Thu, 18 Sep 2014 10:44:50 -0700

Arizona Cardinals RB Jonathan Dwyer head-butted his wife and broke her nose after she refused his sexual advances, and he punched her in the face the next day, according to police. Dwyer was arrested on aggravated assault charges and was deactivated from all team activities. He spent a night in jail and appeared in court before being released Thursday, Sept. 18. Dwyer's wife left the state but came forward to authorities a week ago after Dwyer sent suicidal text message, including a picture of a knife. Cardinals | Carson Palmer limited in practice

Wed, 17 Sep 2014 18:12:02 -0700

Arizona Cardinals QB Carson Palmer (shoulder) was listed as a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Sept. 17.

Fantasy Tip: Palmer did not start in Week 2, with Drew Stanton getting the nod in his stead. If Palmer is unable to suit up this week, Stanton could be a sneaky sleeper for players of FantasyScore in Week 3.

Cardinals | Andre Ellington rests injury

Wed, 17 Sep 2014 18:11:35 -0700

Arizona Cardinals RB Andre Ellington (foot) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 17.

Fantasy Tip: Ellington has been resting his foot during mid-week practices so far this season, but he has to miss any practice time. The team will want to be especially careful with his health with the uncertainty of Jonathan Dwyer and his legal situation, so don't expect Ellington to push it too terrible hard in practice. However, Ellington should be fine for game day.

The team was made aware of allegations by the Phoenix police and are cooperating fully with authorities. The team plans to closely monitor the situation as it develops and evaluate additional information as it becomes available.

Cardinals | Drew Stanton in line to start for Cards

Wed, 17 Sep 2014 16:51:06 -0700

Arizona Cardinals QB Drew Stanton is in line to start his second straight game against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 3 with QB Carson Palmer (shoulder) sidelined. "It hasn't changed today," head coach Bruce Arians said. "We'll be status quo with Drew as the starter, Logan as the backup and we'll still be waiting on Carson."

Fantasy Tip: There is no timetable for Palmer to return as the starter, so you can forget about him at FantasyScore. Stanton isn't a smart option, either, even at $4,200 (8.4% of cap).

Cardinals | Foot still bothers Andre Ellington

Tue, 16 Sep 2014 23:28:19 -0700

Arizona Cardinals RB Andre Ellington (foot) has soreness in his left foot but it has gone down considerably from a week ago. Cardinals coach Bruce Arians hopes Ellington can practice Thursday, Sept. 18 and Friday, Sept. 19 before the game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Fantasy Tip: Considering Ellington ran for over 100 yards against the New York Giants last week, he looked pretty good on the field. Still, foot issues can be a game-time problem if they flare up, so keep an eye on him.

Cardinals | Carson Palmer could be out a while

Tue, 16 Sep 2014 19:56:56 -0700

Arizona Cardinals QB Carson Palmer's (shoulder) timetable to return from a nerve injury in his shoulder could vary greatly, according to head coach Bruce Arians. "It takes some time," Arians said. "Could be a day, could be a month."

Fantasy Tip: While there is still a chance that Palmer could play in Week 3, it looks like there is also a chance he could miss some extended time. Either way, you should avoid Palmer in FantasyScore until his shoulder is fully healthy.

Cardinals | Carson Palmer to receive medical advice

Tue, 16 Sep 2014 18:27:20 -0700

Arizona Cardinals QB Carson Palmer (shoulder) will receive medical opinions on how to accelerate the healing process of the injured nerve in his shoulder, according to head coach Bruce Arians.

Fantasy Tip: Palmer still hasn't been ruled out for the team's Week 3 game, but it sounds like his shoulder would have to improve significantly for him to have a shot at playing. Unless there is some positive news in the next couple of days, Palmer should be avoided in FantasyScore in Week 3.

Tue, 16 Sep 2014 11:00:02 -0700

Updating previous reports, Arizona Cardinals QB Carson Palmer (shoulder) doesn't have a timetable for his return from a nerve injury in his shoulder, according to general manager John Keim, and he'll be listed as day-to-day for now.

Fantasy Tip: It sounds almost certain that he won't be able to play in Week 3 against the San Francisco 49ers, but you can't rule it out until Sunday. Play it safe and avoid him at FantasyScore this week.
