Pittsburgh Pirates manager Clint Hurdle said the team will not rush SP Jeff Karstens (shoulder) back even though he has pitched well in interleague games which are upcoming. Karstens threw 59 pitches in a rehab start for Triple-A Indianapolis and will throw 80 pitches or five innings in his next rehab start.
