Fantasy Tip: This isn't as big a surprise as you might think, as Gallo ($4,600, 9.2% of cap) cooled off after a hot start. Gallo had five homers and a .218 average. If you can stash Gallo on your bench in keeper leagues do it, as he will be back. Otherwise, drop him from FantasyScore consideration.

Fantasy Tip: Hamilton ($3,400, 6.8% of cap) may need a game or two before he is back to 100 percent, so be wary about using him on FantasyScore for now.

Fantasy Tip: Lewis ($4,300; or 8.6% of cap) should be avoided in FantasyScore for this unfavorable matchup.

Fantasy Tip: Harrison is nearing a return to the big club, but his exact role is uncertain. Avoid him in FantasyScore until he can officially return and pitch in the rotation and prove his health.

Updating a previous report, Texas Rangers OF Josh Hamilton (hamstring) is expected to come off the 15-day disabled list Tuesday, June 30. He was with the team Monday, June 29, and declared himself "ready to go."
Fantasy Tip: Hamilton ($3,400; or 6.8% of cap) should be avoided in FantasyScore until he can play at least one full game without any setbacks.

Texas Rangers 1B Mitch Moreland belted a pair of home runs Monday, June 29, against the Baltimore Orioles, finishing with three RBIs. It was his sixth-career multi-homer game, and first since May 2013.
Fantasy Tip: Moreland ($3,800; or 7.6% of cap) has had a fruitful June, hitting .313 (30-for-96) with four doubles, seven homers and 21 RBIs in 24 games in the current month to make him a FantasyScore steal at this price level.

Texas Rangers SP Wandy Rodriguez allowed one run while scattering eight hits over five-plus innings with seven strikeouts in a road win against the Baltimore Orioles Monday, June 29. He is 5-0 with a 2.23 ERA in eight road outings this season.
Fantasy Tip: Rodriguez ($4,900; or 9.8% of cap) has re-emerged as a respectable FantasyScore option, especially when he is pitching on the road.

Texas Rangers SP Derek Holland (shoulder) will have a follow-up MRI this week before he is cleared for the next step in his rehab. He has stretched his throwing program out to 120 feet, and the next step might be throwing from a mound.
Fantasy Tip: Holland is making his way back from a serious shoulder injury, so it's uncertain how effective he will be when he finally returns and in what capacity he will work. FantasyScore players need to let him get a few appearances under his belt before trusting him again.

Fantasy Tip: Blanks can be a cheap source of power for FantasyScore players, but he continues to have issues staying healthy.

Texas Rangers OF Delino DeShields Jr. (hamstring) took a scheduled day off Monday, June 29, from his rehab stint at Triple-A Round Rock. He served as the designated hitter in two games over the weekend. He is scheduled to play in the outfield for the Express Tuesday, June 30, but manager Jeff Banister said he does not want to rush DeShields, a speed player returning from a hamstring issue.
Fantasy Tip: DeShields will not come off the 15-day disabled list until at least Friday, so FantasyScore players will want to wait until the weekend to let him prove his health and play without any setbacks.

Texas Rangers OF Josh Hamilton (hamstring) worked to shorten up his running stride in order to manage the soreness in his left hamstring. He acknowledged that he's still not 100% but said that he is ready to play center field and is expected to come off the disabled list Tuesday, June 30. Hamilton went 4-for-12 on a four-game rehab assignment and played the last two games in center field. He has a .345 career average with 11 home runs in 110 at-bats in Baltimore, where the team is playing this week.
Fantasy Tip: Hamilton ($3,400, 6.8% of cap) should be owned in all fantasy leagues, and he should contribute valuable stats if he can stay healthy and in the lineup. His return might spell a trip back to the minors for Joey Gallo ($4,600, 9.2% of cap), who would probably benefit from some more seasoning.

Updating a previous report, Texas Rangers OF Josh Hamilton (hamstring) acknowledged while he is not 100%, he is ready to play center field Monday, June 29. He is expected to be activated from the disabled list Tuesday, June 30. "I was hoping to play today, but we decided to give me a day to recover after the travel and the workout," Hamilton added Monday.
Fantasy Tip: Hamilton ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) projects to return to the heart of the Rangers' batting order. He is worth owning in all fantasy leagues, and at his current cap hit, FantasyScore players shouldn't be afraid to take a flier on Hamilton when he faces a favorable pitcher.

Fantasy Tip: Chirinos ($3,400, 6.8% of cap) has respectable counting stats this season (21 runs, seven home runs and 26 RBI), and should be viewed as a low-end option in cavernous mixed, AL-only and two-catcher formats going forward. Corporan ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) has a .544 OPS this season, and FantasyScore players should likely aim higher Monday.
Mon, 29 Jun 2015 13:06:50 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Odor ($4,400, 8.8% of cap) has two home runs, nine RBI and a .395/.442/.632 slash line over 12 games since he was recalled from the minors. Batting leadoff adds to his already increasing value, and FantasyScore players should view Odor as a solid value play at the keystone Monday and going forward.

Fantasy Tip: Hamilton ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) is at a cheap price to give a shot on FantasyScore when he returns.
