Los Angeles Dodgers SP Brett Anderson posted a 66.3% ground-ball rate this season, which was the highest mark in the league and the highest since the 2006 season. Anderson is starting Game 3 of the National League Division Series against the New York Mets Monday, Oct. 12.
Fantasy Tip: Anderson ($6,900, 13.8% of cap) faces a tall task attempting to limit the Mets lineup, although his ground-ball tendencies should help. He also pitched much better on the road this season with a 3.07 ERA over his 15 road outings. Still, Anderson is nothing more than a dice roll as your No. 2 starter at FantasyScore Monday.

Fantasy Tip: While the playoffs haven't been overly kind to Kershaw ($8,900, 17.8% of cap), he remains a high-end FantasyScore option and worthy of a long look for contests Tuesday. For his career, Kershaw owns a 4.99 ERA with a 1-6 record through his 12 playoff games.

Updating a previous report, Los Angeles Dodgers 2B Chase Utley's suspension appeal could take up to two weeks, according to New York Mets manager Terry Collins. Collins said, "We have to let the past go."
Fantasy Tip: Utley ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) hasn't started any of the first three games of the season, so in fantasy terms, he doesn't project to have a major impact on the series. With the rough timeline for the suspension appeal, it doesn't appear like there will be any consequence on the NLDS, either. Utley posted a .202/.291/.363 slash line over his 34 games after joining the Dodgers this season, and he is a low-end fantasy option, if he even draws into the starting lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Utley ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) didn't start either of the first two games of the series, either, so it isn't surprising to see him on the bench for Game 3. Even if Utley does draw into the starting lineup at some point, he posted an uninspiring .202/.291/.363 slash line over his 34 games with the Dodgers, and there isn't a lot to like about his form against the solid young arms the Mets boast.
Mon, 12 Oct 2015 13:35:28 -0700
Los Angeles Dodgers OF Joc Pederson is not in the starting lineup Monday, Oct. 12. OF Enrique Hernandez is starting in center field and batting eighth in Game 3 of the National League Division Series against New York Mets SP Matt Harvey Monday.
Fantasy Tip: Hernandez ($3,500, 7.0% of cap) reached base three times in Game 2 Saturday, Oct. 10, and he has been a fantasy spark plug whenever called upon this season. FantasyScore players should view Hernandez as a potential value play for contests Monday. Make sure to avoid Pederson ($3,800, 7.6% of cap).

Los Angeles Dodgers SS Jimmy Rollins is starting at shortstop and batting second against New York Mets SP Matt Harvey in Game 3 of the National League Division Series Monday, Oct. 12. SS Corey Seager is not in the starting lineup Monday.
Fantasy Tip: Seager ($5,400, 10.8% of cap) has started the first two games of the series but has gone just 1-for-8, so Rollins ($3,300, 6.6% of cap) draws in Monday. Rollins finished out the season with a .255/.364/.340 slash line after Thursday, Sept. 1, and lands in a tough matchup Monday, so he is nothing more than a flier at FantasyScore.
Mon, 12 Oct 2015 09:01:14 -0700
Los Angeles Dodgers 2B Chase Utley was suspended for Games 3 and 4 of the division series against the New York Mets after an illegal slide in Game 2 Saturday, Oct. 10, that broke Mets SS Ruben Tejada's leg. Utley is appealing the ruling, but it will not be heard Monday, Oct. 12, according to a source. He will continue to be eligible to play until the appeal is heard, including the game Monday. Utley is 6-for-18 (.333) in his career against Mets SP Matt Harvey with a double and home run, so he could be in the lineup Monday.
Fantasy Tip: Utley ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) has good numbers against Harvey in his career, but he hasn't done much offensively since his trade to the Dodgers midseason. He'll be a cheap option at second base for the games Monday, but he remains a low-end daily pick.

Fantasy Tip: Grandal has yet to record a hit and has struck out three times in his eight at-bats this postseason. He's not an advisable play tonight facing Noah Syndergaard.
Sat, 10 Oct 2015 13:45:03 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Crawford ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) has historically hit well in the six hole. His .309 average from that spot is the highest of any batting order position in his career. He does face a tough task in hitting against Noah Syndergaard, who posted 166 strikeouts in 150 innings this season.
Sat, 10 Oct 2015 13:34:02 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Hernandez ($3,500, 7.0% of cap) is a cheap play if you want to spend more at other positions, but don't expect a lot from him against Noah Syndergaard.

Los Angeles Dodgers SP Clayton Kershaw allowed three runs on four hits in 6 2/3 innings against the New York Mets in Game 1 of the National League Division Series Friday, Oct. 9. He struck out 11 batters and walked four in the game. Kershaw has lost each of his last five postseason starts.
Fantasy Tip: Kershaw ($8,900, 17.8% of cap) has been an outstanding regular season pitcher but has recently struggled during the postseason. He did not have a bad performance in Game 1 but struggled with some walks. Kershaw probably will start against the Mets again in the series if the Dodgers are not swept and could still be a starting option on FantasyScore.
Fri, 09 Oct 2015 14:33:50 -0700
Los Angeles Dodgers C A.J. Ellis is starting behind the plate and batting seventh in Game 1 of the National League Division Series against New York Mets SP Jacob deGrom Friday, Oct. 9. C Yasmani Grandal is not in the starting lineup.
Fantasy Tip: Ellis ($3,500, 7.0% of cap) serves as Clayton Kershaw's ($8,900, 17.8% of cap) personal catcher, so he should see starts whenever the ace takes the hill. Ellis is a low-end fantasy option, though, and he is best viewed as a source of cap relief for FantasyScore contests. Grandal ($4,000, 8.0% of cap) should see the majority of starts at catcher for the Dodgers, and he has more upside with the stick.
Fri, 09 Oct 2015 14:26:41 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Kershaw ($8,900, 17.8% of cap) has also been absolutely filthy in the second half with a 10-1 record, a 1.31 ERA, and he held opposing bats to a .422 OPS through his 15 starts since the All-Star break. View the lefty as a slam-dunk FantasyScore play Friday.
Fri, 09 Oct 2015 12:25:35 -0700
Fantasy Tip: It was expected Puig ($4,200, 8.4% of cap) would make the roster, but now that it is official, FantasyScore players should view him as a high-risk, high-reward outfield option for contests. His price is way down, but he also has just five plate appearances since aggravating his hamstring injury Thursday, Aug. 27.
Wed, 07 Oct 2015 18:41:09 -0700
Los Angeles Dodgers OF Yasiel Puig said he was told that he will be on the team's National League Division Series roster. Manager Don Mattingly said all players have been told whether or not they have made the roster, although it will not be publicly announced until it is submitted to Major League Baseball Friday, Oct. 9.
Fantasy Tip: Puig ($4,200, 8.4% of cap) returned from the disabled list from a hamstring injury during the final week of the regular season but his status for the playoffs remained up in the air until now. It remains to be seen how much Puig will play during the NLDS, so he is a very risky play in FantasyScore.
