Fantasy Tip: Seager snapped an eight-game slide without an RBI. He has a ton of upside and power potential and remains a must-start in all fantasy leagues and DFS play despite his recent power outage.

Fantasy Tip: We told you about Wood's drastic home-road splits earlier, and it didn't get much better after this one. He has a 1.29 ERA in two starts at Chavez Ravine, and 0-3 with a 8.05 ERA in four road assignments. Needless to say, start him in NL-only fantasy play and DFS at home, reserve him for road trips until he gets untracked away from SoCal.

Fantasy Tip: McCarthy is making slow and steady progress, and he could be back sometime this summer. Avoid him in fantasy leagues until he can officially return and prove his health in a few starts without any setbacks or a pitch cap.

Fantasy Tip: Ryu continues to make progress after left shoulder surgery, but he still has a long way to go. Avoid him in fantasy leagues until he can officially return and prove his health in a handful of games without any setbacks or restrictions.

Fantasy Tip: At this point, Wood is a difficult arm to trust, but he might be worth a flier start next time he takes the hill at Dodger Stadium. However, in the majority of seasonal leagues, it is time to move on from the reeling lefty. At this point, Wood's 5.18 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 28 strikeouts through 33 innings aren't paying the fantasy bills in any format.

Los Angeles Dodgers SP Julio Urias tossed six no-hit innings in a start for Class AAA Oklahoma City Wednesday, May 4, with no walks and six strikeouts. He has a 1.88 ERA through five appearances (four starts) this season, with 29 strikeouts over 24 innings.
Fantasy Tip: The 19-year-old left-hander is considered one of the game's top pitching prospects and it will be difficult for the Dodgers to justify keeping him in the minors if he keeps pitching like this. He possesses an arsenal of several above-average pitches, including a fastball that has been clocked as high as 97 mph and typically sits between 91 and 94 mph. Urias should be on the radar of fantasy owners in NL-only, dynasty and keeper formats.

Los Angeles Dodgers OF Scott Van Slyke (back) won't be able to return to action for at least another month in a best-case scenario, according to manager Dave Roberts. He has been doing exercises to strengthen his core muscles but hasn't been cleared to resume baseball activity.
Fantasy Tip: If all goes well, Van Slyke could return to action in early June. The 29-year-old outfielder is a solid option in daily and NL-only fantasy leagues versus southpaws when healthy.

Los Angeles Dodgers 2B Chase Utley and OF Joc Pederson are not in the starting lineup against Tampa Bay Rays left-handed SP Drew Smyly Wednesday, May 4. 2B Howie Kendrick is at the keystone and is hitting fifth, while OF Trayce Thompson starts in center field and is batting sixth.
Fantasy Tip: Both Kendrick and Thompson had big games in the win over the Rays last night, so those in daily games could elect to roll the dice and hope they stay hot. Other than big nights Tuesday, Kendrick and Thompson haven't done a whole lot with the bats. The matchup against Smyly, who's been very strong, isn't a kind one, though.

Fantasy Tip: Kendrick is hitting .197 after lashing one-third of his season's hit total Tuesday. If he keeps it up, he's worth returning to your lineups.
Tue, 03 May 2016 14:21:25 -0700
Los Angeles Dodgers OF Carl Crawford will not start in any of the games against the Tampa Bay Rays this week, according to manager Dave Roberts. The Dodgers are taking a cautious approach with five games on turf this week.
Fantasy Tip: The aging and injury-prone Crawford just recently came off a DL stint for a back issue, so this makes complete sense. It's unfortunate he won't get to face his old team, but it is what it is. That'll likely mean more starts for Enrique Hernandez, moving his short-term value up a tick. While he's struggling lately at the plate, he could make for a sleeper value pick in daily games tonight hitting leadoff.
Tue, 03 May 2016 14:12:06 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Seager gets the night off because of the lefty matchup on the mound. Culberson has five hits in his last 21 at-bats and his fantasy value is minimal, so look elsewhere for Seager's replacement.
Tue, 03 May 2016 14:09:10 -0700
Fantasy Tip: This appears to be nothing but a normal night off for Grandal, so put him on your bench in daily leagues. Ellis is a .237-1-8 hitter in the past 30 days so his fantasy value is minimal.
Tue, 03 May 2016 14:05:11 -0700
Los Angeles Dodgers 2B Chase Utley is out of the starting lineup Tuesday, May 3, against the Tampa Bay Rays. 2B Howie Kendrick is batting fifth against Rays SP Matt Moore, and DH Enrique Hernandez has the leadoff spot where Utley usually bats.
Fantasy Tip: Utley, a lefty, is out likely due to the lefty matchup with Moore. Kendrick carries little fantasy value (.063 in 17 at-bats in the past week), and Hernandez (.067) is similarly struggling. Leave those hitters out of your lineups.
Sun, 01 May 2016 18:20:34 -0700
Fantasy Tip: He bounced back from a rare rough outing, and Kershaw has now struck out at least 10 in three straight and owns a 1.96 ERA for the year. He is on his way to another dominant campaign.

Los Angeles Dodgers OF Yasiel Puig is in the lineup Sunday, May 01, against San Diego Padres SP Drew Pomeranz and will bat leadoff. The Dodgers will get a host of other regulars a day off, however, as 2B Chase Utley, C Yasmani Grandal, OF Carl Crawford and OF Joc Pederson are not starting. In their place, OF Enrique Hernandez will occupy left field and bat second, 2B/3B Howie Kendrick will play second base and hit fifth, OF Trayce Thompson will spell Pederson in center and bat sixth, and C A.J. Ellis will catch and hit eighth.
Fantasy Tip: Puig is mired in a 7-for-51 slump since the middle of April following a hot start and is probably needs to be benched in most leagues for now, although manager Dave Roberts is obviously showing a lot of faith in his struggling slugger by batting him leadoff today. Utley is getting a rest day and has cooled slightly after batting over .300 for most of April, but he should be inserted back in lineups Tuesday when the Dodgers hit the road to face the Tampa Bay Rays.
