Falcons | Roddy White probable

Fri, 12 Sep 2014 11:13:01 -0700

Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 12, and is probable for Week 2.

Fantasy Tip: White looks like he is good to go in Week 2, and has a FantasyScore price of $5,900 (11.80% of cap). The Falcons may find it hard to score against the Bengals in Week 2, so there may be better options on the board for you, especially if White is not fully healthy.

Falcons | Roddy White: Goal 30 points per game

Fri, 12 Sep 2014 09:57:51 -0700

Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White said the team's goal coming into the year was to put up 30 points per game. Since 2004, 12 teams have averaged 30 or more points per game, and those teams combined for a record of 155-37. Only one of those teams, the 2004 Kansas City Chiefs, failed to make the playoffs. The Falcons' highest average with QB Matt Ryan was 26.2 in 2002, when they finished 13-3.

Fantasy Tip: The Falcons could find it hard to top 30 points against a nasty Cincinnati Bengals defense in Week 2, especially without tackle Jake Matthews. Temper your expectations a bit for Ryan and company after they put up points in bunches against the New Orleans Saints.

Falcons | Roddy White limited

Thu, 11 Sep 2014 12:54:04 -0700

Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White (knee) was limited during practice Thursday, Sept. 11.

Fantasy Tip: White has a decent chance to play Week 2, but owners should continue to monitor his practice participation. White should start in most leagues if he plays, but owners at FantasyScore could consider cheaper options at wide receiver, because White at $5,900 could be too steep because of the injury.

Wed, 10 Sep 2014 07:42:43 -0700

Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White (knee) left the Week 1 game due to an ailment with his left knee but returned to the game. White admitted that he had his knee drained during the offseason but said an MRI wasn't required. White played in 67 of the 72 offensive snaps in Week 1.

Fantasy Tip: The condition is worrisome, but White had five catches for 72 yards and a touchdown in the game despite the issue. White should continue to push through it. At $5,900 (11.8% of your cap) on FantasyScore for Week 2, he remains a decent WR2.
