Fantasy Tip: Beltran has five multi-hit efforts over his last eight games and is batting a solid .305 with 21 homers and 63 RBI this season. He's a must-start in almost all regular fantasy leagues and is obviously a pretty good bet every time he suits up in DFS formats as well.

New York Yankees SP Nathan Eovaldi continued his resurgence since rejoining the rotation in a victory over the San Francisco Giants on Sunday, July 24, allowing two hits and striking out six over 6 2/3 innings.
Fantasy Tip: Eovaldi posted a 0-4 record and 9.20 ERA over a six-start stretch from June 3 to July 1, leading to a swift demotion to the bullpen. The 26-year-old turned in three scoreless efforts as a reliever and defeated the Baltimore Orioles in his return to the rotation on July 19. It might be a good time to see if Eovaldi's owner bailed on him during his rough stretch; he's well worth a speculative add as a fairly high-end back-of-the-rotation fantasy starter when he is on his game like he is now.

Fantasy Tip: Don't expect this to become a regular occurrence. Dellin Betances, Andrew Miller and Aroldis Chapman each had worked at least the last two days, so manager Joe Girardi opted to turn to his 25-year-old rookie to protect a three-run lead against one of the NL's top teams. Despite his fine work on Sunday, Green is obviously not on the fantasy radar outside of AL-only leagues at the moment.

Fantasy Tip: There is very limited fantasy value with both Rodriguez and Hicks, as they own a .619 and .544 OPS, respectively. They're both strictly depth options in cavernous mixed and AL-only leagues, and Hicks is a desperation start in daily contests Sunday.

Fantasy Tip: Chapman is going to be an elite fantasy closer wherever he pitches, but a deal would significantly boost Miller's value. Do a quick check to see if Miller is available in your league.

Fantasy Tip: Nova is having a great July, and he has allowed just one run in three of his four starts. His overall numbers remain ugly, but he is worth grabbing in AL-only formats.

New York Yankees OF Jacoby Ellsbury, C Brian McCann, SS Didi Gregorius and 1B Mark Teixeira will start against San Francisco Giants SP Johnny Cueto Saturday, July 23. Ellsbury will bat second, McCann willbat fourth, Gregorius will bat sixth and Teixeira will bat seventh.
Fantasy Tip: It makes sense that Joe Girardi wants all of his normal left-handed batters in the lineup against hard-throwing right hander Johnny Cueto. Ellsbury and McCann are probably the better bets for daily lineups, especially McCann, who has three homers and four runs batted in in 10 career at-bats against Cueto.

Fantasy Tip: Headley missed the last two games for personal reasons. His modest contributions (.251-9-30) play better in cavernous mixed and AL-only leagues, and he should be avoided in DFS against the MadBum tonight.

New York Yankees OF Jacoby Ellsbury, 1B Mark Teixeira, C Brian McCann and SS Didi Gregorius are out of the starting lineup against San Francisco Giants left-handed SP Madison Bumgarner Friday, July 22. OF Aaron Hicks is in center field and hitting eighth, 2B Rob Refsnyder is at second and batting sixth, C Austin Romine is behind the dish and hitting seventh and 2B Ronald Torreyes is at the 6 and batting ninth. Also, 2B Starlin Castro moves up to the two-hole.
Fantasy Tip: All four players sitting are left-handed, which makes since with MadBum being one of the tougher southpaws in the league. None of Hicks, Refsnyder, Romine or Torreyes should be anything more than desperation daily stabs in the tough matchup. Castro, however, might be a contrarian play with the move up the batting order given the fact he's also been swinging a hot stick.

Fantasy Tip: Parker has some power upside and could be a viable low-priced flier in daily contests Friday. He's posted a .536 slugging percentage over 174 career plate appearances and should be owned in all cavernous mixed and NL-only leagues at this point.
Thu, 21 Jul 2016 15:22:56 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Sabathia has seen his ERA balloon from 2.20 to 4.04 over his past six starts, as he's allowed 31 runs -- 29 earned -- through 35 innings. At this point, Sabathia can't be started with confidence, and he shouldn't be owned outside of cavernous mixed and AL-only leagues.

Fantasy Tip: A-Rod has struggled all year, but he is hitting .368 with five homers in 19 career at-bats against Chris Tillman. He's worth a speculative flyer today. Torreyes is hitting just .224 and warrants little consideration.

Fantasy Tip: Pineda had his best outing of the year by far Wednesday, snapping a personal three-game losing streak while making his first appearance this season without allowing a run. He should still be viewed as a shaky pitching option for his next scheduled start against the Houston Astros Monday, July 25.
Wed, 20 Jul 2016 14:35:04 -0700
New York Yankees 3B Chase Headley has been excused from the lineup Wednesday, July 20, for personal reasons. He'll be with the team Wednesday, though. 2B Ronald Torreyes is starting at third base in Headley's absence.
Fantasy Tip: Headley doesn't do anything particularly well in any one category with a .252 average, nine home runs and 30 RBI, so you should only employ him in AL-only leagues. Torreyes is hitting just .219 with no homers and five RBI in 64 at-bats and has zero fantasy upside.
Wed, 20 Jul 2016 12:42:50 -0700
Fantasy Tip: It's been a nightmare season for Teixeira, as the 36-year-old veteran sits with 22 runs, seven home runs, 20 RBI and a .186/.263/.305 slash line. Those numbers don't warrant a roster spot outside of cavernous mixed and AL-only leagues. After missing the past three games, he's a weak option in daily contests Wednesday, too.
