Fantasy Tip: Monitor Puig's ($5,300, 10.6% of cap) status and progress through his rehab assignment and look out for an official return date. He has nice upside at his cap hit for FantasyScore players, and Puig is surrounded by solid bats in a strong lineup. It might be time for seasonal players to accept injuries as part of the package with Puig, though.

Fantasy Tip: It was also the second consecutive game Pederson ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) led off for the Dodgers, after he spent all season batting sixth or lower. He carried plenty of hype entering the season and his solid run in spring training helped. Pederson is currently sporting a .447 on-base percentage, which is excellent for points leagues and daily contests. Add his recent power surge, and Pederson should be on your FantasyScore radar.

Fantasy Tip: Although Jansen may have to wait a bit to close games, he is still worth owning in all fantasy formats. He will start logging saves again eventually, and in the meantime, his strikeout potential makes him worth keeping inserting in your lineup when he returns.

Fantasy Tip: Puig ($5,300, 10.6% of cap) had been heating up when he went down with the hamstring injury, but when he returns, it is still a good idea to wait until he has a game or two under his belt before paying for him at FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: Turner ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) is a low-priced flier for FantasyScore players Friday. He has hit .313 over his last 521 at-bats, and hitting behind Adrian Gonzalez helps, too. The 36-year-old Uribe ($2,200, 4.4% of cap) is in danger of losing additional playing time, and he is best ignored in the majority of fantasy formats.

Fantasy Tip: Guerrero ($3,400, 6.8% of cap) is locked in at the plate this season with a .423 average (11-for-26), five home runs and 13 RBI. He is an excellent FantasyScore option given the lack of upside at second base around his price point.

Fantasy Tip: Continue to stash Ryu ($6,100, 12.2% of cap) in a DL roster slot in the majority of formats and check back for updates. Over 344 innings in his career, Ryu has a respectable 3.17 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 7.7 K/9, and pitching for a strong team helps, too.

Los Angeles Dodgers OF Joc Pederson currently leads the majors with a 22.1% walk rate at age 23. He also has the third best on-base percentage in the league at .461. However, he also ranks 19th in strikeout rate, but he was moved to the leadoff spot Wednesday, April 29. Pederson currently has a slash line of .298/.461/.596 on the year.
Fantasy Tip: Pederson ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) is off to a great start and could see his fantasy value skyrocket even more with the move to leadoff of a potent lineup. At FantasyScore, he's much more attractive batting leadoff, especially since it should give him more opportunities to run.

Fantasy Tip: Seager torched Double-A with a .375-5-15 line and has been spending time at third base. He is likely on the cusp of a callup at any time.

The Los Angeles Dodgers asked the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim about OF Josh Hamilton before the Angels dealt the outfielder to the Texas Rangers, according to sources familiar with the discussions. The Dodgers are believed to have discussed both straight deals and three-way scenarios which would have sent Hamilton to Texas, but apparently they were unable to satisfy their cross-town rivals.
Fantasy Tip: Hamilton had a no-trade clause, and he was clearly interested in returning to Texas where he has enjoyed his most success as a big leaguer. It will be interesting to see if BroHam can straighten his game out and re-emerge as a FantasyScore threat back in Arlington where he is obviously more comfortable.

Fantasy Tip: Through two career starts, Frias has a 10.80 ERA and a 2.10 WHIP, and he allowed a .406/.424/.531 slash line to opposing hitters. He allowed 18 hits over 12 2/3 innings with Triple-A Oklahoma this season, too. Until he strings together a few quality outings with the Dodgers there is no reason to start Frias. With a potential rotation spot, he is worth a speculative add in cavernous mixed and NL-only leagues, though.

Fantasy Tip: FantasyScore players will want to check back for an official announcement, but outside of cavernous mixed and NL-only formats, Baker ($3,000, 6.0% of cap) isn't worth starting. There is upside, but he has only made 12 starts since 2011, and at 33, you'll want to see him prove he can still retire batters consistently.
Wed, 29 Apr 2015 15:50:19 -0700
Fantasy Tip: It is safe to drop McCarthy in all seasonal fantasy formats, and likely everywhere outside of cavernous keeper/dynasty formats. Keep an eye out for Julio Urias, who is a young left-handed pitching phenom, and could earn a rotation spot later in the year. In the meantime, Scott Baker ($3,000, 6.0% of cap), who started Sunday, April 26, and Carlos Frias are candidates to start, however neither projects to have any significant fantasy impact.
Wed, 29 Apr 2015 15:32:01 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Greinke ($8,500, 17.0% of cap) has been excellent since joining the Dodgers, as he boasts a 35-12 record, a 2.59 ERA, a 1.11 WHIP and a 8.3 K/9 mark. While rarely included in the No. 1 fantasy starter discussion, Greinke has certainly pitched like one over the past two years and thus far in 2015. Start him with confidence in all formats, including FantasyScore, until he provides a reason not to.
Wed, 29 Apr 2015 15:09:25 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Grandal ($2,900, 5.8% of cap) has struggled in his first season with the Dodgers, as he is currently sporting an uninspiring .196 batting average. Still, he has proven to be a streaky hitter in the past, and he has a favorable mound matchup Wednesday against Ryan Vogelsong. Consider Grandal a nice upside play in FantasyScore contests Wednesday.
