Fantasy Tip: Gallardo went 13-11 with a 3.42 ERA in 33 starts in his first season with the Texas Rangers and could potentially serve as the ace in Baltimore. Camden Yards is hardly a pitcher's paradise, but the soon-to-be 30-year-old was able to fare better than most in the hitters' haven that is Rangers Ballpark last season. The one-time All-Star has won at least 13 games in six of his last seven years and was brilliant in his only career start in Camden Yards in 2015, tossing six scoreless innings.

Fantasy Tip: If Fowler were to land in Texas, he'd likely be competing for playing time in either left or center field. He had a career-high 17 homers and 46 RBI for the Chicago Cubs last year, and a move to another hitter-friendly park would keep him relevant in the late middle rounds of mixed leagues for outfield depth.

Fantasy Tip: Tolleson checks the necessary boxes to continue returning solid fantasy value as a closer for your virtual team. He walked just 2.1 batters per nine innings and stuck out 9.5 batters per nine and posted a 2.99 ERA and a 1.15 WHIP to go along with his 35 saves. View him as a mid-tier closer to grab after the top options begin being drafted.

Texas Rangers 3B Adrian Beltre (thumb, back) is no longer limited by his surgically repaired left thumb, and the back issues that he dealt with in the American League Division Series in October faded by November. Beltre said he's doing all baseball activities and has four more weeks to prepare for spring training.
Fantasy Tip: Beltre still managed to play in 143 games last year and hit 18 home runs and drove in 83 runs. However, at age 36 he's an added injury risk who is unlikely to return to 30 home runs again, even in a hitter's park. Beltre remains a productive fantasy third baseman when healthy, but the risks might start to outweigh the rewards in 2016.

Fantasy Tip: This could have been a nightmare for Darvish fans and Rangers supporters, but now it is a non-issue. Darvish remains a risky pick in fantasy drafts (no later than the middle rounds) because of his Tommy John surgery.

Fantasy Tip: Although Lewis won 17 games for Texas last season, the 36-year-old right-hander also posted a 4.66 ERA and 1.24 WHIP. As a result, he shouldn't be considered until the later rounds of drafts for AL-only and cavernous mixed leagues.

Fantasy Tip: It's not a good sign when a player needs to undergo cortisone injections during the offseason. Hamilton is coming off an injury-plagued 2015 campaign where he hit .253 with eight home runs and 25 RBIs in 50 games while battling knee, shoulder, groin and hamstring issues. He should be viewed as a late-round flier in deep mixed leagues because of his recent medical history.

Fantasy Tip: With Elvis Andrus and Rougned Odor ahead of him up the middle, there is a good chance Profar fails to crack the roster for opening day. Profar is nothing more than a stash candidate in cavernous mixed and AL-only redraft leagues, and his real value and intrigue still remains in keeper/dynasty formats.

Texas Rangers SP Yu Darvish said he has never been involved in gambling activities amid a Major League Baseball investigation after the arrest of his younger brother in Japan. Darvish issued a statement through his agent to recognize MLB's need to conduct an investigation. He declined comment but said he is certain they will find he had no involvement. "I am not and have never been involved with gambling activities," the statement read. "While I understand that Major League Baseball must conduct an investigation, I am certain that they will find that I had no involvement in this matter whatsoever. I will not comment on this matter again, out of respect for Major League Baseball's investigation, and I am focused on preparing for the upcoming season."
Fantasy Tip: Darvish may be out until May due to recovery from Tommy John surgery, and he's a low-end SP2 in fantasy.

Fantasy Tip: Moreland hit .278 with 23 home runs and 85 RBIs in 132 regular-season contests last year while earning $2.95 million. He is a midrange first baseman who should be selected once the big names come off the draft board.

Fantasy Tip: Chirinos had a .232-10-34 line in platoon duty last season, but his fantasy prospects lean more to depth than starting.

Fantasy Tip: Profar seems to be blocked right now unless he lands a spot in the outfield. He's still worth consideration for a late-round flyer and will have AL-only value.

Fantasy Tip: Wilhemsen is a decent ratios/holds/K's guy with Shawn Tolleson firmly entrenched as the closer. Look for Wilhemsen at the end of drafts.

Fantasy Tip: Upton is looking for a multi-year deal, so he is expected to continue exploring the free-agent market. The 28-year-old hit .251 with 26 home runs, 81 RBIs and 19 steals in 150 games for the Padres last season. A move from San Diego to Texas should boost Upton's fantasy value because of the hitter-friendly stadium dimensions and the improved lineup protection he would receive as he enters what should be the most productive seasons of his career. He should be viewed as a low-end OF1 in fantasy baseball regardless of where he signs.

Fantasy Tip: Ozuna has a lot of potential, and if he can regain good standing with the Fish, he's a solid OF3 with upside.
