Toronto Blue Jays 3B Josh Donaldson hit his first two home runs of the season against the Atlanta Braves Friday, April 17, and he is 8-for-17 with five runs scored and six RBIs over his last four games.
Fantasy Tip: Donaldson ($5,700, 11.4% of cap) has raised his average from .192 to .302 during the stretch, and after a slow start, Donaldson is thriving with his new team. Stick with Donaldson's hot bat at FantasyScore until he gives you reason to look elsewhere.

Fantasy Tip: Travis ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) moved to the top of the lineup with Jose Reyes (rib) out, and he continued his hot start. With Reyes expected to miss a couple more games, Travis should continue make a strong option at FantasyScore.

Toronto Blue Jays OF Michael Saunders (knee, hamstring) will rest again Friday, April 17, and then serve as the designated hitter for Single-A Dunedin Saturday, April 18. He will not rejoin the Blue Jays on their current home stand.
Fantasy Tip: Saunders ($2,200, 4.4% of cap) could return to the Blue Jays late next week if everything goes according to plan. When he's back, he could be in a platoon situation with Kevin Pillar in left field. Saunders will be a FantasyScore option mainly against right-handed pitchers.

Toronto Blue Jays SS Jose Reyes (rib), who is dealing with a small crack at the end of his rib on his left side, will see how he's feeling Tuesday, April 21, before the team decides if he needs to go on the disabled list. Reyes also has a muscle strain in the same area as the cracked rib, and it's the more serious injury. He will sit out all weekend against the Atlanta Braves. Reyes said the doctors told him his cracked rib cannot get any worse. If he stays off the DL, manager John Gibbons said Reyes could only face left-handed pitching for a while, since his injury bothers him mainly when he bats left-handed.
Fantasy Tip: It seems like there's still a good chance that Reyes ($5,300, 10.6% of career) will land on the DL. Until next week, Ryan Goins is likely to start at shortstop. He's batting ninth in the order Friday night and is a weak FantasyScore option.

Fantasy Tip: With Reyes out this weekend at least and likely to head to the disabled list, Travis ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) should benefit by moving up to leadoff in his absence. The rookie second baseman is off to a fine start, too, hitting .371 (13-for-35) with two home runs and 10 RBI. He gains more FantasyScore intrigue in the short term atop Toronto's dangerous lineup.

Toronto Blue Jays SS Jose Reyes (rib) is unlikely to play at all this weekend against the Atlanta Braves due to a rib fracture. He'll be re-evaluated to determine if he needs a disabled list stint Friday, April 17, according to multiple reports. Reyes has been bothered by the injury for a few days, and it affects him most swinging from the left side. INF Steve Tolleson was already expected to start at shortstop Saturday, April 18.
Fantasy Tip: Reyes will likely need to go on the DL, so plan accordingly in standard leagues. Tolleson ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) and Ryan Goins could split time at the 6 with Reyes sidelined, but both are weak FantasyScore plays.

Fantasy Tip: The odds lean towards Reyes landing on the DL. Ryan Goins will likely see an increase in playing time, but he's not worthy of FantasyScore usage yet.

Fantasy Tip: Travis ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) is off to a strong start despite batting at the bottom of the order, hitting .343 with two home runs, seven runs scored and seven RBIs. If he is moved to the top of the lineup, he would become a must-start bargain option at FantasyScore.

Toronto Blue Jays SS Jose Reyes (rib) said the pain in his left side had been becoming worse over the past two days prior to exiting the game early Thursday, April 16, and he said he will take a few days off to see if the pain subsides.
Fantasy Tip: Reyes ($5,300, 10.6% of cap) is hoping some rest will take care of the issue, but for a player that derives some of his value from his speed, it is best to avoid Reyes at FantasyScore until he proves he is 100% healthy.
Thu, 16 Apr 2015 17:38:52 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Goins was called up by the Blue Jays Thursday and was forced into action sooner than the Jays would've hoped. Goins picked up a hit in his relief appearance, but is far better known for his defensive play. Goins hit just .188 in 193 major league plate appearances last season and should be left alone on FantasyScore as well as in season-long fantasy formats.

Fantasy Tip: Reyes' ($5,300, 10.6% of cap) could be dealing with the dreaded oblique injury, and for a slow healer like himself, that could definitely lead to a trip to the disabled list. Stay tuned. Ryan Goins replaced Reyes at shortstop Thursday, and he'd likely be the main replacement at the 6 if Reyes needs to miss significant time.

Toronto Blue Jays SS Jose Reyes will receive the day off Saturday, April 18, with the Atlanta Braves expected to start left-handed SP Alex Wood, according to manager John Gibbons. Gibbons noted INF Steven Tolleson will start at shortstop with Reyes resting.
Fantasy Tip: Make sure to remove Reyes from your fantasy lineups Saturday, if he does in fact take a seat. Tolleson ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) offers cap relief, but likely nothing else for FantasyScore owners. Aim higher than Tolleson in daily contests Saturday. Reyes is off to a nice start with three runs, five RBI, a stolen base and a .333/.359/.417 slash line.

Fantasy Tip: Saunders is down on the farm rehabbing a left knee injury, and now he has a hammy to deal with, too. It appears he is a ways off from helping FantasyScore owners at this point.
Wed, 15 Apr 2015 13:04:22 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Donaldson ($5,700, 11.4% of cap) has been batting fifth but moved up to the No. 2 spot since Russell Martin is not playing. He should be a solid starting option on FantasyScore since is off to a 7-for-30 start at the plate.
Wed, 15 Apr 2015 12:52:25 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Navarro ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) has picked up a hit in all four games he has played this season and has recorded four RBI in that span. Navarro could be a starting option for owners on FantasyScore.
