Fantasy Tip: Berrios is a top pitching prospect for the Twins, and he owns a 2.90 ERA with a 7.4 K/9 over 161 1/3 innings through two minor league stops this season. He is a stash candidate in deep keeper/dynasty formats, but he can be dropped in all one-year leagues.

Fantasy Tip: The injury hasn't impacted Sano ($5,800, 11.6% of cap) at the dish, as the rookie is 6-for-14 with a double and two home runs over his past four games. Although, it is a bit of a downer in the long run for his fantasy value, especially if the injury lingers. Continue to check back for updates, but for the time being don't be scared to keep Sano in your seasonal lineups. It is a different story at FantasyScore, though, and you should view the slugger as a risky buy while playing injured.

Minnesota Twins 3B Miguel Sano swatted a home run Tuesday, Sept. 1, against the Chicago White Sox, finishing 3-for-5 with the solo home run and two runs scored. He is the fourth player in the past 10 seasons to hit at least 14 homers through his first 50 career games.
Fantasy Tip: Sano ($5,800, 11.6% of cap) has emerged as a must-start FantasyScore option thanks to his mid-level price and power potential.

Fantasy Tip: Hughes ($5,600, 11.2% of cap) has been on the disabled list since Aug. 10, so he is eligible to come off. The fact he has a back injury may be enough to make any fantasy owner skittish, so you may be better off throwing him out for the time being.

Minnesota Twins SP Ervin Santana earned his first home victory at Target Field Sunday, Aug. 30, as the Twins beat the Houston Astros 7-5. It was Santana's 15th career game with double-digit strikeouts. He entered Sunday 0-1 with a 9.77 ERA in three starts at Target Field since returning from an 80-game suspension to start the season.
Fantasy Tip: It would have looked foolish to start Santana ($5,800, 11.6% of cap) in your lineup with that record, but he pretty much shut the Astros down. This might mean a shift in your thinking for Santana as far as when to start him.

Fantasy Tip: Suzuki ($3,700, 7.4% of cap) likely is receiving a day off and should return to the lineup soon. Herrmann ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) is hitting only .172 this season and should not be a starting option.

Minnesota Twins OF Torii Hunter is not in the starting lineup against Houston Astros SP Lance McCullers Sunday, Aug. 30. OF Shane Robinson will start in left field and is batting seventh in the lineup.
Fantasy Tip: Hunter ($4,700, 9.4% of cap) should return to the lineup in the next game or two. Robinson ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) is hitting .306 with three RBI this month and could be a cheaper option for owners on FantasyScore.

Minnesota Twins 3B Trevor Plouffe is not in the starting lineup against Houston Astros SP Lance McCullers Sunday, Aug. 30. SS Eduardo Nunez will start at third base and is batting sixth in the lineup.
Fantasy Tip: Plouffe ($3,400, 6.8% of cap) likely is receiving a day off and should be back in the lineup soon. Nunez ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) is hitting .269 with three home runs in limited playing time this season and could be an option if owners are looking to save some money.

Minnesota Twins RP Glen Perkins (back) pitched a scoreless seventh inning and recorded two strikeouts during the Twins 3-0 win over the Houston Astros Friday, Aug.28. RP Kevin Jepsen recorded his ninth save of the season after allowing two hits and a walk in the final frame.
Fantasy Tip: There are a few potential explanations, as Perkins' status was a little iffy entering the game, which is one reason why he may have not been used in the ninth inning. Another could be Perkins' 6.75 ERA over 12 innings since the All-Star break. Seasonal owners may want to let Jepsen's leash out a little longer with the hope he receives more closing opportunities down the stretch. Though, it is likely Perkins returns to the closer role sooner than later.

Fantasy Tip: Escobar ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) is scorching hot with 11 runs, four doubles, four home runs and a 1.281 OPS over his past 10 games. It is a tough matchup Friday, though, so he should be viewed as more of a flier than a lineup lock.

Fantasy Tip: Sano ($5,800, 11.6% of cap) has provided seasonal owners a huge home run and RBI boost since joining the Twins. It is likely a strategical night off against a tough lefty Friday. Nunez ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) shouldn't be viewed as anything more than a desperation flier at FantasyScore Friday.

Fantasy Tip: Sano ($5,800, 11.6% of cap) has eight homers and 24 RBI in August, and his power has been as impressive as advertised. He can make a great anchor to a lineup a FantasyScore right now.

Fantasy Tip: Perkins last appeared Sunday, Aug. 23, and it isn't out of the question for him to have another evening off Thursday, either. Continue to hold him in all formats. Kevin Jespen has pitched in five consecutive games, so if there is an available save opportunity Thursday, expect Trevor May or Casey Fien to receive a chance.

Fantasy Tip: Rosario ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) probably will be back in the lineup in the next game or two. Robinson ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) has at least one hit in six of the last seven games, but owners on FantasyScore should be able to find better options.

Minnesota Twins 1B Joe Mauer went 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI Wednesday, Aug. 26, against the Tampa Bay Rays. He is 4-for-5 with six RBIs this season with the bases loaded and less than two outs. He has now reached base in 28 of the past 29 games at Tropicana Field, and he has 46 hits in 114 at-bats (.404) all-time in St. Petersburg.
Fantasy Tip: Mauer ($3,400, 6.8% of cap) is a must-start in FantasyScore heading into Thursday's series finale against the Rays.
