Los Angeles Dodgers 2B Alex Guerrero went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in a 3-1 loss to the San Diego Padres Sunday, April 26, and manager Don Mattingly said Guerrero will see some time in left field while OF Yasiel Puig (hamstring) is on the disabled list.
Fantasy Tip: Guerrero ($1,900, 3.8% of cap) is hitting .500 with five home runs and 13 RBIs this year in 22 at-bats. His power potential is intriguing, and he offers great upside for the price at FantasyScore when he is in the lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Peralta had served as the Dodgers' closer in the absence of Kenley Jansen (foot), who is not expected to return until the middle of next month. Yimi Garcia now appears to be the team's go-to guy in the ninth inning, although Juan Nicasio and Chris Hatcher could also be in the mix for save opportunities.

Los Angeles Dodgers OF Yasiel Puig (hamstring) has been placed on the 15-day disabled list due to a strained hamstring. It marks the first time in his career that Puig has landed on the disabled list.
Fantasy Tip: Expect OF Andre Ethier ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) to get the bulk of the playing time in right field while Puig is sidelined, although OF Scott Van Slyke ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) could see additional at-bats as well. Manager Don Mattingly said he believed Puig could play again in four or five days but he was worried that the odds of him suffering another setback immediately after returning were too great.

Los Angeles Dodgers SP Brandon McCarthy (elbow) left his start against the San Diego Padres Saturday, April 25, in the sixth inning, due to tightness in his right elbow. After the game, he admitted to reporters that he has been bothered by elbow issues for more than a week and said he should have left the game in the second inning. McCarthy is scheduled to undergo an MRI exam Monday, April 27.
Fantasy Tip: McCarthy ($4,600, 9.2% of cap) is expected to miss at least one start and could wind up on the disabled list depending on what the MRI exam results reveal.

Fantasy Tip: Baker represents too much risk to start Sunday. The Dodgers are just biding their time until SP Hyun-Jin Ryu ($6,400, 12.8% of cap) (shoulder) returns from the disabled list. Baker and his career 4.25 ERA should be left alone.

Fantasy Tip: Garcia has been filthy with a 0.93 ERA and 16 K's in 9 2/3 innings. He needs to be added in most mixed leagues.
Sat, 25 Apr 2015 15:26:10 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Yimi Garcia and Juan Nicasio could figure into save situations until Peralta and/or Kenley Jansen return. Garcia has been filthy with 16 K's in 9 2/3 innings and a 0.93 ERA. He's the best bet.

Los Angeles Dodgers SP Zack Greinke pitched seven scoreless innings against the San Diego Padres Friday, April 24, to pick up his third win of the season. Greinke struck out seven batters and walked three during the outing.
Fantasy Tip: Greinke ($8,100, 16.2% of cap) has started the 2015 season on a strong note with a 1.35 ERA over the first four games. He has struck out 21 batters in 26 2/3 innings during that span. Greinke will face the San Francisco Giants in his next start and should be a solid starting option for owners on FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: Puig ($5,300, 10.6% of cap) could be on the shelf for a small stretch if his hamstring injury is serious, so keep an eye on this situation. You obviously may want to go with other outfielders even if Puig plays because it is hard to tell how he will do.

Los Angeles Dodgers OF Yasiel Puig (knee) was hit in the knee by a 96 mph from San Diego Padres SP Andrew Cashner Friday, April 24, but he Puig stayed in the game after remaining on the ground for a couple of minutes.
Fantasy Tip: While it is a good sign that Puig ($5,300, 10.6% of cap) was able to stay in the game, make sure to pay close attention to his status in the coming days before using him at FantasyScore in case the knee swells up and he is forced to take a game or two off.

Fantasy Tip: Greinke ($8,100, 16.2% of cap) allowed one earned run on two hits in a home start against the Padres April 7, and he has been dominant in San Diego. If you pay up for a starter at FantasyScore Friday, make sure it's Greinke.

Los Angeles Dodgers 2B Alex Guerrero went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and single in a 3-2 loss to the San Francisco Giants Thursday, April 23, and he is hitting .474 with four home runs and 12 RBIs in 19 at-bats this year.
Fantasy Tip: Although Juan Uribe ($2,200, 4.4% of cap) has returned from injury and is expected to remain the primary starter at third base, Guerrero ($1,900, 3.8% of cap) has shown plenty of offensive upside. When he does start, he is a great value play at FantasyScore.

Los Angeles Dodgers RP Kenley Jansen (foot) said he will throw a bullpen session Saturday, April 25, and then throw a simulated game Tuesday, April 28. He'll go on a minor league rehab assignment after that if he doesn't have any setbacks.
Fantasy Tip: Jansen will immediately return to the Dodgers' closing role when fully healthy, especially after the Dodgers' bullpen imploded Thursday. Until Jansen's return, Joel Peralta is the Blue reliever to own in all formats for his short-term window for save opportunities.
Thu, 23 Apr 2015 10:59:24 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Ellis ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) has lost considerable playing time to Yasmani Grandal to open the 2015 season, and he's not of much use to FantasyScore gamers. Ellis really is only worth owning in deep NL-only leagues at this point.
Thu, 23 Apr 2015 10:54:18 -0700
Los Angeles Dodgers 3B Juan Uribe is not in the starting lineup Thursday, April 23. 2B Alex Guerrero is starting at the hot corner and hitting seventh in the batting order against San Francisco Giants SP Ryan Vogelsong.
Fantasy Tip: Guerrero ($1,900, 3.8% of cap) hit his second pinch-hit home run of the season last night in a loss, and he has three long balls on the year, to go along with a .438 batting average (7-for-16). He has the pop to turn heads at FantasyScore, and his low price could really pay off Thursday against the struggling Vogelsong.
