San Francisco Giants SP Tim Lincecum (elbow) is likely to be added to the disabled list after being hit by a line drive in the second inning of the game Sunday, June 28, against the Colorado Rockies. Lincecum told reporters that his elbow felt tight and that he was experiencing swelling. If he is placed on the DL it will be the first time Lincecum has been placed on the DL in his career.
Fantasy Tip: Lincecum ($5,200, 10.4% of cap) hasn't pitched well this season and there was speculation that he could lose his place in the starting rotation when SP Matt Cain (forearm) and SP Jake Peavy (back) returned from injury. Lincecum hasn't been a reliable fantasy performer and now it looks like he will be moving to the bullpen. He can be dropped in shallower mixed leagues.

San Francisco Giants SP Madison Bumgarner improved to 8-4 with a win over the Colorado Rockies Sunday, June 28, allowing two runs on five hits over 7 2/3 innings and striking out eight to surpass 1,000 for his career. He also went 2-for-3 with a solo home run at the plate.
Fantasy Tip: Bumgarner ($9,100, 18.2% of cap) is enjoying his best stretch of the season, and he has allowed two runs or less in four straight starts while striking out 38 batters in 31 innings over the same stretch. When he is dealing, Bumgarner can be one of the toughest pitchers in the game, and he is a borderline must-start at FantasyScore right now.

San Francisco Giants 1B Brandon Belt is in the starting lineup against Colorado Rockies SP Kyle Kendrick Sunday, June 28, batting fifth. C/1B Buster Posey, who started the last two games at first base, will start behind the plate and hit cleanup.
Fantasy Tip: Belt ($5,000, 10.0% of cap) is hitting .313 against Rockies pitching this season and is 2-for-7 (.286) in his career against Kendrick. However, his .195 average during the month of June may be a reason to avoid using him in FantasyScore today. Posey ($5,300, 10.6% of cap) is a career .500 hitter against Kendrick in 12 at-bats.

Fantasy Tip: With Matt Cain and Jake Peavy due to return from the disabled list in the coming week, placing Lincecum ($5,200, 10.4% of cap) on the DL would open up a spot. Meanwhile, Lincecum may not have a spot in the rotation to return to if either Cain or Peavy pitches well. He had been struggling for the last month anyway, and there is a good chance his value at FantasyScore could be completely disappearing.

San Francisco Giants 3B Matt Duffy went 3-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and three runs scored in a 7-5 win over the Colorado Rockies Saturday, June 27, and he has hit safely in 11 of his last 12 games.
Fantasy Tip: Duffy ($3,500, 7.0% of cap) has 10 RBI and 11 runs scored during the stretch, and he has been improving every month. He has been providing great value for the price at FantasyScore, and he could have another solid game Sunday when Colorado starts Kyle Kendrick, who owns an ugly 5.96 ERA on the year.

Fantasy Tip: Lincecum ($5,200, 10.4% of cap) allowed three runs in less than two innings, and his rotation spot was already in jeopardy. This may seal his fate for the near future.

Fantasy Tip: Blanco ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) is hitting .368 over the last seven days and is batting .352 at home this season. He is worth considering in FantasyScore as a low-cost outfield option. Belt ($5,000, 10.0% of cap) has had a June he'd like to forget, batting just .195 with two homers and 10 RBIs.

Fantasy Tip: Susac ($1,900, 3.8% of cap) is batting .367 during the month of June and .455 over the past week, so it's easy to see why the Giants want to keep his bat in the lineup. He batted seventh Friday and has been moved up to the No. 5 spot this afternoon. Posey ($5,300, 10.6% of cap) is hitting .286 with three homers and 21 RBIs this month and remains a high-end catcher in all fantasy formats.

Fantasy Tip: Less than 24 hours ago, it appeared as though there was a possibility of Pagan ($3,500, 7.0% of cap) landing on the disabled list but apparently his condition improved considerably overnight. FantasyScore owners should avoid using him today so that he can prove that he is 100 percent healthy.

Fantasy Tip: Affeldt could have had chances to close games or work in key set-up situations had he stayed healthy, but it's hard to tell now if he'll be back prior to the All-Star break. If you have him in an annual league, the best bet is simply to bench him and find a better alternative.

San Francisco Giants OF Angel Pagan (knee) was spotted limping in the clubhouse after he injured his left knee running into the wall Thursday, June 25. He underwent an MRI exam and had X-rays and will not be available against the Colorado Rockies Friday, June 26.
Fantasy Tip: Pagan ($3,500, 7.0% of cap) could require a stint on the disabled list, which would be a serious blow to an outfield that already lost Nori Aoki (leg) to injury earlier this week. Expect Gregor Blanco ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) to see the bulk of the playing time in center field if Pagan is sidelined for an extended period.

Fantasy Tip: It is worth noting, a number of those games came at hitter-friendly Coors Field and skew the statistics. Still, Posey is a high-end catcher in all formats and worthy of FantasyScore consideration most nights, including Friday. He is currently riding a solid 22-for-70 run with 14 runs, three home runs, 19 RBI and a .908 OPS over his past 19 games.

San Francisco Giants C Buster Posey went 3-for-5 with three RBI, three runs scored and two doubles in a 13-8 win over the San Diego Padres Thursday, June 25, and he has seven RBI over the last two games.
Fantasy Tip: Although his average has slipped a bit this year, Posey ($5,300, 10.6% of cap) has 12 RBI over his last six games and is up to 48 for the year. He remains one of the better options at catcher at FantasyScore.
Thu, 25 Jun 2015 12:15:21 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Ishikawa was just called up yesterday to give the Giants some outfield depth after Nori Aoki (leg) landed on the DL. Ishikawa will be a very cheap daily commodity, but he should be considered a guy to avoid on FantasyScore.
Thu, 25 Jun 2015 11:43:56 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Heston ($5,700, 11.4% of cap) profiles as a great value play today on FantasyScore. The Padres rank second with 491 punchouts against right-handed starters this season, and has pitched better in the pitcher-friendly confines in San Fran in 2015.
