Fantasy Tip: Sano ($5,800, 11.6% of cap) has eight homers and 24 RBI in August, and his power has been as impressive as advertised. He can make a great anchor to a lineup a FantasyScore right now.

Fantasy Tip: Perkins last appeared Sunday, Aug. 23, and it isn't out of the question for him to have another evening off Thursday, either. Continue to hold him in all formats. Kevin Jespen has pitched in five consecutive games, so if there is an available save opportunity Thursday, expect Trevor May or Casey Fien to receive a chance.

Fantasy Tip: Rosario ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) probably will be back in the lineup in the next game or two. Robinson ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) has at least one hit in six of the last seven games, but owners on FantasyScore should be able to find better options.

Minnesota Twins 1B Joe Mauer went 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI Wednesday, Aug. 26, against the Tampa Bay Rays. He is 4-for-5 with six RBIs this season with the bases loaded and less than two outs. He has now reached base in 28 of the past 29 games at Tropicana Field, and he has 46 hits in 114 at-bats (.404) all-time in St. Petersburg.
Fantasy Tip: Mauer ($3,400, 6.8% of cap) is a must-start in FantasyScore heading into Thursday's series finale against the Rays.

Fantasy Tip: Avoid Hicks ($4,100, 8.2% of cap) until he can officially return and prove his health in at least one full game without any setbacks.

Minnesota Twins RP Glen Perkins (back) was unavailable for the game Wednesday, Aug. 26, against the Tampa Bay Rays due to lower back spasms. "It's not going to be long," Perkins said. "It kind of locked up on me on Sunday. I think today we got over the hump."
Fantasy Tip: With Perkins sidelined it was Kevin Jepsen, formerly of the Rays, nailing down the save. He is worth adding in AL-only fantasy leagues as insurance for Perkins' owners.
Wed, 26 Aug 2015 22:28:03 -0700
Minnesota Twins SS Eduardo Escobar belted a pair of solo home runs in four at-bats Wednesday, Aug. 26, against the Tampa Bay Rays. He now has a career-high seven homers, and this was his first career multi-homer game in the majors.
Fantasy Tip: Escobar ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) has driven in six runs over his past five games. At a mid-level price he is a solid FantsayScore value.
Wed, 26 Aug 2015 13:58:04 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Suzuki ($3,700, 7.4% of cap) is hitting .279 in August with 11 RBI over 19 games. It isn't huge production, but it pushes the needle in AL-only, cavernous mixed and two-catcher leagues. Herrmann ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) owns a .530 OPS this season and draws Archer ($9,200, 18.4% of cap). The backstop is an ill-advised FantasyScore play Wednesday.
Wed, 26 Aug 2015 13:52:56 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Make sure to avoid Hunter ($4,200, 8.4% of cap) in all fantasy formats Wednesday, and it is worth noting, the veteran owns a disappointing .150/.224/.283 slash line over 29 games since the All-Star break. You should be aiming higher in all formats until Hunter turns it around. Robinson ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) draws a horrible matchup against Archer ($9,200, 18.4% of cap) Wednesday, and avoiding the outfielder at FantasyScore is advised.
Wed, 26 Aug 2015 13:46:26 -0700
Fantasy Tip: With Curt Casali ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) on the disabled list, Rivera ($3,000, 6.0% of cap) and J.P. Arencibia will likely split starts behind the plate. FantasyScore players could take a speculative swing with Rivera Wednesday, but he is truly nothing more than a dice roll due to his .510 OPS over 289 at-bats this year. Arencibia owns power potential, but he also comes with a .231 on-base percentage over his past 201 games in the majors. Arencibia is a desperation add in AL-only and cavernous mixed leagues, if your hunting for home runs.
Wed, 26 Aug 2015 13:29:38 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Jennings ($3,700, 7.4% of cap) is day-to-day with a knee injury, so Nava ($2,200, 4.4% of cap) enters the lineup. It isn't a bad matchup, either, as Duffey ($4,400, 8.8% of cap) is making just his fourth career start Wednesday. Just note, while cheap at FantasyScore, Nava is having a dreadful season and owns a .161/.282/.183 slash line over 111 plate appearances.
Wed, 26 Aug 2015 11:06:43 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Sano ($5,800, 11.6% of cap) clobbered another home run last night, and his power potential is off the charts in his first major league season. He should be owned in all leagues, and he's a fine choice on FantasyScore whenever he's in the starting lineup.
Wed, 26 Aug 2015 09:05:09 -0700
Minnesota Twins SP Ervin Santana has allowed 31 earned runs in 30 1/3 innings in his last six starts after giving up five runs and eight hits in just 2 2/3 innings to the Tampa Bay Rays Tuesday, Aug. 25.
Fantasy Tip: Santana ($5,800, 11.6% of cap) has been a big disappointment to his owners this season after returning from a long suspension, and he shouldn't be trusted on FantasyScore until he shows better results.
Tue, 25 Aug 2015 19:49:31 -0700
Minnesota Twins SP Tommy Milone remains on track to make his scheduled start Thursday, Aug. 27, against the Tampa Bay Bays. He threw a light bullpen session Tuesday, Aug. 25, after working in the 12th inning Sunday, Aug. 23, for his first career save.
Fantasy Tip: Milone ($4,200, 8.4% of cap) was needed out of the bullpen, but it isn't a role you should get used to seeing him. FantasyScore players might want to shy away, though, as he could be slightly fatigued and out of sorts given the change to his routine.
Tue, 25 Aug 2015 19:48:50 -0700
Minnesota Twins OF Aaron Hicks (hamstring) has been running and hitting in the cages at Target Field, manager Paul Molitor said Tuesday, Aug. 25. The team is hopeful Hicks will be ready to return from the 15-day disabled list when eligible Thursday, Sept. 3.
Fantasy Tip: The switch-hitting Hicks ($4,100, 8.2% of cap) has tied a career high in homers, and he is just two short of a career best in RBIs while also remaining tied for a career high with nine steals. He has made strides this season, as is evidenced by his .729 OPS and career-high 101 total bases.
