Fantasy Tip: Souza ended up reaching base four times with a single, double, walk and the HBP. At $3,700 (or 7.4% of cap) he is a solid play in FantasyScore due to his tremendous upside.

Fantasy Tip: McGee could return and work his way into the closer's role at some point. Keep an eye on him in weekly fantasy formats.

Fantasy Tip: Souza ($3,600, 7.2% of cap) entered the game Monday night hitless in his last 17 at-bats, and he made that 18 when he struck out in his first at-bat. Souza has 13 K's in his last 18 at-bats. Avoid him until he breaks out of this funk everywhere, including at FantasyScore.

Tampa Bay Rays SS Asdrubal Cabrera, who is hitless in his last 14 at-bats, was dropped from third to seventh in the batting order Monday, May 4. OF David DeJesus, who is 0-for-17 lately, was dropped to fifth in the lineup. 1B James Loney has moved to the third spot.
Fantasy Tip: Cabrera ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) and DeJesus ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) should be looked at as weaker FantasyScore plays tonight, even against a right-handed pitcher. Loney ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) is a midrange first base play tonight while seeing a bump into the heart of the batting order.

Fantasy Tip: Cobb ($6,600, 13.2% of cap) will likely not be able to return to the rotation for at least another month now, and maybe longer. You'll have to remain patient with him in standard leagues. Nathan Karns and Alex Colome will have more run with a rotation spot with Cobb's setback.

Fantasy Tip: Kiermaier ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) is hitting .286 (10-for-35) with three RBI since April 19 and will continue to see everyday playing time with Desmond Jennings (knee) on the DL. He's much more attractive while hitting atop Tampa's lineup, and he's a sleeper play in daily games tonight against Buchholz.

Fantasy Tip: Moore is recovering from Tommy John surgery and slowly working his way back. He could be a rotation option for the Rays in another couple of weeks. If he's on the waiver wire in your league, you should definitely consider stashing him now. Holding off on using him at FantasyScore would be wise for at least his first several starts upon his return.

Tampa Bay Rays OF Desmond Jennings (knee), who was put on the 15-day disabled list over the weekend, doesn't have a timetable for his return, but manager Kevin Cash isn't ruling out Jennings coming off the DL when he's eligible May 11.
Fantasy Tip: With Jennings out for at least the next two weeks, Brandon Guyer ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) should see regular playing time in the outfield. He'll be an under-the-radar daily option at FantasyScore, and he's hitting .273 (9-for-33) with a home run and six RBI since April 19.
Sun, 03 May 2015 14:50:38 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Moore was injured around this time last year, so he should be approaching availability for the Rays in the next several weeks. Give him time to get acclimated before pouncing on him immediately.
Sun, 03 May 2015 08:46:20 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Beckham ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) only has six hits over his last 11 games but also has four RBI in that span. He is batting .259 so far this season, but owners on FantasyScore may be able to find a better option to use.
Sun, 03 May 2015 08:36:06 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Cabrera ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) likely is receiving a day off and should return soon. Tim Beckham ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) will be starting at shortstop but may not be a great option on FantasyScore.
Sun, 03 May 2015 08:35:25 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Guyer ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) should see more playing time with Desmond Jennings on the disabled list. Guyer is batting .240 so far this season but has recorded seven RBI. He could be a cheaper option for owners on FantasyScore, but there may be better options for owners to consider.
Sun, 03 May 2015 07:37:18 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Brandon Guyer ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) should receive some starts with Jennings out of the lineup. He has four hits in his last four games but is only hitting .240 this season with one home run and seven RBI. Owners on FantasyScore probably will be able to find better options.
Sun, 03 May 2015 06:49:09 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Expect Brandon Guyer ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) to receive the majority of starts in Jennings' absence. Guyer is nothing more than a low-priced flier for FantasyScore players, though. He is batting .240 this season and is just a .252 hitter through 357 career at-bats, and Guyer offers little pop upside. Jennings' appeal is limited to deep mixed and AL-only leagues at this point.

Tampa Bay Rays OF Desmond Jennings (knee) was a late scratch Saturday, May 2, against the Baltimore Orioles. Scratching Jennings preserved the Rays' ability to backdate his potential move to the disabled list. Jennings was replaced by OF Brandon Guyer.
Fantasy Tip: Guyer ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) could be in line for a temporary starting position if Jennings is placed on the DL. Guyer is an inconsistent player offensively, and he won't have much to offer FantasyScore owners.
