Fantasy Tip: With Zobrist out of Oakland, Eric Sogard ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) figures to return to an everyday role at the keystone. Mark Canha ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) and Jake Smolinski ($3,000, 6.0% of cap) should be expected to see more at-bats in left field, as well. None of these players carries value beyond the deepest of mixed leagues, however.

Fantasy Tip: It seems like a foregone conclusion that Zobrist ($4,600, 9.2% of cap) will be dealt this week. His fantasy value is unlikely to change all that much, but a move out of Oakland and pitcher-friendly O.Co Coliseum can't be a bad thing.

Fantasy Tip: The Athletics bullpen could be a mess down the stretch, but whomever emerges as the closer could be a decent addition in AL-only fantasy play.

Fantasy Tip: With Clippard out of the picture in Oakland, Edward Mujica is the speculative favorite to pitch the ninth inning, but Drew Pomeranz could also be in the mix if he's moved back to a relief role. Fernando Rodriguez probably has the best skill set to pitch the ninth, but it's unclear if he'll be in the mix. Mujica has the experience over the others, but the A's could also use a committee approach from here on out. Target Mujica first if you're looking for saves, but expect this situation to be quite messy for fantasy owners.

Fantasy Tip: The A's have no reason to rush Crisp ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) back, and he's one setback away from retirement. Even when he's healthy, Crisp might have a tough time finding his way into the lineup in the second half with the emergence of leadoff man and center fielder Billy Burns. Crisp should only be stashed away in the deepest of leagues.

Oakland Athletics 2B Ben Zobrist is a trade target for several of the teams looking to compete for a playoff spot. The Pittsburgh Pirates, Kansas City Royals, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, New York Yankees and Chicago Cubs are among the teams that are pursing Zobrist.
Fantasy Tip: Zobrist ($4,700, 9.4% of cap) likely is a hot commodity because of his ability to play multiple positions. He could be a starting option for most of the teams interested in him and his fantasy value should be similar no matter where he plays after the trade deadline.
Mon, 27 Jul 2015 05:23:25 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Pick up Pomeranz in anticipation of Clippard's deal. Clippard may lose most of his fantasy value because he'll probably land on a team as a setup man.

Oakland Athletics SP Kendall Graveman allowed four runs on seven hits in 1 1/3 innings in a loss to the San Francisco Giants Sunday, July 26, and he has allowed at least four runs in three straight starts.
Fantasy Tip: Graveman ($6,400, 12.8% of cap) has seen his ERA rise from 3.16 to 4.13 over his last three starts, and he has allowed four home runs. After a solid run of quality starts, Graveman is slumping, and he needs to be avoided at FantasyScore until he turns things around.
Sun, 26 Jul 2015 12:49:53 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Reddick ($4,700, 9.4% of cap) is hitting .319 versus righties this season and .313 over the past week, making this a favorable matchup for him.
Sun, 26 Jul 2015 12:18:58 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Vogt ($4,900, 9.8% of cap) is only batting .197 with one home run and five RBIs this month and should be avoided in FantasyScore until he shows signs of turning things around offensively.
Sun, 26 Jul 2015 12:15:32 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Burns ($4,600, 9.2% of cap) was not in the starting lineup Saturday, July 25, but went 1-for-2 after entering the game as a pinch hitter in the seventh inning. He is 7-for-16 (.438) over the past week, so he warrants consideration for your FantasyScore lineup.

Oakland Athletics 2B Eric Sogard will bat seventh against San Francisco Giants SP Tim Hudson Sunday, July 26. INF/OF Ben Zobrist, who started at second base Saturday, July 25, will bat third and play left field Sunday.
Fantasy Tip: Sogard ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) is only batting .185 during the month of July and is not a great starting option at the keystone position in FantasyScore.
Sun, 26 Jul 2015 11:38:09 -0700
Fantasy Tip: With the A's playing an interleague series at a National League park this weekend, Davis ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) and Butler ($4,300, 8.6% of cap) had both taken turns riding the pine over the last few days. Davis is 7-for-24 (.292) with two doubles in his career versus Hudson and is worth considering in FantasyScore if you need an inexpensive option at first base.
Sat, 25 Jul 2015 12:08:42 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Smolinski ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) is 7-for-17 (.412) this month with two home runs and seven RBIs and is hitting 110 points better against lefties than righties this season. Given his recent production combined with his spot in the batting order, he could be a decent FantasyScore sleeper pick this afternoon.
Sat, 25 Jul 2015 11:55:37 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Phegley ($3,300, 6.6% of cap) is batting .250 with one home run and seven RBIs this month and is hitting .319 versus southpaws this year. However, a game versus one of baseball's most dominant pitchers makes this a less-than-desirable matchup for Phegley, so he should be avoided in FantasyScore today.
