Arizona Cardinals WR Brittan Golden might be in the mix for targets and a significant role on offense if WR John Brown (illness) and/or WR Michael Floyd (hamstring) are inactive or limited in the Week 8 game against the Carolina Panthers.
Fantasy Tip: Even if Golden is able to work in the No. 3 or 4 receiver spot for the Cardinals, his fantasy appeal is rather limited.

Arizona Cardinals WR JJ Nelson has made progress since being limited with early-season injuries, and he had four touches for 39 yards in the Week 6 game against the New York Jets and two runs for 23 yards and three grabs for 84 yards in Week 7 against the Seattle Seahawks.
Fantasy Tip: Nelson might have a bigger role with John Brown dealing with an illness and Michael Floyd nursing a hamstring injury. If Brown and Floyd are inactive, Nelson would be worth a look in fantasy leagues of 14 or more teams.

Updating a previous report, Arizona Cardinals WR Michael Floyd (hamstring) missed practice Wednesday, Oct. 26, and head coach Bruce Arians indicated with Floyd and WR John Brown (illness) that "there's a possibility" one of the receivers misses the Week 8 game against the Carolina Panthers.
Fantasy Tip: Floyd should be avoided in Week 8, even if he can play, as his production has been down and he just isn't racking up the targets like fantasy owners would like to see.

Arizona Cardinals RB Chris Johnson (groin) said Wednesday, Oct. 26, that he is ahead of schedule in his rehab from a groin injury. However, he is uncertain if Johnson or SS Tyvon Branch (hernia) will be the player who returns from the Reserve/Injured Designated to Return list.
Fantasy Tip: CJ2K might be back at some point, but fantasy owners would only want to use him if David Johnson goes down with a long-term injury and Chris Johnson can prove his health in a full game without any setbacks.

Arizona Cardinals TE Darren Fells (ankle), LB Alex Okafor (calf), CB Patrick Peterson (ribs), DT Ed Stinson (toe) and OT Jared Veldheer (finger) did not participate Wednesday, Oct. 26. CB Justin Bethel (foot), CB Marcus Cooper (foot), OG Mike Iupati (ankle) and LB Gabe Martin (knee) were limited during practice.

Fantasy Tip: Palmer likely is taking things easy at this point and should be able to play against the Carolina Panthers in Week 8. He has thrown for at least 287 yards in four of his last five games but has only two touchdown passes in his last four games. Palmer can still be considered a low-end No. 1 quarterback in most leagues.

Fantasy Tip: Brown has a chance to play in Week 8 if he does not have setbacks during practice this week. He has been targeted at least seven times in three of the last four games and should have a solid role in the passing game if he plays. He could be a No. 3 receiver for owners if he is able to play.

Fantasy Tip: Owners will need to check on Floyd's status later in the week to see if he will be able to play. He has been a bit inconsistent this season but does have three touchdowns in seven games. He could be a No. 3 receiver or a flex option if he is active for the game.

Arizona Cardinals WR John Brown (hamstring) could return to practice as early as Wednesday, Oct. 26, according to head coach Bruce Arians. Brown missed the team's Week 7 game after being diagnosed with the sickle-cell trait, but Arians indicated he should be "fine" by Wednesday and hopes to have Brown available in Week 8.
Fantasy Tip: Brown performed well in three of his previous four games and could be in for a tasty matchup against a Carolina Panthers secondary that has had more than its share of problems this season. Keep an eye on his condition as the week progresses.

Arizona Cardinals LB Alex Okafor (calf) will not play in the team's Week 8 game against the Carolina Panthers, according to head coach Bruce Arians, and could miss additional time with a strained calf.

Fantasy Tip: Floyd has three touchdowns to his name this year, but he hasn't been as heavily as involved as expected before the season started. He hasn't surpassed five catches or 65 yards in any of the six games he's played. It may be inconvenient to bench him, but he's not a reliable starter right now.

Fantasy Tip: Brown wasn't much more than just a deep threat when Arizona's top three receivers were healthy. The loss of Brown could mean more looks for J.J. Nelson and Brittan Golden. Nelson is primarily a deep threat, too. Larry Fitzgerald, John Brown and Michael Floyd will continue to see most of the targets, though, so don't trip over your leaguemates on your way to claim either Nelson or Golden.
