Fantasy Tip: It is uncertain if Lincecum ($4,200, 8.4% of cap) will rejoin the rotation or head to the bullpen when he is healthy enough to return. If he does return to a starting role, FantasyScore owners should avoid using him in his first game back so that he can prove he is both healthy and effective.

Updating a previous report, San Francisco Giants SS Brandon Crawford (oblique) is expected to miss the entire weekend series against the St. Louis Cardinals. "It doesn't surprise me," manager Bruce Bochy said. "I've seen these things linger for three, four weeks. Sometimes it's a week. This was a mild strain. We think he'll be OK after this series."
Fantasy Tip: Expect INF Ehire Adrianza ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) to fill in for Crawford at shortstop, although he provides little else other than salary cap relief in FantasyScore.

San Francisco Giants 2B Joe Panik (back) is scheduled to hit indoors Saturday, Aug. 29, and hit on the field Sunday, Aug. 30. If all goes well, he will begin a minor league rehab assignment Tuesday, Sept. 1.
Fantasy Tip: Panik ($4,000, 8.0% of cap) could return from the disabled list near the conclusion of the team's upcoming road trip, which comes to an end Sept. 9. Kelby Tomlinson ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) and Ehire Adrianza ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) are splitting time at the keystone position for now, with Tomlinson being the far better offensive option.

San Francisco Giants OF Angel Pagan (knee) did some running before the game Friday, Aug. 28, but will continue his rehab assignment by playing in three more minor league games for Class AAA Sacramento.
Fantasy Tip: Pagan ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) now appears to be on pace to be activated from the disabled list when rosters are expanded Tuesday, Sept. 1. Give him at least one or two games after he returns to action before considering him for use in FantasyScore.

San Francisco Giants SS Brandon Crawford (oblique) remains out of the starting lineup against St. Louis Cardinals SP Michael Wacha Friday, Aug. 28. INF Ehire Adrianza will bat eighth and play shortstop.
Fantasy Tip: Remove Crawford ($4,500, 9.0% of cap) from all fantasy lineups. Adrianza ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) is just 1-for-12 over the past week and is hitting .191 during the month of August, so he should be avoided tonight in FantasyScore.
Fri, 28 Aug 2015 17:05:58 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Blanco ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) is batting .268 during the month of August and is hitting .365 at home this season, making him a productive source of cap relief for FantasyScore owners.

San Francisco Giants SP Matt Cain (elbow) was placed on the 15-day disabled list Friday, Aug. 28, because of nerve irritation in his elbow. The Giants also recalled SP Chris Heston from Class AAA Sacramento. He received a cortisone shot and underwent an MRI a few days ago which came back clean. Cain hopes to be able to pitch after 15 days.
Fantasy Tip: Owners should monitor Cain's ($4,700, 9.4% of cap) recovery over the next few weeks to see if he has a chance to pitch again this season. Heston will be facing the St. Louis Cardinals this weekend and may not be a great option for fantasy owners.

Fantasy Tip: Make sure to avoid Heyward ($4,900, 9.8% of cap) in all fantasy formats Friday. He owns a .318/.392/.482 slash line with 14 runs, eight extra-base hits, 13 RBI and five stolen bases over his past 25 games. He was dealing with a hamstring injury last week, so it might just be an opportune time to rest him. Moss ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) hit his first home run with the Cardinals Thursday, Aug. 27, so perhaps it is the sign of things to come. He is a viable flier at FantasyScore Friday.
Thu, 27 Aug 2015 18:24:48 -0700
Fantasy Tip: In addition to being a grand slam, Tomlinson's ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) blast was the first home run of his major league career. He is batting .346 through 20 games this season and is an excellent source of cap relief in FantasyScore.
Thu, 27 Aug 2015 18:05:45 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Bumgarner ($9,600, 19.2% of cap) has won his last five starts and is tied with Cubs SP Jake Arrieta for the most victories in the majors. He will square off against Los Angeles Dodgers SP Zack Greinke in his next start Tuesday, Sept. 1.
Thu, 27 Aug 2015 11:06:12 -0700
San Francisco Giants SS Brandon Crawford (oblique) is not in the starting lineup Thursday, Aug. 27. SS Ehire Adrianza is starting at shortstop and batting eighth against Chicago Cubs SP Dan Haren Thursday.
Fantasy Tip: Make sure to remove Crawford ($4,500, 9.0% of cap) from your lineups in all formats. He is optimistic to return sooner than later, so check back for updates. Adrianza ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) owns a .522 OPS this season, and he should be viewed as nothing more than a desperation source of cap relief at FantasyScore.
Wed, 26 Aug 2015 18:45:45 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Blanco ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) should be avoided in FantasyScore until he can officially return and prove his health in a full game without any lingering effects of his injury. Juan Perez ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) replaced him in the lineup.
Wed, 26 Aug 2015 18:44:52 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Lincecum ($4,200, 8.4% of cap) could be used in the rotation, or he might be used out of the bullpen. His status is up in the air. FantasyScore players should ignore him until he can officially return to the rotation and prove his health through a full start without any setbacks.
Wed, 26 Aug 2015 18:43:54 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Give Hudson ($5,100, 10.2% of cap) a start or two to knock off the rust before trusting him in FantasyScore again.
Wed, 26 Aug 2015 18:43:19 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Cain ($4,700, 9.4% of cap) hasn't been so hot lately, and FantasyScore players will want to avoid him until he gets untracked. He is 0-2 with an 8.03 ERA in five starts in the month of August, serving up seven home runs in 24 2/3 innings.
