Tampa Bay Rays RP Brad Boxberger is not in danger of losing the closing role in the final month, and manager Kevin Cash still has confidence in him. Cash said there are no plans to switch RP Alex Colome's and Boxberger's roles in the back end of the bullpen.
Fantasy Tip: Continue to run Boxberger out there for saves if you own him, but just know that it could continue to be ugly at times. He's allowed a run in four of his last seven outings with two blown saves and a loss over that span.

Tampa Bay Rays OF Steven Souza (hand) will be re-evaluated Monday, Sept. 7, and he could go to Florida for rehab at-bats if he needs them next week. If not, he will rejoin the team on their road trip.
Fantasy Tip: Souza ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) is clearly a candidate to return before the end of the regular season. Check to see if he was dropped in your league. He has an exciting mix of power and speed that could be useful everywhere, even if he does have plenty of swing and miss to his game.

Fantasy Tip: Arencibia ($2,300, 4.6% of cap) has homered in back-to-back games, and he is a cheap source of power worth starting until he starts to cool substantially.
Wed, 02 Sep 2015 21:43:13 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Forsythe ($4,400, 8.8% of cap) was lifted for a pinch runner late in the game, so that's a bit of a concern for FantasyScore players. However, if he is in the starting lineup in the next game it appears safe to get him back into the active lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Longoria ($4,400, 8.8% of cap) has cracked three homers with four RBIs over the past three games with four runs scored. At this price level he is a must-start in FantasyScore until he cools off.

Fantasy Tip: It appears safe to get Kiermaier ($4,000, 8.0% of cap) back into the lineup in FantasyScore now that he made it through the entire game without any lingering effects of his injury.

Tampa Bay Rays OF Steven Souza (hand) will take batting practice with the team for a few days before going on a minor-league rehab stint at Class AAA Durham. If all goes well he might re-join the big club before the end of the season, according to manager Kevin Cash.
Fantasy Tip: Avoid Souza ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) until he can officially return and prove his health in a full game without any setbacks. He'll also have some rust to knock off after a long layoff.
Wed, 02 Sep 2015 13:12:49 -0700
Fantasy Tip: You'll want to check back for an official word out of Tampa, but Karns ($6,700, 13.4% of cap) could be in danger of losing his rotation spot. He has pitched well this season (3.69 ERA and 4.05 FIP), though, so stand pat for now. Moore was awful through his first six starts this season, but he has been sharper at Class AAA, so he is worth a flier in the majority of fantasy leagues.
Wed, 02 Sep 2015 12:44:33 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Moore should remain fairly cheap on FantasyScore for his start against the Yankees this weekend. You'll probably want to steer clear of him in his first start back in the majors, though, as the Bronx Bombers own the fourth-best OPS (.775) against southpaws in 2015.
Wed, 02 Sep 2015 12:39:18 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Kiermaier ($4,000, 8.0% of cap) doesn't really do anything that stands out for his fantasy owners, and a consistent low positioning in the batting order caps his daily value on FantasyScore. He remains a low-end outfield commodity.
Wed, 02 Sep 2015 12:36:31 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Forsythe ($4,400, 8.8% of cap) has had a quietly solid season for the Rays, hitting .286 (131-for-458) with 15 home runs and 53 RBI. Against an inconsistent starter in a hitter-friendly venue, Forsythe isn't bad option at second base if you want to save a little loot.
Wed, 02 Sep 2015 12:35:05 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Guyer ($2,600, 5.2% of cap) had a big night Tuesday and could keep that momentum going against a pitcher that has struggled of late in a hitter-friendly ballpark. The move up the lineup is also enticing for Guyer in daily formats, but he's still somewhat of a deep sleeper.
Tue, 01 Sep 2015 22:51:08 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Despite the offensive outburst, Arencibia ($2,300, 4.6% of cap) needs to produce on a more regular basis to be trusted again in FantasyScore.
Tue, 01 Sep 2015 18:27:32 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Forsythe ($4,400, 8.8% of cap) might have left the game as a precaution since Tampa was blowing out Baltimore and there was no sense risking further damage. It wasn't a total loss for FantasyScore players, as Forsythe was 3-for-3 with a double and two runs scored before departing. Tim Beckham replaced him.
Tue, 01 Sep 2015 14:31:00 -0700
Fantasy Tip: There's a good chance that Kiermaier ($4,000, 8.0% of cap) is back in the starting lineup tomorrow. However, he's a weak option for daily gamers with a .261 average on the year and only seven home runs. Plus, he typically hits near the bottom of the Tampa lineup.
