Arizona Cardinals RB Andre Ellington (foot) has seen improvement with his foot injury, although he is still not at 100 percent. However, he is able to practice more, and he was a limited participant Wednesday, Oct. 1.
Fantasy Tip: Ellington has played through the pain of his injury to this point, and he has had two weeks to rest. So barring any type of setback he should be ready to go in Week 5.

Arizona Cardinals OG Paul Fanaika (knee), LB Alex Okafor (thihg), DE Frostee Rucker (calf) and P Dave Zastudil (groin) were each listed as limited participants for practice Wednesday, Oct. 1. TE Rob Housler (hip) was able to take part in a full practice.

Updating a previous report, Arizona Cardinals QB Carson Palmer (shoulder) isn't being ruled out for Week 5 against the Denver Broncos by head coach Bruce Arians. Arians said Palmer is doubtful to return to practice Thursday, Oct. 2, but if he can return Friday, Oct. 3, there's a chance he can start against the Broncos. If Palmer doesn't practice Friday, QB Drew Stanton would receive his third straight start. After throwing for two days last week, Palmer's shoulder regressed. The team is treating his injury week-to-week, and the team isn't close to considering putting him on the short-term Reserve/Injured list.
Fantasy Tip: Palmer is a very dicey FantasyScore option this weekend. Drew Stanton could surprise against Denver's secondary if you're looking to save money for other positions.

Arizona Cardinals QB Carson Palmer (shoulder) was excused from practice Wednesday, Oct. 1, in order to see another specialist regarding the nerve issue in his shoulder, according to head coach Bruce Arians. "He threw a bunch last Thursday and Friday and then regressed," Arians said.
Fantasy Tip: It's not looking good for Palmer to return in Week 5 against the Denver Broncos. That means Drew Stanton will likely receive another start. Stanton ($5,000) is cheap at FantasyScore, and although the Broncos have been vulnerable through the air, better options are out there.

Fantasy Tip: Palmer ($7,100; 14.2% of your cap) is reasonably priced on FantasyScore this week if he's healthy. However, rushing him back to play in the thin air in Denver may not happen.

Arizona Cardinals QB Carson Palmer's (shoulder) status for Week 5 will depend on if he is able to participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 1, and Thursday, Oct. 2, according to head coach Bruce Arians. Palmer probably will play if he is able to practice Wednesday.
Fantasy Tip: Owners will need to monitor his practice participation this week, but there is no guarantee he will be able to play. Owners probably should avoid using Palmer until he has recovered from his injury. Drew Stanton would start if Palmer misses the game, but owners probably have better options to use.

Arizona Cardinals FS Tony Jefferson made a series of big plays in the Week 3 win against the San Francisco 49ers. He has replaced LB Kevin Minter in the nickel packages. In fact, Jefferson has played so well, FS Tyrann Mathieu (knee) might have a hard time getting his job back when healthy.
