Yankees | Unsure about bringing back free agents The Hartford Courant's Dom Amore reports the New York Yankees are still not sure about whether they will bring back OF Johnny Damon, DH Hideki Matsui and SP Andy Pettitte, who are all eligible for free agency. Yankees | A-Rod wins Game 4 The Associated Press reports New York Yankees 3B Alex Rodriguez hit a go-ahead two-out double in the top of the ninth inning Sunday, Nov. 1, to win Game 4 of the World Series. Yankees | Swisher using new batting stance FOXSports.com's Ken Rosenthal reports that New York Yankees OF Nick Swisher used a new batting stance in Game 3 of the World Series. He spread his legs further apart in the batter's box and went 2-for-4, after having collected only four hits through his first 35 postseason at-bats. Hitting coach Kevin Long said Swisher had been using the new stance in the batting cage and during batting practice over the last few days, taking 300 swings from each side of the plate. "It's a major change," Long said of the new hitting approach. "To get comfortable with it usually takes time." Long added that he and Swisher would continue working on his stance during the offseason, since they both live in Scottsdale, Ariz.
