Minnesota Twins 1B Joe Mauer has a career slash line of .378/.439/.649 with two home runs and four doubles in 37 at-bats against Seattle Mariners SP Felix Hernandez. OF Torii Hunter also sports a career average of .320 against Hernandez in 75 at-bats.
Fantasy Tip: Both Mauer ($2,500, 5.0% of cap) and Hunter ($2,500, 5.0% of cap) are against-the-grain FantasyScore plays to get a leg up on your competiton.

Seattle Mariners SP Felix Hernandez, who is 2-0 with a 2.37 ERA this year, is 7-5 with a 2.08 ERA in 16 career outings against the Minnesota Twins, including 3-0 with a 0.79 ERA in four starts against them in the last three years. He is 4-2 with a 1.47 ERA in nine starts against the Twins in Seattle.
Fantasy Tip: Hernandez ($9,300, 18.6% of cap) is a no-brainer at FantasyScore, despite the high salary, against one of the league's weakest hitting teams.

Minnesota Twins OF Jordan Schafer is not in the starting lineup against Kansas City Royals left-handed SP Jason Vargas Tuesday, April 21. OF Shane Robinson is starting in center field and hitting ninth in the batting order.
Fantasy Tip: Robinson ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) has very little FantasyScore appeal with his weak stick, especially at the bottom of a poor Twins lineup. Avoid him in your daily lineups against the Royals.

Minnesota Twins SP Phil Hughes (finger) reported no issues with his cracked fingernail on his right middle finger while playing catch Monday, April 20. He remains on track to face the Seattle Mariners Friday, April 24.
Fantasy Tip: Hughes ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) is off to a slow start in 2015 after a career year in 2014. He is 0-3 with a 5.30 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 13 strikeouts in 18 2/3 innings. The Mariners haven't exactly played very well to begin the season, either, but Hughes should be considered a low-end FantasyScore starter later this week.
Mon, 20 Apr 2015 14:31:56 -0700
Minnesota Twins SP Kyle Gibson is 4-0 with a 1.38 ERA in 26 career innings over four starts against the Kansas City Royals. Gibson allowed just one run over 6 2/3 innings to beat the Royals last Wednesday.
Fantasy Tip: Gibson ($4,000, 8.0% of cap) is a midrange starting pitcher option at FantasyScore Monday evening. His history against KC is a positive, but the Royals have been so hot out of the gate offensively that it would make sense to avoid him.
Mon, 20 Apr 2015 14:09:35 -0700
Minnesota Twins 1B Kennys Vargas is not in the starting lineup Monday, April 20. SS Eduardo Escobar is serving as the designated hitter and hitting sixth in the batting order against Kansas City Royals SP Edinson Volquez.
Fantasy Tip: Escobar ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) should be avoided at FantasyScore this evening. Volquez is off to a fine start with his new club, going 1-1 with a 2.30 ERA and 12 strikeouts in 15 2/3 innings.
Sun, 19 Apr 2015 14:12:53 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Nolasco ($3,000, 6.0% of cap) has a low salary but hasn't been effective yet. Wait and see how he looks after returning to the roster before spending some cash on him.
Sun, 19 Apr 2015 10:35:53 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Escobar ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) is not off to a good start in 2015 with only three hits in 21 at-bats. Owners on FantasyScore should be able to find better options to use.
Sun, 19 Apr 2015 10:27:10 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Santana ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) should return to the lineup when the team plays their next game. Eduardo Escobar ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) will start at shortstop but probably should not be a starting option on FantasyScore.
Fri, 17 Apr 2015 13:54:31 -0700
Minnesota Twins C Kurt Suzuki is not in the starting lineup Friday, April 17. C Chris Herrmann is starting behind the plate and hitting eighth in the batting order against Cleveland Indians SP Corey Kluber.
Fantasy Tip: Herrmann ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) should be avoided in all daily games tonight while facing a tough matchup in Kluber.
Fri, 17 Apr 2015 13:51:03 -0700
Minnesota Twins OF Torii Hunter is sitting the bench against the Cleveland Indians Friday, April 17. SS Eduardo Escobar is starting in left field and hitting second in the batting order against Indians SP Corey Kluber.
Fantasy Tip: Escobar ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) benefits from hitting at the top of the Minnesota lineup, but we don't recommend using him at FantasyScore tonight while going up against the reigning AL Cy Young winner in Kluber.
Thu, 16 Apr 2015 21:24:03 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Mauer ($2,500, 5.0% of cap) had just a single RBI heading into Thursday's game, and he is still looking for his first extra-base hit on the year and has scored just one run. His total lack of power severely limits his upside, and Mauer isn't going to add much to a FantasyScore lineup.
Thu, 16 Apr 2015 09:15:22 -0700
Minnesota Twins OF Jordan Schafer is not in the starting lineup against Kansas City Royals left-handed SP Jason Vargas Thursday, April 16. OF Shane Robinson is starting in center field and hitting ninth in the batting order in his place.
Fantasy Tip: Robinson ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) isn't an offensive threat at all, really, so he should be ignored in all daily games. Hitting at the bottom of the Minnesota order shouldn't endear him at all to fantasy gamers.
Thu, 16 Apr 2015 08:59:58 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Nolasco ($3,000, 6.0% of your cap) hasn't been affective enough to consider on FantasyScore when he returns.
Thu, 16 Apr 2015 08:50:13 -0700
Minnesota Twins OF Oswaldo Arcia will likely sit out against left-handed pitchers, according to manager Paul Molitor. "I'd like to see his at bats pick up in terms of consistency," Molitor said. "The best chance to do that right now is against right-handers."
Fantasy Tip: Arcia ($2,900, 5.8% of your cap) has had a slow start, but he could be a low-end outfielder worth using on FantasyScore as the season progresses.
