The Toronto Blue Jays recalled INF Jonathan Diaz from Triple-A Buffalo Tuesday, April 28. Diaz is expected to work in a platoon with 2B Ryan Goins at shortstop while SS Jose Reyes (rib) is on the shelf.
Fantasy Tip: Diaz could work his way into a meaningful role for FantasyScore owners, but for now just take a wait-and-see attitude.

Fantasy Tip: Goins could be a cheap option for FantasyScore owners in the next week or two, helping to save salary to spread across other position. He doesn't have a lot of pop, but it also won't take much to earn his meager FantasyScore salary.

The Toronto Blue Jays placed SS Jose Reyes (rib) on the 15-day disabled list Monday, April 27, due to a cracked rib. The team will purchase the contract of INF Jonathan Diaz from Triple-A Buffalo Tuesday, April 28, in a corresponding move.
Fantasy Tip: With Reyes on the shelf the Jays are expected to use a platoon of Diaz and Ryan Goins at the shortstop position.

Fantasy Tip: Give Joey Bats one more game to knock off the rust before trusting him in FantasyScore again at $5,800 (or 11.6% of cap).

Fantasy Tip: Travis has six homers and 18 RBIs in 19 games this season, and he has five extra-base hits (two doubles, three homers) over his past six games. Overall he is hitting .368 which makes him a fabulous FantasyScore value at just $2,800 (5.6% of cap).

Fantasy Tip: Miguel Castro has been shaky lately, so perhaps if Cecil can long a few saves and solid appearances he will emerge as a decent fantasy option for AL-only owners.

Fantasy Tip: Smoak ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) may see more bench time this week as Bautista works his way back into the lineup following a shoulder injury. Despite bad weather, Joey Bats ($5,800, 11.6% of cap) is a fine FantasyScore investment this evening. His shoulder injury affects his throwing, mainly.

Fantasy Tip: Bautista ($5,800, 11.6% of cap) should be a fine option for FantasyScore users against Boston Red Sox starter Joe Kelly tonight, even though he's not back to full health just yet. Bautista is a .299 career hitter with 20 home runs, 27 walks and a 1.054 OPS at Fenway Park in 47 games.

Toronto Blue Jays SS Jose Reyes (rib, side) is unable to hit left-handed because he is dealing with a cracked rib and muscle strain in the same area. Reyes hopes to be able to return to switch hitting, and specially batting left-handed against right-handed pitchers, by the time Toronto returns home from their road trip May 4.
Fantasy Tip: Reyes ($5,300, 10.6% of cap) has just two hits over 16 plate appearances batting right-handed against right-handed pitchers this season. So his inability to swing left-handed is clearly something fantasy players need to be cognizant of. He makes an extremely risky play in FantasyScore contests against righties at this point.

Fantasy Tip: Bautista ($5,800, 11.6% of cap) has missed the last four games because of the injury but may be able to return in a few games. Bautista should be an option on FantasyScore once he returns to the lineup.
Sun, 26 Apr 2015 07:26:06 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Martin ($3,600, 7.2% of cap) has a three-game hit-streak going with a run scored and an RBI in each of his last two games. Martin hit his third home run of the season Saturday, and he'll be a decent option with the opportunity for an extra at-bat while at the top of the order.
Sun, 26 Apr 2015 07:24:59 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Travis ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) remains a strong value play on FantasyScore and is a near must-start. Travis extended his hit-streak to 11 games Saturday and he will be a strong option again, even against Rays righty Chris Archer.

Fantasy Tip: Just 20, there were bound to peeks and valleys for Castro. He is extremely raw and the learning curve could be steep. Still, his electric arm and pitch arsenal can overwhelm hitters, and unless he is removed form the closer role, he should be owned in all formats.
Sat, 25 Apr 2015 15:13:57 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Travis ($2,800, 5.6% of your cap) has been a monster with a .386-5-16 line during the first couple of weeks of the season. At this price, he's a must-start on FantasyScore.

Updating previous reports, Toronto Blue Jays OF Jose Bautista (shoulder) is out again Friday, April 24, but he's hoping to return to the lineup as the designated hitter sometime this weekend. The hope is that he'll be back in right field around the middle of next week. Manager John Gibbons said Bautista would take some swings Friday in the cages.
Fantasy Tip: Bautista's ($5,800, 11.6% of cap) shoulder injury isn't believed to be serious, and he should avoid a DL trip. Once he's back in Toronto's starting lineup, he should be a viable FantasyScore weapon in daily games.
