Fantasy Tip: With Edwin Encarnacion at DH and riding a 26-game hitting streak, the team does not want him out of the lineup. This means Navarro ($2,600, 5.2% of cap) can't DH and has to catch when he's in the game, so Martin ($4,400, 8.8% of cap) has to sit. Navarro has little FantasyScore value for now as he is hitting .200 in the past week.

Toronto Blue Jays 3B Josh Donaldson went 1-for-4 with a triple and a pair of RBIs Monday, Aug. 31, against the Cleveland Indians. He and 1B Edwin Encarnacion became the first set of teammates to post at least 35 RBI in a month since Bobby Doerr and Ted Williams with the 1950 Boston Red Sox.
Fantasy Tip: Donaldson ($6,400, 12.8% of cap) has emerged as a must-start FantasyScore option this season.

Toronto Blue Jays 1B Edwin Encarnacion finished 2-for-4 Monday, Aug. 31, against the Cleveland Indians, extending his hitting streak to 26 games. That's the longest streak in the majors this season. He had two streaks stopped at eight games: having at least one extra base hit and one RBI in each.
Fantasy Tip: Encarnacion ($6,300, 12.6% of cap) is hitting .412 (40-for-97) with 11 homers, 35 RBIs and 24 runs scored during his impressive run. Keep rolling with him in FantasyScore until he cools off significantly.

Toronto Blue Jays 1B Justin Smoak is not in the starting lineup against Cleveland Indians SP Danny Salazar Monday, Aug. 31. OF Chris Colabello will start at first base and is batting sixth in the lineup.
Fantasy Tip: Smoak ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) likely will return to the lineup in the next game or two. Colabello ($4,700, 9.4% of cap) is hitting .415 with four home runs and 10 RBI this month and could be a solid starting option on FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: Martin ($4,200, 8.4% of cap) has homered in back-to-back games, and after going through a slump while dealing with a hamstring injury, it appears he is back on track. Thanks to Toronto's powerful lineup, Martin has as much upside as any catcher available at FantasyScore when he is swinging a hot bat.

Toronto Blue Jays 1B Edwin Encarnacion went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in a 9-2 win over the Detroit Tigers Sunday, Aug. 30, and his 35 RBI this month are the most by one player in any month in franchise history.
Fantasy Tip: Encarnacion ($6,200, 12.4% of cap) now has eight homers in his last 10 games, and he has at least one RBI in nine games during the same stretch. He is a must-start at FantasyScore until his hot streak comes to an end.

Fantasy Tip: There isn't a significant shift in value for Tulowitzki ($5,300, 10.6% of cap), except now he projects to have more RBI opportunities and potentially fewer chances to score runs. Revere ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) is the big winner, as he'll grab an extra at-bat most games. If it is a permanent switch, Revere's value takes a huge step forward. Both batters are in play at FantasyScore Sunday.

Fantasy Tip: It was the first home run for Martin ($4,200, 8.4% of cap) since July 30, and he had managed just three RBI during the drought. The homer could be a sign that his hamstring injury is behind him, but you may want to wait until he has a few more good games before using him at FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: In addition to his hitting streak, Encarnacion ($6,200, 12.4% of cap) has driven in at least one run in six straight games and has 14 RBI during the same stretch. Pay up for the slugger at FantasyScore while he is surging.

Toronto Blue Jays SP Marcus Stroman (knee) could step into the starting rotation after he is finished with his minor league rehab assignment, according to manager John Gibbons. "The way it's going now, he might come up and start for us," he said.
Fantasy Tip: Stroman threw a simulated game Friday, Aug. 28, and is scheduled to make a rehab start for Class A Lansing Wednesday, Sept. 2. He has not pitched at all this year after suffering a torn ACL in his left knee during spring training. Owners in AL-only and deep mixed leagues will want to monitor Stroman's progress but should temper their expectations due to the severity of the injury he is recovering from.

Toronto Blue Jays SP Marcus Stroman (knee) said he "crushed it" during his 51-pitch sim game Friday, Aug. 28. He is expected to throw approximately 65 to 70 pitches for low-A Lansing Wednesday, Sept. 2.
Fantasy Tip: Stroman is determined to work his way back into the Toronto rotation, but fantasy owners should be cautious pinning their hopes to the youngster. There is a chance he makes a start or two in the final weeks of the season, but he may also pitch out of the bullpen. The Blue Jays will be cautious with the youngster, and it remains a situation to monitor.

Fantasy Tip: Despite the loss, Estrada ($7,000, 14.0% of cap) pitched well overall during the month of August, going 3-2 with a 2.06 ERA in five starts. He is scheduled to make his next start against the Cleveland Indians Tuesday, Sept. 1.

Toronto Blue Jays 1B Edwin Encarnacion went 1-for-4 with an RBI double against the Texas Rangers Thursday, Aug. 27, to extend his hitting streak to 22 games. It is the longest streak in the majors this season.
Fantasy Tip: During his streak, Encarnacion ($6,200, 12.4% of cap) has collected seven multi-hit games and his average has gone up 30 points, from .234 to .264. He should continue to be penciled into FantasyScore lineups for the foreseeable future.

Fantasy Tip: Navarro ($2,600, 5.2% of cap) has a weak .221-3-17 line on the season and isn't a FantasyScore option against Yovani Gallardo.
