Fantasy Tip: Panik ($3,600, 7.2% of cap) really started to pick it up in May, hitting .314 (33-for-105) with four home runs and 15 RBI. However, finding value from him tonight against Pittsburgh Pirates ace Gerrit Cole could be tough. Cole is limiting lefty sticks to a .648 OPS in 2015.

Fantasy Tip: Casilla has had back-to-back shaky outings, and his 1.48 WHIP is a little concerning. He isn't on the hot seat just yet, but another rough outing or two could change that in a hurry.

Fantasy Tip: It is a nice run from the veteran, who has been effective for stretches in the past. Still, Vogelsong ($3,300, 6.6% of cap) has a 16-21 record with a 4.56 ERA, a 1.38 WHIP and a 6.8 K/9 since the beginning of 2013. Don't be fooled into expecting him to maintain his current dominance. At best, he is a spot starter against weak lineups in mixed leagues and FantasyScore contests.

Fantasy Tip: Peavy ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) is a pitcher that you need to watch. If he isn't totally healthy, then you should leave him alone. Still, don't drop him outright. Once he is recovered, it may take a little time but Peavy should rebound from these injuries.

Fantasy Tip: Cain ($4,300, 8.6% of cap) will make a good player for your roster once he returns. As previous tips have suggested, it may not be until later this summer, however. Keep him on your bench in yearly leagues and play him once he returns.

Fantasy Tip: Lincecum ($5,300, 10.6% of cap) picked up his first loss after a 4-0 start, but he had shown signs of turning things around a little following struggles in recent years. Keep him on your list of starters to watch, but obviously keep the matchup situations in mind.

Fantasy Tip: Belt ($4,000, 8.0% of cap) has a .330-6-16 line in May and is well worth the stash for his services on FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: Susac ($1,900, 3.8% of cap) is hitting just .227 and isn't worth the start on FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: With injuries taking their toll on the backstop position, Posey's ($5,200, 10.4% of cap) consistent production has become even more valuable. He is currently sporting a .301/.371/.468 slash line with 23 runs, eight home runs and 27 RBI. He is a plus-start in the majority of matchups, but FantasyScore players will have to spend up to roster him.

Fantasy Tip: Peavy ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) had an ERA of 9.39 and a 2.09 WHIP after just two starts in 2015, and he should remain on the waiver wire in shallow mixed formats until he proves he's fully healthy in his return to the rotation. Ryan Vogelson ($3,300, 6.6% of cap), who has pitched well of late, and Chris Heston ($5,100, 10.2% of cap) are the ones most in danger of losing their rotation spot. Stay tuned.

Fantasy Tip: Peavy ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) is working his way back from the injury and may need more rehab starts before he returns to the team. Owners on FantasyScore may want to see Peavy pitch in a game or two for the Giants before using him in their lineups.

Fantasy Tip: Panik ($3,600, 7.2% of cap) is hitting .302 this month and has seven RBI in his last eight games. Panik could be a solid starting option on FantasyScore against most matchups.
Wed, 27 May 2015 10:18:08 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Pagan ($3,300, 6.6% of cap) could return to the top of the lineup when the club returns home from their road trip. Pagan is hitting .306 (52-for-170) but has no home runs and only 11 stolen bases. He's productive, but he typically doesn't fill out a stat sheet, and hitting at the bottom of the order today makes him even less attractive at FantasyScore.

San Francisco Giants SP Madison Bumgarner is 4-2 with a 1.65 ERA in seven career starts against the Milwaukee Brewers, who he faces Tuesday, May 26. He is 1-0 with a 0.57 ERA in two starts at Miller Park.
Fantasy Tip: Even though the Brewers aren't nearly as anemic on offense as they were in the season's opening month, Bumgarner ($8,500, 17.0% of cap) remains a fine starting pitching option tonight on the road, especially given his career numbers against the Brew Crew.
Tue, 26 May 2015 16:26:12 -0700
San Francisco Giants C Buster Posey hit hitting .381 in his career at Miller Park, the home of the Milwaukee Brewers, and he has six home runs and 15 RBI in 42 at-bats there. His 1.306 OPS there is the best of any park in which he's played more than three games.
Fantasy Tip: Posey ($5,200, 10.4% of cap) remains a safe option at catcher for FantasyScore users if you're willing to pay up for production. He's hit well in May, going 28-for-78 (.359) with four home runs and 14 RBI after a slow April.
