Fantasy Tip: Asche ($2,000, 4.0% of cap), who is hitting .271 (23-for-85) with two home runs and four RBI could eventually wind up in the heart of the order if Utley continues to tank at the plate. Asche is more of a midrange third base option tonight against Miller, who dealt against the Phils earlier this year.

Philadelphia Phillies SS Freddy Galvis is hitting second in the batting order against Atlanta Braves SP Shelby Miller Tuesday, May 5. OF Odubel Herrera was dropped to sixth in the lineup as a result, with OF Ben Revere leading off.
Fantasy Tip: Galvis ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) has been one of Philly's more consistent hitters this year (.349-1-8), and a move to the top of the order makes him more attractive to FantasyScore users. However, he remains a sleeper play and doesn't have much power to speak of.

Philadelphia Phillies 2B Chase Utley is likely to sit out both Tuesday, May 5, and Wednesday, May 6, which would give him three straight days off with an off day Thursday, May 7, according to manager Ryne Sandberg.
Fantasy Tip: There's no way you should have been starting Utley ($2,900, 5.8% of cap) at FantasyScore anyway, since he's hitting just .103 (9-for-87) with three home runs and 14 RBI on the season. Cesar Hernandez ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) is starting tonight at second and will likely be in there again tomorrow. He's a weak play for daily gamers, though.

Fantasy Tip: In two games against Atlanta, the team he pitched for in 2014, Harang has allowed one run and seven hits over 14 innings. Remember him in FantasyScore at $4,400 (or 8.8% of cap) next time Atlanta pops up on the schedule.

Philadelphia Phillies OF Jeff Francoeur had four hits while driving in a pair of runs Monday, May 4, against the Atlanta Braves, his original major league team. He entered the game after 19 straight at-bats without a hit.
Fantasy Tip: The hitless skid was the worst of his career, dropping his average to .169. However, his first four-hit game in three years raised his average back to .214. Despite the big game he is only recommended in FantasyScore at $1,900 (or 3.8% of cap) once this type of stat line becomes the rule, not the exception.
Mon, 04 May 2015 12:56:17 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Hernandez ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) has only hit .200 at the plate this season and only has three RBI. Owners on FantasyScore should be able to find better options to use.
Mon, 04 May 2015 12:55:24 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Asche ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) probably is not playing since the team is playing a left-handed pitcher. Cesar Hernandez ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) will be the starting third baseman but should not be a starting option on FantasyScore.
Mon, 04 May 2015 12:44:21 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Ruf ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) has struggled at the plate this season and is batting .186 but has picked up an RBI in each of his last two games. Owners on FantasyScore should be able to find better options to use.
Mon, 04 May 2015 12:43:45 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Howard ($2,600, 5.2% of cap) likely is sitting out since the team is facing a left-handed pitcher. Darin Ruf ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) will start at first base but is not a great option for FantasyScore.
Sun, 03 May 2015 07:44:22 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Hernandez ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) has a paltry .219 batting average in the early going. A switch-hitter, Cosart will go up against Marlins righty Jarred Cosart. Hernandez is hitting .125 off right-handers this season and has hit just .242 for his career. FantasyScore owners will need to look elsewhere.
Sun, 03 May 2015 07:38:54 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Ruf ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) has two home runs in 44 plate appearances so far this season, but he is striking out 27.3% of the time. Ruf is hitting just .138 off righties to this point, and he should be avoided on FantasyScore.
Sun, 03 May 2015 07:20:20 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Utley ($2,900, 5.8% of cap) is hitting just .115 through 89 plate appearances and has an OBP of just .191. While Utley's .091 BABIP will start to rebound eventually, FantasyScore owners should be staying away until it does.
Sun, 03 May 2015 07:04:14 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Gonzalez ($3,000, 6.0% of cap) allowed seven earned runs in two and two-thirds innings pitched in his first start of the season, but the 22-year-old will get at least one more chance. With the Marlins offense looking very impressive of late, FantasyScore owners should be staying away.
Sat, 02 May 2015 14:56:39 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Billingsley ($3,000, 6.0% of cap) may be worth looking into if his first start is all right, so keep an eye on how well he does once on the mound.
Sat, 02 May 2015 13:32:31 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Buchanan ($3,000, 6.0% of cap) should be dropped from all applicable leagues, as he will likely spend quite some time at Triple-A to develop more seasoning. An 0-5 record can only get you so far in the majors.
