Oakland Athletics C Josh Phegley is starting behind the plate and hitting eighth in the order Tuesday, May 26, against the Detroit Tigers. C Stephen Vogt will start at first base and 1B Max Muncy is out of the starting lineup.
Fantasy Tip: Phegley ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) is hitting .308 against left-handed pitchers this season, but David Price will pose a tough test. FantasyScore owners should look elsewhere.

Fantasy Tip: Butler ($3,600, 7.2% of cap) is 6-for-19 in his last four games, and he's hitting .303 against lefties on the season. David Price will pose a difficult test, but Butler is an intriguing GPP option while he's hot.

Fantasy Tip: Gray ($8,300, 16.6% of cap) should be fine for his next start. He has an ERA of just 1.77 this year and a WHIP of 1.00 with 61 strikeouts in 66 innings. He should remain a fantastic option for FantasyScore gamers moving forward.

Oakland Athletics OF Josh Reddick isn't in the starting lineup Tuesday, May 26, against the Detroit Tigers. OF Sam Fuld will move over to right field, with OF Mark Canha drawing the start in left field and batting sixth in the order.
Fantasy Tip: Canha ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) is hitting a paltry .081, with two singles and one double against left-handed pitchers this season. Canha should not be considered against Tigers LHP David Price.

Fantasy Tip: Doolittle won't immediately return to closing duties, however. The A's will ease him in in low-leverage situations, while Tyler Clippard continues to handle fireman duties in the short term. Both relievers need to be owned, and you may want to leave Doolittle on your bench until he gets a couple outings under his belt.

Oakland Athletics RP Sean Doolittle (shoulder) is expected to be activated from the disabled list for the game Tuesday, May 26. However, he isn't expected to return to the closer role immediately, and he'll be used in low-leverage spots early on.
Fantasy Tip: Doolittle should be owned everywhere, but be hesitant to return him to your active lineups until he has at least a few appearances under his belt. Tyler Clippard will continue to be useful for fantasy owners in the short term for saves. Once Doolittle returns to full-time closing duties, Clippard can be cut in shallow mixed leagues.

Fantasy Tip: Hahn ($4,600, 9.2% of cap) has been up and down to start the season, but he showed another flash of brilliance Monday, allowing just one walk and four hits, while striking out five over nine full innings. Hahn's FIP and xFIP and are both well below his 4.43 ERA, and they're should be some more dominant outings on the way.

Fantasy Tip: Owners should monitor the situation to see when Lawrie ($3,300, 6.6% of cap) will be able to return to the lineup. Muncy ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) has at least one hit in only four of his last 11 games and may not be a great option for owners on FantasyScore.
Mon, 25 May 2015 11:24:59 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Zobrist ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) will be eased into games following his prolonged absence. He should be avoided on FantasyScore until he shakes the rust off and starts producing consistently.
Mon, 25 May 2015 10:22:16 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Zobrist ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) could be eased back into the lineup and could also see more time in the outfield. Owners on FantasyScore may want to see how he does in a game or two before considering him as a starting option.
Mon, 25 May 2015 02:13:27 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Zobrist ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) usually plays at second base, but Eric Sogard is having a decent time there and left field seems to be a mess with Sam Fuld, Craig Gentry and Mark Canha all platooning. This may be the best way to get Zobrist some at-bats, but you may want to wait on those at-bats until he gets healthier.

Oakland Athletics SP Sonny Gray (ankle) was hit in the ankle with a grounder in the fourth inning in a 7-2 win over the Tampa Bay Rays Sunday, May 24, and exited a couple of innings later. X-Rays after the game were negative, and manager Bob Melvin doesn't expect Gray to miss his next start.
Fantasy Tip: Gray ($8,300, 16.6% of cap) owns a sparkling 1.77 ERA on the year, and assuming he does make his next scheduled start Friday, May 29, against the New York Yankees, he is worth starting at FantasyScore.
Sun, 24 May 2015 08:35:22 -0700
Oakland Athletics OF Mark Canha will start at first base and bat seventh in the order Sunday, May 24, against the Tampa Bay Rays. 1B Billy Butler will serve as the designated hitter and 1B Max Muncy will move to third base with 3B Brett Lawrie (undisclosed) out of the lineup.
Fantasy Tip: Canha ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) had a strong start to the season, but he hasn't had an extra-base hit since May 9. Canha can be avoided on FantasyScore.
Sat, 23 May 2015 17:33:16 -0700
Fantasy Tip: While Lawrie is sidelined, Max Muncy ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) should earn some extra playing time. Muncy has reached base in six straight games, scoring five runs and hitting two homers. He could make a decent source of cap relief at FantasyScore if he draws a friendly pitching matchup.
Sat, 23 May 2015 17:27:49 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Zobrist ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) hasn't played since April 24, and he may need a few games for his timing to come back. Take a wait-and-see approach with Zobrist at FantasyScore in his first game back.
