Fantasy Tip: Detwiler ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) is 0-5 on the year and is sporting a 6.95 ERA, so he's strictly an AL-only option for owners just looking for a warm body if he returns to the rotation. You should ignore him at FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: Struggles were expected for Hamilton ($3,400, 6.8% of cap), who hasn't really picked up a bat in an MLB game for several months. You may want to leave him on the sidelines until that bat shows signs of life.

Fantasy Tip: Lewis ($4,900, 9.8% of cap) had previously won four of his six decisions, so chalk this up to an off day on the mound. Keep an eye on him going forward.

Fantasy Tip: Make sure to remove Martin ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) from your fantasy lineups Wednesday. He is reeling along a 7-for-36 stretch with just three runs, one home run, one RBI and one stolen base over his last 14 games. DeShields ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) is sporting a .441 on-base percentage over his past 14 games with 14 runs and four stolen bases. He is an excellent target for FantasyScore players Wednesday.

Fantasy Tip: DeShields ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) has a hit in 12 of his last 14 games with 14 runs, five RBI, four stolen bases and a .327/.441/.469 slash line. He is an excellent low-priced flier with upside for FantasyScore players Wednesday, especially setting the table for a clicking Texas offense. The Rangers are averaging seven runs per game over their last seven contests.

Texas Rangers SP Colby Lewis has allowed a home run to both Cleveland Indians OFs Michael Brantley and Brandon Moss, and they have a 1.119 and 1.012 career OPS against Lewis, respectively. Additionally, the current Indians roster is 25-for-89 (.281 batting average) lifetime against Lewis. Lewis faces the Cleveland Indians Wednesday, May 27.
Fantasy Tip: Lewis ($4,900, 9.8% of cap) has allowed five earned runs in consecutive games, so after a solid start, he has begun to regress to the mediocre hurler we've seen over the past four seasons -- 4.24 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 7.9 K/9. FantasyScore players should view Lewis as a high-risk source of cap relief Wednesday, and likely going forward. In most cases, he is an ill-advised option.

Fantasy Tip: Chirinos ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) is likely getting a normal night off from catching. Corporan ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) is hitting .091 in his last 12 plate appearances and is not worth the start.

Fantasy Tip: DeShields ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) looks like he's getting a normal night off, as he and Shin-Soo Choo have formed a fairly good 1-2 punch at the top of the lineup. Martin ($3,000, 6.0% of cap) is worth a flier in your league as he is hitting .333 (6-for-18) with a home run and stolen base.

Fantasy Tip: With Feliz sidelined, Shawn Tolleson should continue to receive a bulk of the save chances.
Mon, 25 May 2015 20:30:23 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Hamilton ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) was hitless in his return, but the Rangers' offense is on a tear, and Hamilton has a ton of upside for the price at FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: Hamilton ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) will be making his season debut Monday after playing in some rehab games. Owners on FantasyScore may want to see how he performs in a few games before considering him for their lineups.
Mon, 25 May 2015 11:08:46 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Hamilton ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) is still a risky option even at his cheap price on FantasyScore as he has not played since last October. Steer clear until he gets back on track.

Fantasy Tip: All three players are fringe fantasy plays most days and have limited value in standard leagues. Pay close attention to their time early in this process to help gauge your level of fantasy commitment in the following weeks. It's best to avoid all three in the short term.

Updating an ongoing story, Texas Rangers OF Josh Hamilton (shoulder) is set to rejoin the major league club Monday, May 25. The timing couldn't be better, according to The Dallas Morning News writer Gerry Fraley, as Texas is riding a season-best five-game winning streak and place Hamilton into a no-pressure situation. Rangers manager Jeff Banister said Hamilton will be used in left field and is expected to bat fifth.
Fantasy Tip: Hamilton ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) should be avoided until he regains his sea legs in the bigs. Play him as nothing more than a source of cap relief in daily action for the time being.
Mon, 25 May 2015 01:36:53 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Holland ($4,300, 8.6% of cap) may not be ready for another few weeks, but this is an indication he's taking the next step. Give him some space to do so and don't pick Holland up until he's proven successful.
