Cardinals | David Johnson with lofty goals

Thu, 17 May 2018 07:54:41 -0700

Arizona Cardinals RB David Johnson (wrist) said his wrist feels great, and he's aiming for 1,000 rushing yards and 1,000 receiving yards.

Fantasy Tip: The team will be deploying a fullback this year, which will give him an added layer of protection. They'll have to prove that they can move the ball downfield to keep defenses honest, though. Sam Bradford throws a ton of short passes, and DJ should be an RB1 as long as he's healthy.

Cardinals | Christian Kirk was arrested

Mon, 14 May 2018 16:14:36 -0700

Arizona Cardinals WR Christian Kirk was arrested in February and charged with criminal damage for allegedly throwing rocks at cars while intoxicated. The case is pending and a Cardinals spokesman said the team is aware of the incident and spoke with Kirk at length about it. "Our understanding is that the process will be resolved in the near future, but while it remains an active legal matter, we won't comment further.

Fantasy Tip: A severe punishment is unlikely for Kirk. Arizona knew Kirk had been arrested when they drafted him, so they obviously weren't scared off enough to not draft him. Kirk can be one of the more impactful rookies in this year's class, but he's not deserving of being drafted as better than a WR4 in PPR leagues.

Cardinals | Sam Bradford still the starter

Fri, 11 May 2018 19:25:58 -0700

Arizona Cardinals QB Sam Bradford is the starting quarterback, head coach Steve Wilks said Friday, May 11, but Wilks added that he wouldn't hold back QB Josh Rosen.

Fantasy Tip: Wilks simply reiterated what he said when the Cardinals drafted Rosen. Bradford will likely open the year as the starter, and he can be a solid QB2 as long as he is healthy and running the show. Rosen's value is limited to dynasty formats for now.

Cardinals | Josh Rosen a quick study

Fri, 11 May 2018 18:54:31 -0700

Arizona Cardinals QB Josh Rosen settled down after showing some early nerves during the first day of rookie minicamp Friday, May 11, according to head coach Steve Wilks, and Wilks said Rosen is already showing an understanding of the playbook. "The guy is extremely smart," Wilks said.

Fantasy Tip: With the fragile Sam Bradford ahead of him on the depth chart, Rosen could have a chance to start as soon as this season. He doesn't need to be selected in redraft leagues at this point, but he should be owned in dynasty formats.
