Fantasy Tip: Buxton is now a post-hype prospect at this point after failing miserably in the major leagues in parts of two seasons. He's hitting just .195 with two home runs and four stolen bases in 187 plate appearances the last two years. He hasn't been able to translate his success in the minors to the highest level, but his intriguing power-speed combination remains. Give him a shot if he's available in your league. Perhaps the third time around is the charm.

Minnesota Twins 3B Trevor Plouffe (knee) and C Kurt Suzuki (head) are back in the starting lineup against Oakland Athletics SP Eric Surkamp Tuesday, May 31. Plouffe is hitting fifth and Suzuki is batting eighth.
Fantasy Tip: Suzuki avoided a trip to the 7-day concussion DL. He's a fantasy afterthought while hitting only .200 (19-for-95) with one home run and 10 RBI. Plouffe is a midrange fantasy starter at third base in deeper mixed leagues. He's sporting a .246 average with three home runs and 11 RBI.

Fantasy Tip: The fact Plouffe was used as a runner is a good sign his knee is sound. Wait to see him make it through a full game before trusting him in your active fantasy lineup and in DFS play.

Fantasy Tip: Hughes has been atrocious this season, and he isn't worth hanging onto in most fantasy formats at this point. DFS players need not bother with him anymore, either.

Fantasy Tip: Danny Santana (hamstring) had to be placed on the disabled list after leaving Monday's game, so the mega prospect will get his second shot this year with the big league club. Although Buxton disappointed mightily the first time around with a poor .156/.208/.289 line, his potential is too monumental to ignore. Owners should be running to the waiver wire for his services in just about all formats.

Fantasy Tip: Santana injured his left hamstring and had to leave Monday's contest, hence why he's going to the disabled list. In his place, the team is expected to bring back up Byron Buxton, who may have disappointed in his first stint with the team this year but is absolutely worth stashing in most leagues for his significant potential.

Fantasy Tip: Buxton flamed out with Minnesota earlier this season, but he posted a .333/.402/.605 slash line entering Monday with Rochester. He is an immediate grab in all fantasy formats because of his upside, but don't be surprised if there are some peaks and valleys again in the majors.

Minnesota Twins 1B Byung Ho Park is not in the starting lineup against Oakland Athletics SP Kendall Graveman Monday, May 30. OF Miguel Sano will serve as the designated hitter, while OF Oswaldo Arcia will start in right field and is batting sixth.
Fantasy Tip: Arcia has not received a lot of playing time over the last few weeks but does have three hits in his last two games. Owners in most leagues likely will be able to find better players to use in their lineups and can avoid Arcia.

Minnesota Twins 3B Trevor Plouffe (knee) and C Kurt Suzuki (head) are not in the starting lineup against Oakland Athletics SP Kendall Graveman Monday, May 30. SS Eduardo Nunez will start at third base and is batting first, while C Juan Centeno will start at catcher and is batting eighth. Manager Paul Molitor said Plouffe and Suzuki should be able to play Tuesday, May 31.
Fantasy Tip: Nunez has been very productive at the plate recently and has a .414 batting average with two home runs and three RBI over the last seven days. He should be a starting candidate in all daily fantasy leagues. Centeno has only one hit in his last 10 at-bats and can be avoided in all leagues.

Fantasy Tip: Kevin Jepsen continues to struggle filling in as the closer, so it makes sense to stash Perkins despite an unclear return date.
Sun, 29 May 2016 17:35:52 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Mauer has six homers on the year, and four have come in the last six games. The power surge is unlikely to continue, but a solid average should keep him owned in AL-only leagues and deeper formats.
Sun, 29 May 2016 17:31:18 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Sano continues to strike out at an alarming rate, but his power potential offsets his terrible average. Keep starting him in season-long leagues and consider using him in daily formats during his current power surge.

Minnesota Twins C Kurt Suzuki (head) is not in the starting lineup against Seattle Mariners SP Taijuan Walker Sunday, May 29. C Juan Centeno will start at catcher and is batting eighth in the lineup. Suzuki said he is feeling better but remains out.
Fantasy Tip: Centeno has gone hitless in each of his last four games and should be avoided in all leagues for now.
Sun, 29 May 2016 06:08:38 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Sano has powered up in May with seven home runs and 15 RBI. He remains a solid fantasy option because of his immense power potential and should be started with confidence in all setups. Just remember, Sano is going to be an anchor for your batting average and currently sits with a .234 mark.

Minnesota Twins C Kurt Suzuki (head) left the game in the third inning Saturday, May 28, because of concussion-like symptoms. The team said Suzuki passed the concussion protocol and is considered day-to-day.
Fantasy Tip: Suzuki is a non-factor outside of cavernous mixed, two-catcher and AL-only leagues, and he is even a poor option in those formats given his .200/.257/.284 slash line this season. Juan Centeno projects to handle backstop duty in the meantime, but he is nothing more than a desperation own and start in all fantasy formats.
