Fantasy Tip: Davis is having a solid start to the season and is worth monitoring for FantasyScore usage.

Fantasy Tip: Kazmir ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) had his turn skipped and could take his next one Friday, June 5, against the Boston Red Sox. Give him a start to work out the kinks before consideration on FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: Vogt ($5,300, 10.6% of cap) is having a career year, and if you want to pay up for a catcher at FantasyScore, he is one of the best options.

Oakland Athletics 2B Ben Zobrist is starting in left field and batting seventh against the New York Yankees Sunday, May 31, with INF Eric Sogard playing second base. OF/1B Mark Canha is getting the day off.
Fantasy Tip: Zobrist ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) is 4-for-16 in five games since returning from the disabled list. Sogard ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) is a low-end second base option in FantasyScore who offers little else besides salary cap relief.

Fantasy Tip: Burns ($3,400, 6.8% of cap) has started in center field and lead off in 13 of the last 14 games, as he appears locked into the role. During the stretch, he is 19-for-58 with nine runs and five stolen bases, and Burns projects to continue to yield a solid three-category return going forward. He should be owned in the majority of leagues, especially with his stolen base upside. Currently, he is a nice bargain at FantasyScore, too.

Fantasy Tip: Hahn ($4,700, 9.4% of cap) followed up his four-hit shutout Monday, May 25, with a loss where he allowed four runs -- three earned -- Saturday, May 30. Given his unluckiness and 3.28 FIP, there are likely clearer skies ahead for Hahn. Don't count him out yet in deep mixed and FantasyScore contests, although, it isn't out of the question to be a little conservative and sit him in tough matchups.

Fantasy Tip: Sogard ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) isn't much of a play on FantasyScore.

Oakland Athletics RP Sean Doolittle (shoulder) was placed on the 15-day disabled list due to a strained left shoulder Saturday, May 30. Doolittle looked uncomfortable playing catch and missed pitcher's fielding practice this weekend. RP Tyler Clippard will continue closing games.
Fantasy Tip: Clippard's seat cools a bit, and he should be owned in leagues where saves are relevant.

Oakland Athletics SP Sonny Gray struck out five, walked two and allowed four hits and two runs Friday, May 29, as the Athletics won 6-2 over the New York Yankees. Gray retired 11 batters at one point.
Fantasy Tip: Gray ($8,300, 16.6% of cap) was hit in his ankle by a line drive in the previous start, but he showed no ill effects from it during this game. Gray maintains his status as a must start every time he takes the mound.

Fantasy Tip: Owners should monitor the situation to see if Crisp ($3,500, 7.0% of cap) will be able to play again this season. Sam Fuld ($2,500, 5.0% of cap) could see regular playing time with Crisp sidelined but is not a great option on FantasyScore since he is hitting only .195 on the season.

Oakland Athletics SP A.J. Griffin (shoulder, elbow) is scheduled to make a rehab start for high-Class A Stockton Tuesday, June 2. He is scheduled to pitch three innings or throw 45 pitches in the game.
Fantasy Tip: Griffin likely will need to make several rehab starts so he can build up his arm for longer starts. Owners should monitor his progress during his rehab assignment and could consider him in AL-only and deeper leagues when he is ready to return.

Fantasy Tip: Pomeranz ($3,700, 7.4% of cap) as a 4.40 ERA and 6.7 K/9 in 43 innings over eight starts this year. Don't feel the need to hang onto him while he's rehabbing in shallow mixed formats. Upon his return, a healthy Pomeranz can be a cheap matchup play on FantasyScore.

Oakland Athletics C Josh Phegley and OF Mark Canha are both starting again against a left-handed pitcher Friday, May 29. Phegley is catching and hitting eighth in the batting order, while Canha is starting in left field and hitting ninth against New York Yankees SP Chris Capuano.
Fantasy Tip: The matchup tonight against Capuano is a good one for both Phegley ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) and Canha ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) to return great value on FantasyScore. Phegley has an OPS of .809 with his lone homer against southpaws in 32 at-bats. Canha is a bit more of a reach at a more expensive price, as he's hitting only .116 (5-for-43) with no homers and three RBI against lefties in 2015.

Updating previous reports, Oakland Athletics OF Coco Crisp (neck) would be forced to retire if he's unable to avoid neck surgery. He's going to receive an epidural Friday, May 29, and be shut down for a month.
Fantasy Tip: With him being idle until the end of June, he's unlikely to be back before the All-Star break. Only DL him in single-universe leagues.

Updating a previous report, Oakland Athletics SP Scott Kazmir (shoulder) will be skipped in the rotation after he dealt with tightness in his sore shoulder in his last outing. However, an MRI exam showed no structural damage in his left shoulder. "We're looking at him miss just one start," manager Bob Melvin told reporters. "The MRI showed just a bit of a weak shoulder.
Fantasy Tip: Kazmir ($6,800, 13.6% of cap), who has dealt with a number of arm injuries in his career before, looks to have dodged a bullet. However, after missing a turn in the rotation, he won't be a very safe play in his initial start back on FantasyScore.
