Fantasy Tip: It could just be general soreness because he hasn't played a whole lot this season. Keep an eye on it, though, because he has proven quite brittle in recent years. When he's fit to return, he's a nice OF3 at $3,900 (7.8% of cap) on FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: Rua hasnít played since April 10. He struck out nine times in 17 at-bats, so FantasyScore players will want to see more consistency from him when he does return before risking even $2,000 (or 4.0% of cap).

Texas Rangers C Carlos Corporan drove in a career-high five runs Tuesday, June 2, against the Chicago White Sox. He did not even start the game, but he came on for the injured C Robinson Chirinos (thumb).
Fantasy Tip: Corporan ($1,800; or 3.6% of cap) might make the start Wednesday if Chirinos is not ready. He is a solid low-end option for FantasyScore players.

Fantasy Tip: After finishing May with 21 runs, six home runs, 18 RBI and a .295/.356/.533 slash line, Choo ($4,100, 8.2% of cap) already has put a stamp on June. His FantasyScore salary hasn't caught up to his prolonged hot stretch, and until it does, consider him an excellent value play.

Updating a previous report, Texas Rangers 3B Joey Gallo finished the game against the Chicago White Sox Tuesday, June 2, with three runs, three hits, including a double and a home run, four RBI and a walk.
Fantasy Tip: Gallo's ($4,000, 8.0% of cap) fantasy stock might not reach this height again in 2015, and seasonal owners should definitely test the trade waters to see what he might lure in. FantasyScore players have an upside value on their hands, and being attached to a surging Texas lineup helps. Still, don't forget, he struck out in 33.6% of his plate appearances this season with Class AA Frisco and the game Tuesday was his first above Class AA.

Fantasy Tip: Gallo ($4,000, 8.0% of cap) has all the upside to be a regular FantasyScore option. Season-long owners who can tolerate the high amount of strikeouts Gallo is almost sure to pile up, can certainly reap a reward from the power numbers.

Fantasy Tip: Gallo ($4,000, 8.0% of cap) may be a popular FantasyScore selection in his major league debut because of his immense power upside. However, be careful not to overvalue him too fast. Samardzija has allowed just 0.9 home runs per nine innings in 2015, and Gallo will swing and miss plenty in the majors.
Tue, 02 Jun 2015 13:38:52 -0700
Fantasy Tip: The injury doesn't seem serious, especially when considering Hamilton ($3,400, 6.8% of cap) had a late start to the year because of a shoulder injury. When healthy, Hamilton should continue to be a valuable fantasy piece on FantasyScore when he faces right-handed pitchers.

Texas Rangers OF Josh Hamilton (hamstring) is dealing with tightness in his lower half and is out of the starting lineup Tuesday, June 2. OF Delino DeShields Jr. is starting in left field and hitting leadoff against Chicago White Sox SP Jeff Samardzija.
Fantasy Tip: DeShields ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) is now basically the team's fourth outfielder with Hamilton back in the picture, but he can still be a nice value pick when he's in the lineup and hitting leadoff like tonight.

Texas Rangers 3B Adrian Beltre (thumb) was officially put on the 15-day disabled list with a sprained left thumb Monday, June 1, and 3B Joey Gallo will be purchased from Class AA Frisco Tuesday, June 2. General manager Jon Daniels said Gallo will be in the starting lineup most of the time. Gallo was hitting .314 with nine home runs and 31 RBI in 34 games in the minors this year, and all nine of his long balls were in the last 23 games. Gallo is expected to go to Class AAA Round Rock when Beltre returns from injury. He has 113 home runs and 277 RBI in 300 career minor league games.
Fantasy Tip: Gallo ($4,000, 8.0% of cap) is a tall, physical specimen with plenty of pop that certainly will translate to the major league level. However, use your FAAB money wisely while acquiring him, since he'll strike out plenty, and it looks like Texas is using him as a temporary solution to their third base spot with Beltre on the DL. At FantasyScore, he'll be a high-risk, high-reward commodity in the short term.

Fantasy Tip: At minimum, Gallo will have a two-week audition to prove his bat is ready for the majors. Adrian Beltre (thumb) is expected to miss two weeks, and with nearly everyday playing time, Gallo has fleeting value in the majority of fantasy formats. Should he take the job and run with it, the Rangers could manipulate their lineup to find him at-bats once Beltre returns. He has to prove he deserves to stick first, though. There is little doubt his power upside is legit.
Mon, 01 Jun 2015 14:32:38 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Gallo is worthy of a speculative grab in all formats, especially for teams lacking in the home run department. He has nine homers in 121 at-bats with Frisco, after launching 40 and 42 over two levels in each of 2013 and 2014, respectively. Still, he has struck out in 33.6% of his plate appearances this season and adjusting to major league pitching could prove to be an issue. Plus, his value may only be fleeting. Keep your expectations in check, but the upside is there.

Texas Rangers 1B Prince Fielder, who leads the American League with a .359 average and is fifth with a .975 OPS, has showed more leadership with Texas this year, and he's serving as a mentor to OF Delino DeShields Jr. and RP Keone Kela, according to team officials.
Fantasy Tip: Fielder ($5,800, 11.6% of cap) was scorching hot in May (.377-9-28) and has proven that his injury last year is behind him. He should continue to be a very strong FantasyScore option this season.
Mon, 01 Jun 2015 09:18:27 -0700
Texas Rangers SP Matt Harrison (back) threw a bullpen session Sunday, May 31, and he's scheduled to make a rehab start with Class AAA Round Rock Wednesday, June 3, which will be exactly a year after his spinal fusion surgery.
Fantasy Tip: Harrison has had a long road to recovery, and it'll be a mystery as to whether he can return to the Texas rotation and be effective. The odds are that he won't provide much for fantasy owners, so he's a stash candidate strictly in deep AL-only leagues.
Mon, 01 Jun 2015 07:48:53 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Gallo has as much power potential as any prospect in baseball, and you should look to acquire him in mixed leagues in case this scenario plays out. He's hitting .313 with nine homers and 31 RBI at Class AA Frisco.
