Philadelphia Phillies 1B Ryan Howard went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in a 5-4 win over the Atlanta Braves Sunday, April 26, and all three of his home runs this season have come in his last five games.
Fantasy Tip: After managing just two RBIs in his first 11 games, Howard ($2,600, 5.2% of cap) has seven in his last five games. He could keep the momentum going when Philadelphia opens up a series against St. Louis Monday, April 27. He is hitting .362 in 57 career games against the Cardinals and offers nice upside for the price at FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: Ruiz ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) likely is receiving the day off since it is a day game after a night game. Rupp ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) has not done much at the plate this season and is not a strong option for owners on FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: Hernandez ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) has posted a solid .261 batting average so far this season but only has three RBI in 13 games. Owners on FantasyScore likely will be able to find a better option to use on FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: Asche ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) is off to a solid start this season and likely will return to the lineup for the next game. Cesar Hernandez ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) will start at third base, but owners may want to look for other options to use at the position.

Fantasy Tip: Papelbon could miss a few days because of the illness but should not be sidelined for very long. Papelbon has picked up three saves so far this season and should be in starting lineups as long as he is healthy.

Philadelphia Phillies OF Ben Revere is starting in left field and hitting leadoff against Atlanta Braves SP Alex Wood Friday, April 24. OF Odubel Herrera was dropped to the second spot in the batting order.
Fantasy Tip: Revere ($3,400, 6.8% of cap) is just flopping spots with Herrera Friday night, so it's not a big lineup shakeup. Revere has disappointed his owners with his start to 2015, going 10-for-53 (.189) with four stolen bases. Despite hitting .341 (61-for-179) in 2014 against lefties, Revere is a weak FantasyScore option tonight against Wood.

Philadelphia Phillies SS Freddy Galvis is not in the starting lineup Thursday, April 23. SS Andres Blanco is starting at the 6 and hitting eighth in the batting order against Miami Marlins SP David Phelps.
Fantasy Tip: Blanco ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) is a light-hitting utility infielder that won't excite many folks at FantasyScore today, even while facing the underwhelming Phelps.
Thu, 23 Apr 2015 09:15:55 -0700
Philadelphia Phillies C Carlos Ruiz is not in the starting lineup Thursday, April 23. C Cameron Rupp is starting behind the dish and hitting sixth in the batting order against Miami Marlins SP David Phelps.
Fantasy Tip: Ruiz is off to a rough start this year and is being rested during a day game after a night tilt. Rupp ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) has two hits in 15 at-bats this year, and isn't a recommended catching option at FantasyScore in an already weak Phillies lineup that is resting most of their regulars today.
Thu, 23 Apr 2015 07:21:52 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Darin Ruf ($2,000, 4.0% of your cap) is in there against Bartolo Colon, but he's just 3-for-30 (.100) to open the season. Avoid him on FantasyScore.
Thu, 23 Apr 2015 07:10:11 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Cesar Hernandez ($1,600, 3.2% of your cap) is in there against Bartolo Colon. Hernandez has little FantasyScore appeal.

Philadelphia Phillies SP Cole Hamels allowed one unearned run, five hits and three walks over six innings in a no-decision Wednesday, April 22, against the Miami Marlins. He also recorded five strikeouts in the 106-pitch quality start.
Fantasy Tip: Hamels ($7,800; 15.6% of cap) is winless in four starts despite a respectable 3.75 ERA and 1.21 WHIP. The problem has been the Phillies have totaled just six runs in his four games started this season. FantasyScore owners will still like his 23 strikeouts over 24 innings, but be mindful wins will be hard to come by.
Wed, 22 Apr 2015 20:45:07 -0700
Fantasy Tip: O'Sullivan will be replaced in the rotation Thursday against the Marlins by Dustin McGowan, who will pitch three or four innings before turning it over to another reliever. At $3,000 (or 6.0% of cap) O'Sullivan should be avoided until he is 100 percent healthy and facing a favorable ultra-matchup.
Wed, 22 Apr 2015 20:44:02 -0700
Fantasy Tip: McGowan isn't expected to go more than three or four innings, so fantasy players will want to steer far clear of this situation.
Wed, 22 Apr 2015 20:43:35 -0700
Fantasy Tip: It was his only hit in four at-bats and he is still hitting a paltry .120 for the season. FantasyScore owners would be wise to avoid Utley, even at a tempting price of $2,900 (or 5.8% of cap), until he starts to produce better results.
Tue, 21 Apr 2015 22:29:21 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Williams also posted six strikeouts in the 94-pitch quality start. You have to pick and choose your spots with Williams in FantasyScore ($3,200; 6.4% of cap), but he proved Tuesday he can still be useful.
