is one of the better offensive shortstops in baseball and should be a solid option on FantasyScore.
Wed, 29 Jul 2015 11:33:54 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Doubront ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) can safely be dropped in AL-only leagues. The Blue Jays will need another starter this weekend to replace Doubront in the rotation. Perhaps that arm will come in the form of a trade. Stay tuned.

Texas Rangers SP Yovani Gallardo, Cincinnati Reds SP Mike Leake, San Diego Padres SPs Andrew Cashner and Tyson Ross, Milwaukee Brewers SP Mike Fiers, Miami Marlins SP Dan Haren and Detroit Tigers SP David Price are all on the radar of the Toronto Blue Jays as the trade deadline approaches.
Fantasy Tip: All of these names would be significant upgrades to the Blue Jays' current staff. However, for some, a move to hitter-friendly Toronto would be a downgrade to their fantasy value.
Tue, 28 Jul 2015 20:10:55 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Dickey ($5,000, 10.0% of cap) is 3-3 with a 3.95 ERA in 10 outings at home with a .198 opponent batting average, and 1-7 with a 5.14 ERA in 10 outings on the road with a .298 opponent batting average. Needless to say, he should only be used in FantasyScore when pitching at Rogers Centre.
Tue, 28 Jul 2015 20:10:05 -0700
Fantasy Tip: It's unlikely Martin ($4,600, 9.2% of cap) will qualify at second base for those in seasonal fantasy leagues or in FantasyScore, but those in leagues with lax eligibility requirements could find him eligible at 2B/MI to give him extra value.
Tue, 28 Jul 2015 18:07:25 -0700
Toronto Blue Jays OF Jose Bautista (hamstring) left the game Tuesday, July 28, against the Philadelphia Phillies due to an apparent right hamstring injury. He was running out a grounder and grabbed at the back of his leg.
Fantasy Tip: Bautista ($6,000, 12.0% of cap) could be headed to the 15-day disabled list if it is serious, but we'll know more when he is re-evaluated. The team also lost Devon Travis earlier in the game, which is likely not what they had in mind when they bolstered their lineup by adding Troy Tulowitzki Monday.
Tue, 28 Jul 2015 17:07:11 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Travis ($4,900, 9.8% of cap) has been fantastic for FantasyScore players when healthy, but he has had some trouble staying healthy for long periods of time. Avoid him until he can officially return and prove his health in two full games without any lingering effects of his injury.
