Fantasy Tip: Pillar ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) doubled his home run total, and he did it against ace Max Scherzer. So while it is an impressive feat, it was a blip on the radar more than a sign of things to come. Still, Pillar is attached to the league's highest scoring offense, and he is receiving everyday at-bats, so he could begin scratching the surface of viability in deep mixed leagues. FantasyScore players should continue to view him as a low-priced flier.

Toronto Blue Jays SP R.A. Dickey gave up eight hits, one walk, two earned runs and struck out six hitters in six full innings Tuesday, June 2, in Game 1 of the doubleheader against the Washington Nationals.
Fantasy Tip: Dickey ($4,000, 8.0% of cap) had allowed at least four earned runs in his four previous outings, so he was finally able to contain the base runners he allowed. It was only the fourth time this year Dickey struck out at least six hitters, and he should continue to be avoided on FantasyScore due to the minimal upside and high risk.

Toronto Blue Jays OF Jose Bautista is 9-for-17 with a home run and three walks in his career against Washington Nationals SP Max Scherzer. Bautista faces Scherzer in the second game of a doubleheader Tuesday, June 2.
Fantasy Tip: Bautista ($5,500, 11.0% of cap) qualifies as a contrarian play tonight on FantasyScore while facing Scherzer, who has been downright dominant this year with his new team. If you're willing to stick your neck out on the line, you could be handsomely rewarded.

Fantasy Tip: That explains why he hasn't played in either game of the doubleheader today. Check back for more details on his injury. That also may explain why Encarnacion ($5,500, 11.0% of cap) is hitting just .216 this season. Stay away from him on FantasyScore for the time being and until he strings together some more hits.

Toronto Blue Jays 2B Munenori Kawasaki is starting at second base and hitting seventh in the batting order against Washington Nationals SP Max Scherzer in Game 2 of the doubleheader Tuesday, June 2. 2B Ryan Goins will start on the bench.
Fantasy Tip: Kawasaki ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) is about as weak as an offensive weapon as you could choose from on FantasyScore. Avoid him at all costs.

Toronto Blue Jays 1B Edwin Encarnacion is out of the lineup for the second game of the doubleheader Tuesday, June 2. OF Chris Colabello is starting at first base and hitting fifth in the batting order against Washington Nationals SP Max Scherzer. OF Danny Valencia also enters the lineup in the sixth spot while playing left field.
Fantasy Tip: It's unclear if Encarnacion ($5,500, 11.0% of cap) is dealing with an injury, but he is sitting out both games of the doubleheader today. Stay tuned for more updates. It's worth watching, especially since he's hitting a disappointing .216 (41-for-190) this season. Colabello ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) and Valencia ($1,900, 3.8% of cap) should both be avoided on FantasyScore against the overpowering Scherzer.

Toronto Blue Jays C Dioner Navarro (hamstring) will be activated from the disabled list in time for Game 2 of the team's doubleheader Tuesday, June 2. He's been out since April 22 with a strained hamstring. C Josh Thole is expected to be sent down to the minors as a result. Navarro will see action as the team's designated hitter and as a pinch hitter.
Fantasy Tip: Navarro ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) won't be an outstanding choice on FantasyScore immediately after his activation, but he should be seen as a sleeper play when he faces certain right-handed pitchers. In Game 2 against Nats starter Max Scherzer, if he's in the lineup, Navarro should be avoided.
Tue, 02 Jun 2015 08:21:15 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Thole ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) has no FantasyScore appeal.
Tue, 02 Jun 2015 08:19:20 -0700
Fantasy Tip: E5 was slated to sit in the NL park yesterday as well before rain postponed the game. Smoak ($2,200, 4.4% of cap) has minimal FantasyScore appeal.

Toronto Blue Jays OF Jose Bautista (shoulder) is in right field for Game 1 of a doubleheader Tuesday, June 2. It will be his first game in right field since a shoulder injury limited him to DH in May.
Fantasy Tip: It's a great sign for Joey Bats, who was slated to return yesterday before rain foiled the game. At $5,500 (11.0% of cap), he's a daily consideration on FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: Navarro ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) played just eight games before suffering the injury, and his playing time upon his return is up in the air. Seasonal owners in deep mixed, two-catcher and AL-only formats could take a speculative leap of faith, but Navarro's likely most viable in FantasyScore contests going forward. When in the lineup, he'll be a great catcher option, especially at his minimal cap hit and batting in the middle of the league's highest-scoring lineup.
Mon, 01 Jun 2015 13:13:23 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Pillar ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) is stuck in a 9-for-61 slide with just nine runs, a home run, two RBI and a .425 OPS. Full-time at-bats weren't in the plans for Pillar for a reason, but injuries have forced him into action. Thankfully for fantasy players, you can look elsewhere, and you should in all formats, especially at FantasyScore.
Mon, 01 Jun 2015 13:05:41 -0700
Fantasy Tip: This will be Bautista's ($5,500, 11.0% of cap) first start in the outfield since Tuesday, April 21, as his throwing shoulder has been a hindrance defensively. He has improved at the dish since, though, and over the past 31 games, Bautista has 18 runs, three home runs, 20 RBI and a .916 OPS. While the homer total is a little low, the other counting stats and his .284 batting average are solid. Unlike past seasons, FantasyScore players cannot start Bautista with confidence nightly at his cap hit, and it isn't out of question to fade him outside of cherry-pick matchups.
Mon, 01 Jun 2015 12:59:09 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Martin ($5,100, 10.2% of cap) has caught fire over the past 25 games with 15 runs, four home runs, 11 RBI and a .340/.376/.564 slash line. His rising value is built into his FantasyScore cap hit, though, so be wary of when you insert him into your lineups. Thole ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) should be viewed as nothing more than a desperation source of cap relief.
Mon, 01 Jun 2015 12:53:56 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Make sure to avoid Encarnacion ($5,500, 11.0% of cap) in all fantasy formats Monday. Smoak ($2,200, 4.4% of cap) has been used primarily in a pinch-hit role this season, but it is worth noting he has an active 7-for-13 run with two runs, a home run and five RBI with a 1.341 OPS. Still, it is a small sample size and Smoak is nothing more than a low-priced flier in FantasyScore contests.
